The first stage of the turbofan 16 engine is the first stage of compressor blades. It's the biggest, the longest blade, of course, it's only relative, and compared to the fan blades, it's a big deal.
The blades of the first-stage compressor are also blades with low aspect ratio, i.e., wide chord blades. Because compressor blades are much smaller than fan blades, compressor blades are made of solid titanium alloy blades.
