Chapter 070: Confinement (Part II)

Chapter 070: Confinement (II)

The man in black raised his wand, and two invisible winds restrained the two children's attempts to escape and pulled them through.

"You...... What do you want? Draco asked, horrified.

But the Man in Black ignored Draco, and he walked straight to Catherine.

As the man in black approached, Catherine could clearly feel the growing pain in her chest, and when he stopped in front of her, her heartbeat came to a sudden halt as if it had suddenly hit the brakes.

The intense pain combined with the sudden lack of oxygen blurred Catherine's consciousness as if she saw a pearly white, translucent hand emerge from the body of the man in black, seemingly aimed at her chest, reminding the girl of the terrifying legends of Muggle worlds that gouge out children's hearts to eat.

Suddenly, there was a sound of horses' hooves, the hand was gone, and Catherine and Draco fell to the ground, the man in black and a centaur tangled.

"Whoosh!" The bowstring snapped, and an arrow nearly hit the man in black, and Hagrid's head appeared across from them.

The man in black turned and fled, and disappeared without a trace in the blink of an eye.

"Catherine! Malfoy! Harry and Hermione appeared next to Hagrid.

"We're fine!" Catherine said hoarsely, panting and struggling to straighten up.

"What's going on, who attacked you?" Harry stared at the unicorn on the ground in shock.

"The unicorn killer," Draco said as he staggered to his feet, holding on to the tree, "and he drank the unicorn's blood." โ€

"Are you sure he actually drank the blood of a unicorn." Hagrid's face sank.

"Of course, he still had it on his lips when he fled? Don't you see? Draco wondered how he looked.

"Hagrid, is there anything wrong with the unicorn's blood?" Hermione asked.

"The blood of a unicorn can last you, even if you are dying," the centaur began, his hair was white and blonde, and he had the body of a silver-maned horse, "but you must pay dearly for it." Because, in order to save your own life, you slaughtered a pure, weak and helpless life, so from the moment its blood touches your lips, you will have a half-dead life, a cursed life. โ€

"And who is he?" Harry asked.

The centaur looked at Harry carefully with his astonishingly blue eyes for a moment before he said, "A man who has waited silently for so many years, longing for a comeback, clinging to his life, waiting for his moment. โ€

"Voldemort." Catherine directly unravels the mystery.

The centaur frowned, Harry covered the scar on his forehead, Hermione shivered, Hagrid took a few steps back in fear, and Draco stumbled and nearly fell.

There was silence all around.

"Hagrid," Catherine asked suddenly, "is our mission for tonight over?" โ€

"Oh, yes. I'm going to take you away now. Hagrid looked at the centaur, "Ferenze, thank you. โ€

Hagrid then led them out of the Forbidden Forest to his hut, where he told them to hurry back to sleep before returning to the Forbidden Forest to dispose of the unicorn's remains.

The four children walked quietly towards the castle gates, the effect of what had just happened on them was too great, especially Catherine, who had already discovered five problems.

First of all, the unicorn, who had lost too much blood, but refused to let her come close, wasn't she a pure virgin?

Then there's Voldemort, why did he appear in the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts? How did he get in? Where has he been hiding in the past 10 years, and what has he experienced?

Then there was a sudden sharp pain in her chest, if you count the one at the opening party, this is the third time, and each time the cause seems to be different, which is really a thing that bothers her very much.

Then there was the hand, if Catherine was not mistaken, it was supposed to be a ghost's hand, but the problem was that her consciousness was a little blurry at the time, so she couldn't be sure if what she had just seen was real, after all, Draco, who was also on the scene, didn't seem to see that hand.

Finally, there is Tracy, when Catherine discovers Voldemort's identity, Tracy suddenly leaves her side, only at that time she is still in a daze and does not find out. It wasn't until the centaur told the purpose of the unicorn's blood, and Tracey grabbed her wand that she had dropped to the ground and flew in front of her, that Catherine noticed its anomaly, but she couldn't think of what caused it to leave.

However, Catherine understands that these five questions will not be answered in a short period of time, and the most important thing now is to smooth out the effects of confinement.

"Harry, Hermione." When the four of them came to the foyer, Catherine suddenly stopped, took out four pill bottles from her pocket and handed them to the two Gryffindors, "Tranquilizer, drink one bottle if you have nightmares, and look for me when you don't have it." โ€

"Thank you, Catherine!" Harry's panicked expression finally relaxed, and Hermione barely smiled, "Catherine, I-" She tried to say something, but a stern voice suddenly interrupted her.

"Catherine! Draco! Snape abruptly appeared in the foyer, "Follow me to the office!" With that, without waiting for any reaction from the four students, they walked straight down the stairs that led to the basement.

Draco and Catherine said goodbye to Harry and Hermione, and then hurried after Snape to his office.

As soon as he entered, Snape took two vials from a drawer and threw them at them, shouting the order, "Drink!" โ€

Draco looked up and drank it without hesitation, only to find that Catherine had only opened the cap of the bottle and had not drunk it at all.

Sensing Draco's puzzled look, Catherine closed the bottle cap and smiled, "I have it myself!" โ€

"That's right!" Draco realized that he had just drunk a tranquilizer, and his spirit softened at the thought of this, but fortunately Snape had already caught him with magic and placed him on the four-poster bed that he had just conjured.

"Why don't you drink it?" With Draco in place, Snape immediately looked at Catherine.

"I said I didn't want to be dependent on drugs." Catherine calmly slipped the vial into her pocket.

Snape was noncommittal about Catherine's behavior, and he only pursed his lips to look at her calm face for a moment before re-speaking.

"I've heard you've encounteredโ€”" Snape pondered his words, "the mystery man." โ€

"Yes." Catherine answered, and said no more, and the atmosphere became silent.

"What if you-" Snape thought for a moment before slowly, "I'm afraid-"

"Iโ€”I'm not afraid!" Catherine interrupted him suddenly, her voice unusually firm, but her eyes stared blankly at the floor in front of her.

"If you're not really afraid," Snape walked up to her, "why don't you dare look at me?" โ€

Catherine looked up at Snape, who was twenty inches taller than her, and then said in a helpless tone, "You're too tall!" โ€

As soon as she finished speaking, Catherine noticed that Snape had suddenly become shorter, and she blinked and took half a step back before she realized that he was already half-crouched in front of her.

"You're really scared!" Snape looked Catherine in the eye, and in addition to shock and stubbornness, there was a deeply suppressed fear.

"Nope! I didn't! Catherine gritted her teeth, "I shouldn'tโ€”" She snapped shut her mouth and turned her head.

"Why shouldn't you be afraid, Catherine?" Snape asked, but Catherine kept pursing her lips and looking away, which made him exclaim, "Answer-me! Now!โ€

"Becauseโ€”" Snape's command finally opened Catherine's mouth, and she closed her eyes and said in a feeble voice, "what is feared becomes a weak point to be attacked!" โ€

"At Hogwarts," Snape forced her to look at herself, "no one will attack you!" โ€

"And what about tonight? What about hunting days? What about Halloween Eve? And the sneak attacks that haven't stopped since the beginning of the school year? Catherine glared at Snape and asked angrily.

This left Snape speechless, after all, the average first-year student has never received special "treatment" as often as she does, and even Harry, who receives "special care", is not as "wonderful" as she is.

"I'm used to it," Catherine lowered her head, her voice calming again, "after all, I'm not an ordinary person at all, how can I hope for a peaceful life!" โ€

"You're just an 11-year-old girl!" Snape suddenly reached out and let Catherine's head rest on his shoulder, "You have the power to be afraid. โ€

"I can't allow myself to be cowardly!" Catherine's voice became hoarse, and silent tears quietly dripped from her closed eyes.

"You couldโ€”" Snape paused for a moment before continuing, "here!" Because I'll protect you! โ€

Catherine's body shook violently, and then began to tremble slightly, but she didn't hear a cry until Snape realized that the clothes on her shoulders were wet.

What kind of environment will make a person develop the habit of crying silently, thinking of this, Snape couldn't help but exclaim angrily: "Cry! โ€

"I-no-will!" Catherine spoke in fits and starts, but there was not even a single sob.

Snape really didn't know what to say now, because he was also a man who couldn't cry.

Snape hesitated for a moment before hugging her cold body and patting her on the back lightly, the faint scent of moonlight wafting through her, blurring Catherine's consciousness.

The next day, Catherine was awakened by the glare of sunlight shining into her eyes, and she was helpless to find that she had overslept again, and she couldn't help but pull up the quilt to cover her head, as if that way she would disappear, but Draco's unawake dream moaning reminded her that she was not the only one who had overslept.

Catherine carefully poked her head out of the veil to find Snape absent, and to find a lingering scent of perfume in the air, even though it was already light, to be ignored.

"Mr. Malfoy has been here?" Catherine looked at the two stone sculptures of giant serpents.

"When you're asleep," Enric nodded, "Snape called him over." โ€

"And he almost got lost to youโ€”" Ann Liwen spat out the snake letter, "shaving half of his hair." โ€

Imagine Lucius's embarrassment last night, Catherine couldn't help but blush, her habit seemed to be almost in trouble again, but she obviously didn't take the tranquilizer, why did she fall asleep again?
