Chapter 015: Penny Dursley
Chapter 015: Penny Dursley
Draco nodded vigorously in agreement, but before he could say anything, there was another loud "bang", and the two of them stared at the driver with grim faces, not even noticing that the window had turned into farmland.
In a small community park in Little Whinging, Surrey, a boy with short platinum hair and a girl with long burgundy hair are looking at each other with pale faces.
"I've never found out -- down to earth -- that's how it is." The girl stammered a little.
"It's also the first time I've found out that drag racing is really a scary thing!" The boy found that his feet were so weak that he simply sat on a nearby swing.
"Drag racing will at least follow the road, that's clearly a rampage!" The girl couldn't help but sit down on the swing next to him, "I really should have checked the blood alcohol level of that driver!" β
"Is it necessary?"
"Drunk driving is super dangerous! Even in the wizarding world, everything will automatically dodge, so you should consider the safety of passengers! β
The two of them sat on the swing and chatted without saying a word, until their feet regained their strength, and then they got up and walked towards the privet road.
"Is this it? 4 Privet Road - Dursley's House. The boy pointed to the bronze plaque at the entrance of a neat little garden and asked the girl beside him.
"It should be," replied the girl in a very uncertain tone, "and I'm here for the first time." β
"Just ask." So saying, the boy pushed open the small wooden door of the garden and led the way towards the gate.
"How are you going to get in now?" The boy stood on the steps and studied the pear door in front of him, "Wait for it to ask?" β
"Muggles usually just need to ring the doorbell," the girl stood beside him, reaching for a button by the door, "and waiting for the master to open the door." β
"It's such trouble!" The boy pouted disdainfully and said, "My manor only needs to explain the purpose, and when we agree, it will open automatically." β
"After all, there are only four people living here." The girl shrugged.
"There are only three people living in my house." The boy was given a strict zhΓ²ng ιshΓ¬.
The girl smiled and didn't explain again, but pointed to the wooden door and said, "Someone is coming." β
Sure enough, there was a sound of footsteps in the door, and after a while, the door was opened by a thin blonde woman, who was stunned when she found the two children standing outside the door.
"Good morning, Mrs. Dursley!" The girl looked up and smiled sweetly and asked, "Is Harry at home, please?" β
But the woman didn't seem to hear the question at all, but squatted down, looked at the girl, and asked in a somewhat trembling tone: "Child, can you sue me by your name?" β
"Of course!" The girl blinked and smiled very cutely, "My name is Catherine, and his name is Draco Malfoy!" The girl pointed to the boy and introduced her.
But the woman ignored the boy and asked very nervously, "What about your family name?" β
"I'm an orphan." Catherine's eyes were watery, and her tone suddenly became a little sad.
"Poor boy!" The woman suddenly hugged the girl tightly into her arms, and the boy tried to stop her, but saw the girl shake her hand.
"Mrs. Dursley, are you alright?" The girl asked slowly and cautiously in a very calm tone.
"Oh!" The woman seemed to come back to her senses suddenly, and quickly let go of the girl, "I'm sorry," she said with a stiff expression, as if she was still stuck in her own thoughts, "I just think of my sister's child, I-" She struggled for a long time before she regained a little normality, "I'm out of shape!" β
"It's okay!" The girl smiled and took a handkerchief from her pocket and handed it to the other person.
"Thank you!" The woman rubbed the corners of her eyes and said, "Who did you say you came to, Dudley?" β
"No, we're coming to Harry." The girl smiled sweetly again.
"You said Ha-Leigh!" The woman stood up abruptly and let out an impassioned soprano voice, and then quickly descended to a heavy bass under the girl's puzzled eyes.
"Yes, is he there?" The girl asked, blinking.
"Yes, of course he is." The woman hurriedly answered, then raised her voice and shouted, "Harry! β
There was silence in the room for a moment, and then from the second floor came a boy's shout: "I'll come down right away!" A series of ping-pong crashes followed.
"He's a little stupid!" The woman said embarrassedly as a hoarse man's voice came from the living room, "What's wrong, Penny, what's going on?" "Two bulging heads, one large and one small, protruded from the living room.
"It's okay! Nothing happened! Penny Dursley gave her husband a stiff smile and waved him and his son in.
"Mom, are you sure?" The smaller, round-headed man asked.
"Of course!" Penny glared at her son, "I'll talk to you later, Vernon, take Dudley to TV." β
The kid, Dudley, seemed to be trying to argue something, but was pulled back by his father.
"It's really fine!" Penny turned back to face the two children, smiling stiffly.
"I know!" The girl smiled as well, while the boy rolled his eyes violently.
"Aunt Penny, what's the matter?" A dark-haired boy stood on the stairs and looked at the doorway in confusion.
"Why are you ......" Penny habitually wanted to scold something, but suddenly stopped stiffly, and then changed to say in a very gentle voice, "Harry, someone is looking for you!" β
Harry stared at his aunt with wide eyes for a long time before he looked at the two children at the door amid the angry look in the other's eyes.
"Hey, it's you, how did you find here?" He was the first to see the platinum-haired boy, which surprised him very much, and hurried down the stairs.
Draco didn't answer, but pouted, drawing attention to the girl next to him.
"Catherine!" Harry screamed in surprise and rushed to the girl, "Why are you here!" β
"Because by chance, Master Draco is going to take me to familiarize himself with it these daysβ" Catherine took his right hand and smiled as she introduced the situation to him, "The environment, I think of you, the situation is similar to mine, so I came to you!" β
"W-can I?" Harry blushed, looking back and forth at Draco and Catherine at a loss.
"One less is not too much, and one more is not too much." Draco raised his head and said in an arrogant tone, his eyes fixed on Catherine's left hand.
"It's-thank you!" Harry grabbed his hair and said, "Should I bring anything then?" β
Draco swept him from top to bottom and bottom up and said, "Maybe you should change your clothes!" β
Harry's face turned even redder as he shouted "Wait for me" before turning and running upstairs.
"Where are you going?" Penny asked suddenly.
"First to Stonehenge on the outskirts of Salisbury, then to lunch, and in the afternoonβ" Catherine looked at Draco.
"Durham."
"Durham? Are youβ" Penny bit her lip hard, "tooβwizard?" β
"Yes." Catherine replied with a smile, and Draco gave him a cold look, but it was a pity that Penny hadn't noticed him at all from the beginning to now.
"Really?" Penny covered her mouth, her voice tinged with a cry.
"I'm all right!" Harry's voice suddenly came down the stairs, breaking the somewhat unusual atmosphere in the doorway.
Catherine smiled as he rushed down the stairs, then looked up and politely asked Penny, "Ma'am, can Harry go out with us?" β
"It's-!" Harry suddenly remembered that he had forgotten some of the "precepts" of this house, and he cautiously looked up and asked, "Aunt Penny, can I go out with them?" β
"Yes! Of course! Penny smiled very reluctantly, and then exclaimed, "How can you dress like this!" Wait for me here! After saying that, without waiting for him to react, he hurried into the living room.
"All I have is my cousin's old clothes," Harry blushed as he explained, "and it's the best fit of them all, and I don't understand why she's throwing a tantrum." β
His words sent a chill in Catherine's eyes, and Draco's good-looking eyebrows furrowed with anger.
But before they could say anything, Penny hurried out of the living room, and the two precocious children had to put away the inappropriate expressions on their faces.
"Take it!" Penny shoved a lump into Harry's hand and said with an embarrassed expression, "Go buy a dress that fits." β
Harry looked at the bill in his hand with his mouth wide open in shock, and it wasn't until Draco stabbed him hard from behind that he hurriedly said, "Thank you, Aunt Penny!" β
"No!" Penny seemed to want to touch Harry's head, but eventually withdrew her hand and said in a very low voice, "This is what I owe you!" β
"Farewell, Mrs. Dursley!" Catherine said politely, and Draco, who had been watching coldly, suddenly nodded politely to Penny, and Harry hurriedly said goodbye to his aunt.
"Has your aunt always been so eccentric?" It wasn't until 4 Privet Road finally disappeared from their sight that Draco asked.
"No, I've never seen her like this," Harry shook his head vigorously.
"Perhaps, I know exactly why she suddenly became so weird." Catherine led them to the remote community park next to the street.
"Why?" The two boys immediately looked at Catherine, who was walking in the middle.
"Because a lot of people say," Katherine smiled, "I look a lot like Lily Evans when I was a kid." β
βWhat!β Harry exclaimed, "My-Mum!"
"Wait a minute!" Draco yelled, "Your mother is Lily Evans?" β
βYes!β
"And you're Harry Potter?"
βYes!!β
"You're the 'savior'?"
"If there is no one else in the wizarding world who has the same name as me," Harry said, glaring, "I think I am." β
"Is itβ" Draco said after looking Harry up and down five times with a very serious gaze, "Is the 'Savior' a 'house-elf'?" β
"House-elves?" Harry asked, puzzled, but he could clearly sense that it wasn't a compliment.
"Dobby! Bobby! Draco summoned the invisible servants, "They're house-elves!" β
