Chapter 007: Malfoy Vs Weasley
Chapter 007 Malfoy Vs Weasley
"I noticed a strange fluctuation in mana." Catherine explained the oddity of this magic fluctuation with some frustration, "but both times I wasn't sure where it came from. β
"Twice?" Snape frowned slightly.
"The first time was in the living room at 12 Grimmauld Place."
"Narcissa has brought a lot of things from the Black family." Snape was silent for a moment before giving an explanation.
"Don't worry." Catherine smiled and took Snape's hand and walked forward, "I'm not a Gryffindor, and I'm not going to do something out of curiosity that I don't know what is dangerous." β
The answer clearly pleased Snape, and even a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, even though it made him look even more intimidating.
When Narcissa regained hope, her body recovered quickly, and within ten days, she had returned to the same way Catherine had first seen her, but her body had lost a lot of weight.
Considering the terrible taste of potions, and the house-elves' constant cooking skills, Catherine often prepared meals for Narcissa after she was able to eat, which caused Narcissa to complain again and again that Catherine would be her daughter or daughter-in-law!
Catherine avoided talking about it, and Snape didn't seem to have an opinion, but looking at Draco's sudden two-fold training task, it was clear what the real attitude of the two was, and Lucius was watching the play very seriously, and it was rare that the matter had finally come to an end, and he naturally had to relax, but unfortunately someone was not ready to let him get his wish.
According to Draco, the people who searched for contraband used to come to his house almost once a week until his grandfather was admitted to the hospital, and when Narcissa recovered, Arthur Weasley reported to his house every day as if he was ready to make up the debts he owed.
Anyway, after Catherine came back from morning exercise every day, she would definitely be able to hear Lucius and Arthur arguing, if it weren't for the people watching them all the time, they would probably fight again like that day, but the consequence of not fighting was that the two quarreled more and more fiercely day by day, and the scolding became more and more ugly day by day.
Narcissa did not stop her husband's behavior, because it was a matter of face for the Malfoy family, but after all, there were two children in the family, so she had to take her son and Catherine away so that they would not learn badly.
However, Catherine thinks that Draco has "learned badly", because every time he and Ron have quarreled for the past year, it has been similar to what their father is doing now.
However, Catherine did not tell SΓΉ Narcissa about this, after all, a slap can't be made, and both of them are not shallow under the influence of their father, and they can never be stopped in a few words, not to mention that she has no position to stop it, so why upset the Malfoy family in vain!
Due to the magic that is everywhere in Malfoy Manor, which can also interfere with the operation of electromagnetic objects, Catherine rushed back to 17 Spider Tail Lane on the afternoon of July 25, because the opening ceremony of the Barcelona Olympics will start at 8 p.m. local time, that is, 7 p.m. London time.
At first, the Malfoys thought she was going back, because as soon as the opening ceremony was over, she returned to Malfoy Manor, and in the next few days, Catherine ran back to Spider's Tail Alley after breakfast, and did not come back until about nine or ten o'clock in the evening.
The Malfoys were naturally curious, but Catherine used the fireplace directly in her dealings, and Snape did not object in the slightest, so they did not ask, but Draco couldn't help it, and he quietly followed the girl to the rooftop of Snape's house.
There was an extra room on the empty rooftop, and loud music was coming from inside, and Draco gently pushed the door open, and then heard an excited voice:
"It's unbelievable that Zhang Shan, a female athlete from China, became the first female athlete in Olympic history to win the championship in the skeet shooting mixed competition with a score of 225 and 223 in this competition with male athletes! This is truly an incredible world champion! A woman who triumphs over men! β
"Huh?" Draco couldn't help but poke his head in, and then saw a dark-haired woman dressed in red and holding a shotgun appear on all screens at once.
"Come in!" Catherine patted her head on the couch under her and said without replying.
"Why are you looking at these?" Delako sat down in the empty seat next to her and asked, puzzled, "Isn't this an easy thing for you?" β
"If you don't even have a chance to do it, how do you know it's going to be easy!" Sitting cross-legged on the couch, Catherine said reverently, "People always wait until they lose to learn to cherish!" β
"Soβ" said Delako after a moment's hesitation, "you should not waste your limited time on what you have lost, and you should cherish what you have now." β
Catherine turned her head in surprise and stared at Delako for a moment before speaking, "You're right! β
"Shall you go back?" Delako held out his hand to her.
"Wait a minute!" Catherine took his hand and turned back to look back at the screens, "I'm looking for someone." β
"Who?" Delaco followed and looked at the screen.
"You'll know when you see it." Catherine bought a pass.
Delako couldn't help but be curious, and kept looking at the screens back and forth, but unfortunately he still didn't know who Catherine was looking for until he got home in the evening, so he couldn't help but follow her to Snape's house the next day.
This continued until July 31, as Catherine and Arthur agreed to go to the Weasley's house that day, and it seems that Arthur did not come to Malfoy Manor early in the morning to quarrel with Lucius.
"Well, it should be enough to bring these things." As soon as Catherine got up at six o'clock in the morning, Narcissa brought her house-elf Mona over to help her pack her things, and in addition to her original luggage, Narcissa also brought a bunch of the latest fashionable girly clothes.
"Mrs. Malfoy, I don't think you have to bring so much!" Catherine stood in the corner bewildered and looked at Narcissa, who had finally stopped giving orders.
"I don't think so, Catherine!" Narcissa pulled the girl to the mirror and sat down, "You're going for two weeks." β
"But I'm going to Weasley's." Catherine really didn't know how to persuade this lady who suddenly became a mother.
"Of course I do!" Narcissa carefully combed the girl's hair.
"At least you don't have to bring so many new clothes!" Catherine sighed silently, she already understood that Narcissa was taking revenge on Arthur for her recent actions, but she didn't want to offend the Weasleys for the time being.
"That's not going to work!" Narcissa looked at Catherine in the mirror, "This is my birthday present from Lucius and me!" β
"Phew!" Catherine couldn't help but gasp, she had just counted, and the pile of new clothes was a full 32 sets.
This meant that if she didn't want to waste it, it would be best to change it every day from now on, because one would wear her school robe almost every day after school, the Hogwarts winter would come very quickly, and the third would be frowned upon in Slytherin if she wore it, especially if you weren't poor.
"Got it!" Narcissa said happily, "Let's see if you like this hairstyle?" β
Catherine looked in the mirror and realized that the back of her head was no longer the same ponytail, and Narcissa had knotted part of her hair at the back of her head into a hair that was diagonally to the left.
"It's like a girl!" The mirror suddenly praised loudly, "You should dress yourself well." β
Catherine's face couldn't help but blush a little more, as a girl, she was indeed very unqualified, the most obvious point was that she never thought about making herself look better.
"Maybe you should put on some makeup," Narcissa walked up to Catherine and examined her face, "your face is so plain!" β
"No, no need!" Catherine suddenly got up and walked away quickly.
"Are youβ" Narcissa blinked, "you've never done makeup!" β
"No," Catherine's eyes darkened for a moment, but then regained her composure, "I have drawn it when necessary." β
Narcissa blinked, she knew that Catherine's childhood was not good, but it seemed even worse than she thought.
"Catherine!" Outside the door, Draco's running suddenly broke the somewhat awkward atmosphere in the room.
"Mom!" Draco came in to see Narcissa first, then Catherine, and then he opened his mouth in surprise, "Your hairβ"
"Is it pretty?" Narcissa walked up to Catherine, put her arm around her shoulder, and asked her son, "I got it for her." β
Draco was speechless in surprise, only nodding.
"Dizzy! How can I have such a stupid son! Narcissa covered her eyes and screamed exaggeratedly, which made Catherine laugh.
"It's so pretty!" Mother's words made Draco finally praise him.
"Did Professor Snape tell you to come and rush me?" Catherine asked with a smile.
"No, no!" Draco squirmed, "I'm here to give you a present!" As he spoke, he took out a long gift box from his pocket and handed it to Catherine, "Happy birthday!" β
"Thank you!" Catherine opened the gift box and found that it was actually a silver necklace inlaid with an inch-sized burgundy oval gemstone, "This-"
"Ruby is the birthstone for July, and its color complements your hair color, so I chose it as your birthday present." Draco's face was a little rosy.
"What else to explain!" Narcissa knocked her son the head, "Help Catherine put it on!" β
"Ahh Be! Draco hurriedly complied, and Catherine could only pull up her hair and ask him to put on the necklace for herself.
"It's really flattering to you." Narcissa pushed Catherine to the mirror, "Looks like you've inherited your father's tricks of pleasing girls!" She turned her head and praised her son.
"Mom!" When Draco saw Catherine's snickering expression through the mirror, his face turned really red, which made him quickly lower his head.
"Now there's only clothes left," Narcissa looked back at Catherine in the mirror, "which one should I choose?" She waved her wand to float the pile of new clothes into the air, then floated up to Catherine one by one to see how the match would look.
Draco looked up curiously to see which dress Catherine would choose, only to hear Narcissa shout.
