Chapter Eighty-Five: Grasp the Present

The collection increment has reached 16oo, and it is long overdue to fulfill the promise of adding more, because the superiors have recently come to check and guide, and there is really no time to take care of it.

……

"Since I'm losing, I'm willing to gamble and lose, so I'll tell you a story......

Fahai saw Jun Xiyue gritting his teeth, and Murong Bingyan was trembling, knowing that the fire had not yet arrived, he had to reluctantly let go of the devil's claws, rolled his eyes, launched a second round of offensive, and forcibly pulled the second daughter to sit on the edge of the stone bed.

"What's the story?" Jun Xiyue was obviously a little absent-minded, while Murong Bingyan had a complicated expression and was silent.

"A story from another world," Fahai smiled leisurely, "and before I tell it, I have a question for you?" ”

"What's the problem?" Jun Xiyue said curiously.

"You said that we monks live a lifetime, vicissitudes of life, in addition to cultivation, the time that truly belongs to us is extremely short, so my question is, life is short, what is the most precious?"

"Needless to say, of course there is nothing that cannot be obtained, and there are things that have been lost." Jun Xiyue's eyelashes moved, and he said immediately.

When Murong Bingyan heard this, although she still didn't say anything, her expression softened, and she seemed to approve of Jun Xiyue's answer.

"The protagonist of my story is the same as you think, but this is wrong." Fahai sold Guanzi.

"Then what do you say is the most precious thing in life?" Jun Xiyue was not convinced, and Murong Bingyan listened unconsciously, and she was also aroused by Fahai's curiosity.

Seeing this, Fahai smiled in his heart, and did not answer immediately, but slowly spoke, and told a Zen story in a low and peaceful voice:

Once upon a time, in a world of worshipping Buddha, there was a Yuanyin Temple, and many people went to worship the Buddha every day, and the incense was very prosperous.

There is a spider on the beam in front of the temple that has made a web, and because it is surrounded by incense and devotional worship every day, the spider has developed a Zen heart for a thousand years.

Suddenly, one day, the Buddha came to Yuanyin Temple, and he was very happy to see the incense here. When I left the temple, I looked up and saw the spiders on the beams. The Buddha stopped and asked the spider: "You and I are finally fated to meet, let me ask you a question, see what kind of humble opinion you have after cultivating for more than a thousand years, how about it?" ”

The spider was very happy to meet the Buddha and hurriedly agreed.

The Buddha asked, "What is the most precious thing in the world?" ”

The spider thought for a moment and replied, "The most precious things in the world are 'not obtained' and 'lost'. The Buddha nodded and left.

In this way, a thousand years later, the spider is still cultivating on the beams of the Yuanyin Temple, and its Zen heart has greatly increased. One day, the Buddha came to the temple again and said to the spider: "Are you okay, do you have any deeper understanding of that problem a thousand years ago?" ”

"I think the most precious things in the world are 'not gained' and 'lost'. ”

The Buddha said, "If you think about it again, I will come to you again." ”

Another thousand years passed, and one day, a strong wind blew, and the wind blew a drop of nectar onto the spider's web. The spider looked at the nectar and saw that it was crystal clear and beautiful, and suddenly loved it. The spider is happy to look at the nectar every day, and it feels that these are the happiest days in three thousand years. Suddenly, another gust of wind blew the nectar away. The spider suddenly felt that something had been lost, and felt very lonely and sad.

At this time, the Buddha came again and asked the spider: "In the past thousand years of spiders, have you thought about this question: what is the most precious thing in the world?" The spider thought of nectar and said to the Buddha, "The most precious things in the world are 'not obtained' and 'lost.'" The Buddha said, "Okay, since you have such an understanding, I will let you go to the world for a while." ”

In this way, the spider was reincarnated into an official family and became a rich lady, and her parents named her Spider. In a flash, the spider reached the age of sixteen, and she had become a graceful girl, very beautiful and moving.

On this day, the emperor decided to hold a celebration banquet for him in the back garden. Many young girls came, including Spider, and the emperor's little princess, Princess Changfeng. Zhuang Yuanlang performed poetry and songs during the banquet, showing his talents, and all the girls present were knocked down by him. But Spider was not nervous or jealous at all, because she knew that this was a marriage given to her by the Buddha.

A few days later, it was a coincidence that when Spider accompanied her mother to worship the Buddha, it happened that Ganlu also accompanied her mother. After worshipping the Buddha after the incense, the two elders spoke on the side. Spider and Ganlu came to the corridor to chat, Spider was very happy, and she could finally be with the person she liked, but Ganlu did not show her affection for her.

Spider said to Ganlu, "Don't you remember what happened on the spider web in Yuanyin Temple sixteen years ago? Ganlu was very surprised, and said, "Spider girl, you are beautiful and very likable, but your imagination is a little richer." With that, he left with his mother.

When Spider came home, she thought to herself, since the Buddha had arranged this marriage, why didn't he let him remember it, and why didn't Ganlu have any feelings for me?

A few days later, the emperor summoned and ordered the new champion Ganlu and Princess Changfeng to complete the marriage; Spider and Prince Zhicao got married. This news was like a thunderbolt in the sky for the spider, and she couldn't think differently that the Buddha actually treated her like this. For a few days, she did not eat or drink, and she thought about it urgently, and her soul was about to go out of her body, and her life was in danger.

When the prince Zhicao knew, he hurried over, threw himself on the side of the bed, and said to the dying spider: "That day, among the girls in the back garden, I fell in love with you at first sight, and I begged my father for him to agree. If you die, then I don't live either. With that, he picked up his sword and prepared to kill himself.

At this moment, the Buddha came and said to the soul of the spider who was about to leave the body, "Spider, have you ever wondered who brought the nectar (sweet deer) to you?" It was brought by the wind (Princess Changfeng), and it was the wind that took it away in the end. Ganlu belongs to Princess Changfeng, and he is just an episode in your life. And the prince Zhicao was a small grass in front of the gate of Yuanyin Temple back then, he looked at you for 3,000 years and admired you for 3,000 years, but you never lowered your head to look at it. Spider, let me ask you again, what is the most precious thing in the world? ”

Fahai's expression ability is ten streets stronger than Lu Dongbin, and the story is told tactfully and movingly, as if she has experienced it herself, and the second daughter who listens to it is quite emotional, especially sympathetic to the infatuated spider.

"How did the spider answer? What happened? Seeing that Fahai stopped abruptly at the most critical point, the two daughters couldn't help but ask in unison.

She said to the Buddha: The most precious thing in the world is not what cannot be obtained and what has been lost, but the happiness that can be grasped now. As soon as she finished speaking, the Buddha left, and the soul of the spider also returned to its place, and when she opened her eyes, she saw the prince Zhicao who was about to kill herself, and she immediately knocked down the sword and hugged the prince deeply, just like we are now......"

Fahai's pair of claws had already unknowingly climbed up to the second daughter's slender waist, "So, this life!" The most precious thing is to grasp the present, cherish the people in front of you, and give up the ...... you can't see."

When it came to the word "grasp", Fahai's hand climbed to the peak naturally, this time, Murong Bingyan just trembled, but surprisingly did not resist again, the mantis leaned slightly, her beautiful eyes were misty, as if she was still reminiscing, and said infatuatedly, "Cherish the present, grasp the present......

"It's really a bad fate, how could we fall in love with you, a thief monk?" Jun Xiyue's words were more bold and direct.

"Amitabha, if you remove the words &1t; like> in your sentence is really bad karma, okay?"
