Chapter 423: On Technique

"So what is true filial piety and loyalty?" The young disciple asked again.

"To be loyal is to obey when you should obey, and to oppose when you should not." The Master replied.

"There's one more thing I want to ask Master." At this time, the first young disciple said, "What is the way to be a subordinate, and how is there a land for a subordinate?" It means that there are only a few masters in the world, and most people still want to be someone else's subordinate, so can being someone else's subordinate make a difference?

However, Wang Tian saw another layer of meaning from this question, among the cultivators, the hierarchy is like a pyramid. There is only one top, and it can be said that everyone is someone else's subordinate. There are more strong people above the strong, and there are more weak people under the weak, so how should you deal with this relationship?

The Master replied: "The husband digs the sweet springs, the trees get the grains, the birds, beasts, fish and turtles are born, and the dead are the ones who have made many achievements and enjoy the world. ”

It means that a person like this should be like the earth, and if you dig it, you will get a sweet spring, and if you cultivate it, you will get five grains. Plants and trees grow on it, and birds, beasts, fish, and turtles have their own place in it. When a man is alive, he starts a family and starts a business on it, and when he dies, he buries it in the ground. The earth has a lot of credit, but it never goes around, but its contribution to society never ends.

"Although you are not sensitive, please do something," the young disciple said.

Listening to his answer, Wang Tian knew the name of this disciple. He said that although he was not smart, he would still do what the teacher said, and he called himself 'Ci', which means that he was Duanmu Ci, that is, Zigong.

"What is Tomoya?" At this time, another disciple stood up and asked. The question he asks is, what is wisdom.

"The righteousness of the people, respecting ghosts and gods and staying away, can be said to know." Confucius replied. His answer is simple, it means to do things in a down-to-earth manner. Respecting ghosts and gods but staying away from them can be said to be wise.

During this period, the gods were in strife and came out to win over their followers, preaching their Taoism everywhere, and even showing their abilities everywhere. So much so that a hundred schools of thought appeared, and various genres appeared. It is very bold for him to be able to say that he respects ghosts and gods at this time. Of course, Wang Tian knew that Kong Qiu was cultivating the way of human saints, and he was not afraid of certain gods. He has now become a human saint. The strength is enough to compete with some gods who are about to fall.

And what he said is also very reasonable, these gods will not really teach them the method of cultivation, so that the people believe in him, they are just using these ordinary people. Instead of being fooled by them, it is better to do things in a down-to-earth manner.

After this person asked, others stood up one after another to ask questions.

"How can Kong Wenzi be called Wenye?" Another disciple stood up and asked.

"Sensitive and studious, not ashamed to ask, is to say the text." Kongqiu replied.

"What does the Master think of himself?" A disciple stood up and asked.

"Silent knowledge (zhì) of it, learning without getting tired. If you are tireless, what is there for me? Kongqiu replied. He replied very humbly, saying that he firmly remembered what he had learned and did not get bored of learning. Teaching people not to know tiredness is not done in any of these areas.

Then many disciples asked questions, and Kong Qiu answered them one by one. Of course, there are many famous sayings that have been passed down through the ages, such as: "Birds and beasts should not be in the same group." And with whom are the disciples of the Uphilis? There is a way in the world", "Reviewing the old and learning the new, you can be a teacher", "The wise are happy with water, and the benevolent are happy with the mountain" and so on.

"I also have questions for the Master." At this time. Wang Tian also stood up and said. His current wisdom has 5W+, and of course he has his own questions to ask. Originally, he just wanted to ask about the topic of art, but since they were chatting so energetically, Wang Tian also became interested and wanted to discuss it with him.

"It's a pleasure to have friends from afar." Kongqiu said. Wang Tian just happened to come in, he didn't know the details of Wang Tian, of course he wouldn't treat him as his own disciple, and he called him his friend.

"I remember that the master once said, 'Only women and villains are difficult to raise.' If you are near, you are not inferior, and if you are far away, you will be resentful', in the words of the master, does it mean to discriminate against women? Wang Tian asked.

Of course, he doesn't drop his book bag when he speaks, so he just speaks plain vernacular. If he wants to drop the book bag, he will too, but if one drops the book bag, the audience is too lazy to study it. Of course, Wang Tian knew that Kong Qiu would not discriminate against women, and this was related to his experience, his father married his mother when he was sixty-six years old, and his mother was only twenty-two years old at the time. It can be said that with such parents, he was definitely closest to his mother when he was a child.

"Definitely." Kong Qiu replied, "With a chapter can be chaste, walking on frost and ice, and Yin is condensed; Tame it...... Straight to square also. If you don't get used to it, there is no disadvantage......"

"I see." Wang Tian said.

Wang Tian understood that the word 'difficult to raise' in his sentence was not a derogatory meaning, but a neutral word. It just speaks of a common characteristic of women, in modern parlance, the word 'tsundere'. The meaning of the phrase "if you are near, you are not inferior, and if you are far away, you are resentful" means that if you are too accommodating and pampered to her, the woman will think that you are not good and do not respect this person very much. And if you deliberately alienate her, she will think that you don't understand the amorous feelings and have resentment towards you......

In general, this is just a characteristic of women. They take warmth too seriously and need to be coaxed by others all the time, so they often lose their temper because of disappointment. And men have different ways of expressing their feelings, they don't like to express them...... If they like a man, and the other party doesn't confess to her, they will be in love repeatedly. And men don't like to express themselves, and women can't get used to that.

And the villain is difficult to raise because he is unpredictable, deceiving the world with tricks, and it is difficult to read according to common sense. If you are a gentleman or an ordinary person, you will naturally not understand, and if you are a fellow believer, you can smell the same.

Just imagine, how terrible it would be if a narrow-minded villain was with a jealous woman? In ancient times, many tragedies in palace fights were caused by such a combination.

Therefore, Wang Tian guessed the reason why he said this, he may have met a woman who had a relationship with him. It was only after suffering from the other party's arrogance that he said such a thing.

So when he said such things, it was not a kind of disgust, but a kind of helplessness in it. In later generations, due to political reasons, there was a period of large-scale criticism of Confucius, and the criticism of his sentence was incomplete, in fact, this was just their misunderstanding.

Kong Qiu replied to Wang Tian's sentence, containing Zhang Kezhen, walking on frost and ice, and Yin began to condense; Tame it...... Straight to square also. If you don't get used to it, there is no disadvantage...... Taken from the Yu Kun hexagram, it also answers this question from the side. The reason why he didn't answer positively was probably because he didn't want to mention his past. Kun, Yin, was originally meant to represent women. Tame and unaccustomed to it, no disadvantage, are all characteristics of women.

Heaven and earth are divided into yin and yang, and all things are divided into male and female, which is the way of heaven.

"The Master once said, 'Believe in learning and keep the good way of death.' There is no one in the dangerous state, and there is no living in the chaotic state. If there is a way in the world, you will see it, and if there is no way, it will be hidden. The state is virtuous, poor and cheap, and shameful; There is no way, rich and noble, and shame'...... You say, 'If there is a way, you will see, and if there is no way, you will hide', since there is a way, what is the point? Isn't it the meaning of escaping if there is no way to hide? Wang Tian then asked. In layman's terms, his two sentences can be icing on the cake, not charcoal in the snow.

If there is a way in the world, you will see, and if there is no way, you will hide, this sentence is also a famous sentence through the ages. It means that those dangerous countries should not enter and do not settle. In countries that are well governed, it is a shame for a person to be poor and of low status. And in a poorly governed country, having money and status is a shameful thing. Therefore, if there is a way, you will see, and if there is no way, you will hide.

But the truth is diametrically opposed to what he said, when he was at the end of his rope, he was trapped between Chen Cai, but the kings of those chaotic small countries wanted to summon him, and he still gladly went. If there is no way, why should you go? If there is no way, it is hidden, is it an escape? So Wang Tian asked him this question.

"Walk in the right way." Kong Qiu listened to Wang Tian's question and answered him in only four words. His answer was very vague, and Wang Tian also knew what he meant in his vagueness.

"Is it the way of the master to go to a small country and die?" Wang Tian asked.

"Yes, that's my way." Kongqiu replied.

Wang Tian knew the reason why he did this, because he was also one of the hundred families. He also needs his own followers, and he needs to preach. But what he preached was beneficial to the people and could not be equated with those gods.

"What is the Tao?" Wang Tian then asked, and he did not pursue the matter further. If you continue to pursue it, I'm afraid the two will have an unpleasant quarrel. And this is his private matter, and it would be impolite to ask about this kind of thing. Since you say that you walk in the way, what is your own way?

In fact, Kong Qiu's sentence 'If there is a way, you will see, and if there is no way, you will hide' is related to the technique, and he only said it occasionally, and later generations did not know the existence of the 'technique', so he just understood this sentence in the aspect of the Tao. This kind of thinking is very one-sided, but it can't be hidden from Wang Tian.

When Wang Tian asked him what the Tao was, he was asking this question. Of course, he asked very vaguely, and it was not okay not to be vague in front of so many disciples. How can the path of cultivation be told in public?

"The Tao is the way, the Tao is very good." Kong Qiu replied, hearing Wang Tian ask this, he stared at Wang Tian curiously, as if he wanted to see where he came from. But after looking at it for a while, he still didn't see where Wang Tian came from. (To be continued......)
