154. Busy field notes

The production cycle of a movie can be long and short. This speed varies from person to person, for example, Wong Kar-wai, a famous director from Hong Kong and Taiwan, his shooting is mainly slow, and it is common for a movie to shoot for three or four years. and Liu Zhenwei, who is also a famous director from Hong Kong and Taiwan, has a much shorter filming cycle, and most of the films he shoots can be released in 7 to 10 months.

In Jiang Digui's previous films, the average production cycle of each movie is about a year, even if it is longer, it can be released within 15 months. The production cycle is not long, but it cannot be said to be very short.

In the production cycle of the film, post-production takes up more than half of the time, and the filming period in which the actors participate takes up about one-third to one-half of the time, while the preparation of the early stage of the establishment of the crew generally only takes up a little time, and most of them only take three to four weeks to start shooting.

But Kang Di-gyu's action this time was too big, so big that after the crew was created, it took nearly two months during the preparation period before the actors moved in to start filming, and even Lee Jun-hyuk, a newcomer who was promoted later, worked for almost a month before seeing the main actors of the film for the first time.

Among the scripts that Lee Jun-hyuk has seen, the movie "Taiji Flag Flying" rarely adopts the mode of two protagonists, and the whole film narrates the stories of the Korean Civil War through the encounters and experiences of the two brothers who were involved in the war.

The role of the elder brother Jin-tae in the film is played by Jang Dong-kun, the only one in South Korea who can compete with Lee Jun-hyuk's eldest brother Lee Byung-hun in terms of prestige and popularity. As another top actor whose style is completely different from Lee Byung-hun, Lee Jun-hyuk is looking forward to Jang Dong-kun's acting skills. Because he felt. This time it can be seen up close. learned the advantages of Zhang Dong's acting skills on fitness.

And the role of the younger brother in the film. It is Yuan Bin, who is inferior in personal prestige, but does not need to be poor in terms of popularity. Although the expectations for Won Bin are not as high as those for Zhang Dongjian, Won Bin's prosperity is free of his reasoning, so Lee Jun Hyuk does not have a trace of contempt, but is also waiting for the opportunity to steal the advantages of his acting skills

In addition, Lee Eun-joo, Kong Hyung-jin, Choi Min-sik, and Kim so-ro. With the addition of Zhang Minhao and other powerful factions, "Taiji Flag Flying" can be described as star-studded, and Lee Jun-hyuk is also full of expectations for the filming of this movie.

However, after really entering the filming period, Lee Jun-hyuk did not get close to these people. It's not that he's embarrassed, it's not that he doesn't want to mix with these actors and make friends, but as a scene reporter, Lee Jun-hyuk is too busy to have time to do anything. Because the actors enter the group, it signals the start of filming. And when filming begins, the time when the scene is really busy.

As a field reporter. In addition to recording the details of each shot shot on the scene, including the lens number, shooting method, lens length, actors' movements and dialogues, sound effects, sets, props, costumes, makeup and other details and data, the scene notes should also act as the director's "entry pen", and the responsibility is to deeply engrave every word the director said in WORD, so as to prevent the director's whim from not being traced.

Just doing all of the above can keep anyone busy from morning to night every day. And that's not all there is to the job of a field reporter. The job responsibilities of the scene reporter dictated that he had to completely obey the crew's shooting cycle, no matter how long the day was, whether it required an all-night stay, or whether a storm was coming, none of this reduced the need for the scene reporter to be on the set.

That is to say, during the filming, when the crew is ready to start filming every morning, the scene reporter should have been there, and when the shooting is completed every night, the scene reporter is the one who leaves the last.

In addition, during the daily break, it is impossible for the scene reporter to rest like other people, and he has to continue to arrange the next day's work, the operation of the crew, the filming time of each actor, etc.

Therefore, after the crew started official filming, Lee Jun-hyuk no longer had the action of the entire crew hanging out, instead, he began to stay by Jiang Digui's side every inch, except for running in front of the camera to play the board, all the rest of the time was standing behind Jiang Digui and recording the director's words anytime and anywhere, responsible for all kinds of miscellaneous things between the actors and various groups within his own responsibilities. And remind Jiang Digui anytime and anywhere.

Every morning, the first thing Lee Jun-hyuk does when he arrives at the crew is to go to the director to get the storyboard, and then copy at least six copies with aviation stationery, and these six storyboards must be handed over to the assistant director, assistant director, photography, lighting, art, and recording. And he himself has to bring the script with him anytime and anywhere, so that the director can take it out and hand it to the other party at any time when he needs it.

Once this was done, the actors were almost in place, ready for the day's shooting. At this time, the work of the field reporter has become the existence of finding faults.

Don't get me wrong, this fault finding in the scene is not really looking for the actors and the crew, but looking for whether they have a scene in each scene and whether they are dressed in a scene.

What is a continuous play, that is, in the play, when the scenes that were not originally filmed together are connected to watch, check whether the actors' clothes and the layout of Beijing can be connected.

A movie, or TV series, although it doesn't seem to feel particularly long, but when shooting, it really takes a lot of effort, just take an ordinary face-to-face conversation between two protagonists, maybe what you see in front of the screen is just a face-to-face conversation between two people for about two minutes, which looks very simple.

But it's such a simple dialogue, you have to shoot it from the front angle of each actor once, and then you have to often use other angles to shoot one or two angles of two people leaving the country at the same time. In other words, it is such a simple one- or two-minute dialogue, and it takes an hour or two to shoot repeatedly at least five times, and if the director is not satisfied with the scene, then this time is longer.

When two or more actors are playing between them, in addition to the role that the camera is mainly shooting, because of the focal length of the lens, the other actors will be blurred during the shooting, so in the process of this kind of shooting, in addition to the main actor, the actor who is playing can also be said to be another form of rest, so although their people appear in front of the camera, they may not be in the role mentally, so in order to make the actors better enter the state, When filming each scene, it is usually concentrated on shooting the main shot of one person first, and when all the main shots of this person are finished, then change it to another person to shoot the main shot, and then the previous one goes to the scene.

After all the scenes are filmed, the whole scene is connected through the form of post-editing production. A scene with a complete itinerary.

In such a situation, the character modeling in the play and the movement of each shot are very easy to cause deviations. And the so-called goofs are produced in this case. It can be said that almost all goofs come out like this.

The importance of the field notes is revealed at such times. Because before the start of filming, the scene notes are not just to go up and make a version, before the start of filming, the scene notes should check the details of the actors' attire in advance to see if there are any loopholes, and at the time of each audition, after each shot, the scene notes must make a detailed record, and the more detailed this record, the more difficult it is to wear and goof.

Therefore, you will often see that after each actor's suit, Lee Jun Hyuk will walk forward with a special notebook, and very carefully check the details of the actor's clothes and makeup, headdress, hairstyle, shoes and socks, clothing color, blood stains, firearms and props, etc., etc., very detailed.

In the same way, during the continuous scene, Lee Jun-hyuk will also run between the assistant director, the art team, and the props team to confirm the placement of various props together, which has reached the level of making the whole scene as seamless as possible. (To be continued......)
