Kisho Taniyama: Looking back, even I feel that "you can really be a voice actor for 20 years because of you", it's not easy......

――In retrospect, were there any particularly important "turning points"?

Kisho Taniyama: I met all kinds of people and went through various coincidences to get to where I am today, but the main reason is that I didn't give up being a voice actor. It's a matter of course, but if I had given up over the years, I wouldn't be where I am now.

――Perseverance, that's why I have the meaning I have now.

Kisho Taniyama: yes, actually, when I was in my 20s, I wanted to quit my voice actor and go back to my hometown. At that time, I really wanted to give up, and I declared to the boss of the office, "I really don't want to do it anymore", and moved out of the apartment where I had lived for more than two years. Kisho Taniyama: "Returning home" seems a bit inappropriate, but good news like "the voice of a character in that anime" and "Budokan holding a LIVE" is still often told to my family. And because my work is easy to be known, they are always very surprised to meet friends I haven't seen in 20 years.
