Chapter 90: Hagrid's First Hall
In the divination class, there was a strange atmosphere, with Augustus's reputation in Slytherin, Professor Trelawney's prediction of Augustus's imminent death was simply infuriating, and most of the students threw their textbooks on the table and looked at Trelawney angrily to see how she could continue to fulfill this prophecy.
"Poor child, in fact, there is always a silver lining in everything, and divination does not completely determine your fate, as long as you study this course well in the coming days, and watch out for the red-haired man, it is not impossible to avoid this terrible omen of death." Professor Trelawney's expression was gloomy, and he looked compassionate and holy, and if he talked about the temperament of a god, he was not much better than the clergy of the previous Holy See.
"In that case, thank you Professor for the point." Augustus really doesn't have any special feelings, even if he is predicted death by others, as a legendary mage who is about to step into the divine realm, the open and secret battles in the previous life, intrigues, as many as cattle hairs, I don't know how many times he has passed by on the edge of death, if he is only frightened by a death prophecy for no reason, the countless enemies in his previous life who are looking forward to his death are estimated to be applauding.
"That's all for today's lesson, unfortunately one of you is leaving you after all, I hope this moment doesn't come too soon." Professor Trelawney's eyes were filled with sadness, and the atmosphere in the classroom was once again at a low point, and it was no exaggeration to say that Augustus was now the spiritual leader of Slytherin, and now that the prophecy of the incident was about to die, most of the students who believed were in a depressed mood and their eyes were full of anger.
The next class was the Transfiguration class, and the Slytherin students set out for the Transfiguration teacher in twos and threes, all the way speechless, and most of the students were mostly silent.
"Mr. Augustus, have you believed this professor's prophecy? There's no need to care about her nonsense, it seems to me that this class is one of the few rubbish classes at Hogwarts, and I really don't want to go back to that disgusting classroom if it weren't for the sake of graduating. Lillian walked beside Augustus and looked at Augustus with concern, her red pupils filled with mixed emotions.
"Yes, in fact, her so-called prophecy is completely unworthy in my opinion, and only a foolish girl like Pansy would believe her nonsense." Malfoy is still haunted by Teacher Trelawney's prophecy to remind Pansy that he is still going to hit Pansy hard.
"Well, there is really no need to care too much about this death prophecy, I have no objection to this at all, this kind of method of predicting the life and death of others based on intimidation is more popular among most prophets, and it is natural to see too much." Augustus waved his hand casually, a smile in his eyes.
Today's Transfiguration class was in a particularly quiet atmosphere, as Professor McGonagall was lecturing them about the Animagee (the magic that allows people to turn into all kinds of animals at will). She transforms into a spotted cat in full view of everyone, with traces of glasses around her eyes.
"Seriously, what's wrong with you all today?" Professor McGonagall said, with a slight pop. She had turned back to her original form and was looking around at the students. "It doesn't matter, but this is the first time that my transformation has not won the applause of the class."
Pansy held up her hand. "Professor, we just had a divination class, we read the tea leaves, and??"
"Ah, of course," Professor McGonagall said, frowning suddenly, "there's no need to go on, Miss Pansy. Tell me, who of you will die this year?"
Everyone looked to Augustus. Augustus nodded helplessly.
"Understood." Professor McGonagall said, her small round eyes fixed on Augustus, "Well, Mr. Augustus, you should know that Sybil Trelawney has prophesied the death of a student every year since he came to this school. Until now. None of them have died. Seeing the signs of death is her favorite way of welcoming new students. What if I'm not someone who never speaks ill of my colleagues??" Professor McGonagall paused, and they saw her nostrils coming from her. She continued, calming down, "Divination is one of the most inaccurate subjects in magic. To tell you the truth, I'm the least patient with divination. There are very few people who can really foresee the future, and Professor Trelawney"
Professor McGonagall didn't say anything else, but it was clear that everyone understood, and the students all smiled knowingly, with understanding on their faces.
When they left the castle after lunch, the rain had stopped yesterday, the sky was clear and light gray, and the grass beneath their feet was soft and damp, and they went to their first lesson in protecting magical creatures.
"Seriously, going to Hagrid's Conservation Magical Creatures class feels even more unreliable than taking divination, and the ghost knows that he will come up with something that is a cute and terrible creature in his eyes, and I don't have any hope for this course just by looking at this alternative book." Lilian's expression was blank, and her face was tasteless.
"Come on, that stupid big guy can make any dangerous creatures, but this book is very interesting, I tried countless ways to prevent it from breaking my other books during the summer vacation, and it took me a long time to subdue it, and if Hagrid doesn't give an explanation, I won't give up." Malfoy muttered maliciously, looking like he was ready to find Hagrid's displeasure.
Hagrid waited for his students by the door of the cabin. He was dressed in a moleskin coat, and the hound's fangs were at his feet, and he seemed to be in a hurry to go. "Come on, hurry up, hurry up!" He shouted, and by this time the students had approached. "There's something good to treat you today! It's about to be a great lesson! Has everyone arrived? Okay, follow me!"
"Everybody come up to this fence!" He exclaimed, "That's right?? Stand where you can see. Now, the first thing you have to do is open the book??"" How do I open it?" Draco Malfoy said in his cold, long voice. "Huh?" Hagrid said.
"How do we open the books?" Malfoy said it again. He took out his, which he had tied with a rope. Others also brought out books; Some, like Harry, also tied up their books; Others put the book in a sturdy bag or hold it in large clips.
"No?? Will no one be able to open this book?" Hagrid said, looking dejected.
Suddenly his eyes turned to the quiet book in Augustus' hand and he didn't do anything, and Hagrid asked eagerly, as if he had discovered a new world, "Mr. Augustus, have you found a way to open the book?" ”
Augustus nodded meaninglessly with a strange smile on his face.
