Chapter 195: Dream Entanglement
The sky of the Forbidden Forest was dark and vast, and above the dark curtain, there were faint stars scattered like pale sapphires adorning the splendid silks.
Augustus looked at Moody who came out of the darkness with a meaningful look in his eyes, and at this time, it happened to appear here, as another hidden identity, which seemed to be a bit too coincidental.
"Damn legs," he said angrily, "should have come quickly...... What happened? Snape seems to say that Crouchβ"
Deliberately mentioning Snape, wanting to explain that he had just heard the news, lame cover-up, Augustus smiled lightly.
Dumbledore glanced at Augustus, a little confused by the meaning of his smile, he turned his head and ordered, "Hagrid, go and call Karkaroff!" β
"I don't know about Barty? Where is Crouch," Dumbledore said to Moody, "but we must find him." β
"I'll look for it." Moody said in a gruff voice, then raised his wand and limped into the forest.
"Professor, if it's okay, I'll go back to the castle first." Augustus said lightly.
Dumbledore smiled, "Well, thank you for tonight." Go back and rest. β
Augustus nodded, turned and walked towards the castle, the slender figure fading into the darkness.
After dinner the next day, the three Augustus went to the north tower for a divination class. Dazzling golden sunlight casts a wide band of light through the high windows of the corridor, and the blue sky outside the window is as bright as if it has just been glazed.
"You met Crouch in the Forbidden Forest yesterday?" Lilian's crimson pupils tinged with surprise.
"And he also sneaked up on Krum? It sounds unbelievable, why would the head of the Ministry of Magic do anything to an underage student. Malfoy's face was full of surprise.
"Importantly, he mentioned the mysterious man, and if you speculate according to Mr. Augustus, he should have been caught by the Dark Lord in their secret stronghold, and kept using the Imperius Curse to force him to tell some useful inside stories that would cause the escaped Crouch to become what he is now." Lilian touched her forehead and reasoned solemnly.
"How is it possible, the Dark Lord was only in a broken soul state when he fought with Mr. Augustus two years ago, where did he get the strength to enter the heavily guarded Ministry of Magic and capture Crouch to your so-called secret stronghold." Draco scoffed and waved his hand meaninglessly.
Lillian looked at Malfoy with a look of idiot, "The reason why the mysterious man is called the Dark Lord is not only because of his strength on a par with Dumbledore, but also because of the countless Death Eaters who support him, which is the reason why he has ruled the dark wizarding world for decades. β
Augustus listened to the argument between the two, recalled Crouch's unusual behavior last night, and sighed slightly, it seems that the days of peace will soon pass. No matter how turbulent the waves lie ahead, let it flood with it.
Walking into the dimly lit classroom, it's so hot that it's breathless. The smell of incense is stronger than usual.
"My dear," Professor Trelawney sat in the winged armchair, scanning them with her surprisingly large eyes, "we're almost done with planetary divination. But today is a great time to study the role of Mars, because it is currently in a very interesting position. Please look this way, I'll turn off the lights......"
With a wave of her wand, all the lights went out. The fire became the only source of light. Professor Trelawney bent down and pulled out a small model of the solar system in a round glass enclosure from under his chair. The model is stunningly beautiful, with the burning sun, the nine planets, and their moons suspended in a glass dome, glittering in their respective positions.
Augustus stared at the rotating solar galaxy, his eyes gradually blurred, the plane, the world, the interstellar, the legendary archmage who had been in power for decades with iron and blood, now it seems like an unreal dream, the political change of the empire, a few old friends of the peak of power, everything seems to be like a mirror, because it can't be seen clearly, so persistent, in fact, now look at it again, the mountain is not a mountain, the water is not water, the only real and eternal existence, only magic.
Professor Trelawney begins to explain the wonderful angle between Mars and Neptune. The rich incense came towards Harry, the breeze from the window caressed his cheeks, and he could hear the thin chirping of an insect behind the curtains, and his eyelids drooped......
Harry was no longer on the owl's back...... He watched as it flew into a chair with its back to him...... There were three black shadows next to the chair...... They're moving......
One is a big snake...... The other two are people...... A balding short man with a pointed nose and teary eyes...... A closed-eyed boy in gold armor with a handsome face.
"You're in luck, Wormtail," a cold, shrill voice came from the chair, "you're very lucky. If it weren't for our friend's intervention in Hogwarts, he would have stood in front of Dumbledore by now, laying out all of our plans. β
"Master!" The bald man on the ground cried out, "Master, I'...... I'm so happy...... I'm so sorry......"
"Nagini," said the cold voice, "you're out of luck. I'm not going to feed you with Wormtail...... But that's okay...... And Harry? Potter ......"
The serpent hissed. Harry saw it spitting letters.
"Now, Wormtail," the grim voice added, "perhaps I should remind you that I can't tolerate you making another mistake......
The young man in the golden armor, as if sensing something, actually turned to the front of Potter, and under the closed eyes, the corners of his mouth outlined a strange arc on his calm face.
"The host...... No...... Please......"
The tip of a wand peeked out from the side of the chair, pointing at the worm's tail.
"Drill the heart and cut the bones!" The cold voice said.
"Harry! Harry! β
Harry opened his eyes. He lay on the floor of the classroom, his hands over his face. The scar was still burning and aching, and it hurt all his tears. The pain is real. The whole class was standing around, and Ron knelt beside him, looking terrified.
Yang Fan pushed away the crowd of onlookers and walked to Potter's side.
Without waiting for Professor Trelawney to speak, Yang Fan pulled Potter up with a serious face, "Let's take him to the infirmary,"
He stepped forward and lowered his voice to Harry, "Potter, I think we need to talk. β
