In the latest interview, Ai Kakuma, who has played roles such as Ryuko Kominato in "Choosing the Infected" and Tiruminus Esther in "The Sword Dance of the Elves", will show us her unknown side.

01. Please tell us about your opportunity to become a voice actor.

A: I fell in love with the Inuyasha anime. Because I fell in love with animation, I became interested in the voice of the character. Then I researched the voice actors, and the number of anime I watched increased.

02. What is Miss Kakuma's animation debut?

A: I was in "Listen to Dad! voiced a character called "Sister". Although there is only one line, when the anime started, the feeling of that heartbeat is still unforgettable.

03. In your previous works, is there any role that left a particularly deep impression on you?

A: There are a lot of characters who meet this criterion, and it's a bit of a headache. If I had to give an example, it would be Ein-chan from "The Void of Silence ~Poems for the Lost Star~". This is the child I met when I first auditioned, and if it weren't for Ian-chan, I wouldn't be where I am today.

04. Among the characters you have dubbed, are there any characters that have parts similar to you?

A: Ian-chan's stubbornness is similar to mine. And Esther's hobby of eating tofu and Nina's natural personality (of course, Nina herself is a very capable child) also have similarities with me. In addition, except for the fact that "WIXOSS is very strong", which is not comparable to me, there are many other aspects that are very similar.

05. In the previous dubbing process, please list a plot that impressed you.

A: There are many of them. I think some of the plots that I like, as well as some of the plots where the dubbing is very hard, are easy to leave a deep impression. Hmm~~ I can't choose this question!

06. If you have any failures or impressive experiences at the dubbing scene, please let us know.

A: When I was doing a live voice with May-san Yukino, I was very frustrated with my cousin. Because the other party is the object of my longing, I don't know what to do at all, so I can only pay attention to her secretly. But then Ms. Yukino found out about her admiration, so she came over and hugged me tightly.

07. Are there any competitors or voice actors that you are targeting?

A: Every time I go to the dubbing scene, I get more and more voice actors. I'm going to pay attention to them and absorb the good things about them that make me feel great.

08. What do you think you would do if you didn't become a voice actor?

A: In my hometown of Fukuoka...... Ah, it should be abroad...... Well...... Let's find something that makes me happy.

09. What is the most painful thing about being a voice actor?

A: I can't make a sound because of a sore throat.

10. Conversely, what is the happiest thing about being a voice actor?

A: I was able to connect with the characters. And because of this, I was able to work with many amazing people. And this work can be loved by many audiences.

11. Do you like to sing? Also, when did you think the song you sang was the most impressive?

A: I'm not very good at performing in public, but I love singing. At the dubbing scene, when I hummed my own song under the gaze of everyone, my face felt like I was about to breathe fire.

12. Do you have any memorable contributions to your radio program?

A: I'm very happy when people send me postcards with characters that I voice. Also, one of the listeners once wrote a little story about his own personal life, and the focus of this story was very interesting, so I liked it too.

13. Did you have anything particularly attached to during the performance?

A: There are a few things that I really pay attention to.

14. What kind of characters are you best at voice acting?

A: I feel like I often say "Huh!?" Such a line of the girl dubbing.

15. Please tell us about your goals and dreams as a voice actor.

A: This one changes a lot. But there is only one mood that has never changed: the dubbing has continued.

16. Please give a word to those who are working hard to make voice actors their goal.

A: I've always felt that it's great to be able to take on various challenges since I started this job.

17. In addition to the works you starred in, are there any other anime that you often watch?

A: "Inuyasha".

18. Are there any characters in the animation you asked above that you really want to play or dream of?

A: I was thinking, "When will the sequel be released, please let me participate as a voice actor!" "But before I came to Tokyo, the "Finale" had already been broadcast, and it hadn't aired in Fukuoka yet. I feel very sorry .......

19. What type of animation do you like when watching animation as a viewer?

A: When I was depressed, I thought, "How?" What a trouble! What the hell is going on!? "If there's a work that makes me happy watching it, then I'll like it.

20. What kind of child were you when you were a child?

A: It's a very easy child to get carried away. My friend's mother once said, "Ai-chan's voice is so loud." "I felt a little ashamed of this, but after that, I slowly became more stable.

A: I often indulge in nightly variety shows. By the time I came back to my senses, almost three hours had passed......

22. Tell us about your favorite book in your life.

A: It's supposed to be "Sand Hours", right? When I came to Tokyo, the book was still in my hometown. As a result, because I wanted to see it anyway, I brought it back when I returned to my hometown.

A: I've been a fan of Infinity Switch music since I was in high school. To this day, they are often sung at karaoke. I often listen to the song "GREATESTHITS", so every time I listen to it, I feel like I'm back in time.

A: I can't decide...... I've always admired other people to have a motto.

A: Swimming. Ping pong.

A: The song of Infinity Switch, the song of Kaera Kimura, and the song of Aya Sakamoto. That's all for a long time. He also sings anime songs.

A: I don't drink much. It's definitely a fruity wine when drunk.

A: I had a lot of things I wanted to do, but the store I wanted to go to was closed just in time for the holidays, and I couldn't do it...... Eventually, I stayed at home and read some books.

35. If you had a week off where you didn't have to do anything at all, what would you do?

A: Overseas travel! I want to go to Europe and see the Northern Lights. I would like to try diving in the beautiful sea!

36. Do you have any interests that you have recently developed?

A: I give my portraits to my friends that I find interesting.

37. Please tell us about the qualifications you have.

A: Ordinary car driver's license, Chinese character identification level 3, abacus and calculator identification level 1. There are also some other certificates, but they are a bit vague in terms of grades. Also I have a kappa (**) capture permit, but it expired.

38. Is there anything you'd like to challenge in the next 10 years?

A: I would like to be proficient in English.

39. What type of opposite sex do you prefer?

A: Daigo in "Sand Timepiece" is my ideal type.

40. What part of the opposite sex do you care about the most?

A: Partial ...... Fingers, right? There may be some parts that are preferred according to the environment.

41. Which item has the highest price among the last purchases?

A: "gelatopique" brand clothes and pajamas. Since it was a one-time set, I even bought a winter coat. When the weather turns cooler, it's nice to be able to wear a parka that feels comfortable. Then I should enjoy it.

42. What do you want most right now?

A: Single-lens reflex camera. I think those who own cameras look trendy and enviable. AND IPAD...... Wear shoes that don't hurt your feet...... Memory...... Communication skills...... Yes! Kao's bath gel. A senior introduced me to use it a long time ago, but I forgot to buy it. And many, many more.

43. If you get to an uninhabited island, you can only take one thing with you. So what would you choose to bring?

A: A home. There are no bugs in the house, I can gather some people I like, and I have props and equipment that are convenient for daily life and when I go out.

44. If someone told you, "You can use 1 million yen as you like", how would you spend that money?

A: Traveling with your parents. One of my dreams is to be able to bring my parents to where they love.

45. If you have any habits every day, please tell us as well.

A: When I wake up in the morning, I drink plenty of water until I feel that my throat is moisturized.
