――I heard that the cover was shot in Nagoya, right?

Nana: Although the locals are skeptical and say, "Where to take pictures? Probably not, at most only Nagoya Castle, right? "However, we still found a lot of unique shooting locations and took a lot of beautiful photos.

――Have you eaten a lot of Nagoya food?

Nana: I'm so happy~ (laughs), I've tasted a little bit of everything. I didn't expect to have a bowl of linguine after eating Nagoya's unique eel rice (laughs). My stomach was uncomfortable, but I ate it all because it was so delicious. The next morning, I had to shoot and I thought I couldn't sleep like this, so I took a walk around the hotel and took a shower for an hour before going to bed (laughs).

――This album is like a big meal.

Nana: It's the 10th album to remember, so I want to challenge a lot of things! Thermal, cute, and electronics...... There's everything! So I asked a lot of creative groups to help me write the song (laughs). Last year, I received a lot of demo songs on the deadline of several times, and I used to have only about 300 songs, but this time I listened to 500 songs.

――At that time, did you think that there was also eel rice and miso pork chops, which were very rich?

Nana: It's like listening to a full Han feast. This time, all the songs included are highly accomplished songs that can feel the enthusiasm of the production group. After listening to it all, I was finally relieved...... (laughs)

――"Ladyspiker" was announced in advance at the Nana Festival, was that the effect you wanted in the first place?

Nana: It was only done by accident that it was done first, but this song is also the theme and title track of this album. This time, the theme is "Nostalgia & Future". Standing at this juncture, I hope to complete an album that is both a masterpiece and a first step into the future. When I look back at the origin of the past, I find that the most deeply rooted in my heart is actually the ballad. It would be fun to incorporate this into my current songs, and it would reflect my characteristics...... So, the soul of the ballad is infused into every song. "Ladyspiker", in particular, has a Showa ballad rock feel.

――It's 8 shots.

Nana: There are rock songs that repeat 16 beats all the time, but I don't want them to be all high-speed punches and random punches, but to hit the target accurately with every punch. I've gained a lot of experience so far, and that's why I'm able to finish a song like this.

――The image also looks like a female star in the Showa period.

Nana: It's like W Asano in a modern urban drama (laughs). The image of a working woman I admired as a child comes to mind. Tie up your hair and lean your body slightly to give off an aura of "don't think I'm a woman and look down on me" (laughs). I also kicked the microphone stand at the Nana Festival. Because CHERRYBOYS told me that "it would be more handsome this way", I tried hard.

――Is the request for "FunFun★People" to be "rustic wind music"?

Nana: The song was already very close to its current state of completion at the demo stage, and the feeling of resoluteness and decisiveness appealed to me. I've sung songs with wind music in the past, but this is the most laid-back, the most atmospheric, and I love it.

――Is it the feeling of being "casual and unscrupulous"?

Nana: The song was written casually, and I immediately liked it when I heard the melody (laughs). I ask the zuò group to improve and make sure to retain this casual feeling. It's so much fun that a little bit of a game feels like it's beautifully blended with the melody.

-- Give full play to the advantages of the game mentality.

Nana: Because it's an album, it shouldn't all be songs that go all out to make zuò, but some loose, less tense songs. It's not very hard to sing either, but it's more relaxed. I hope I can express the feeling of "finally singing in the midst of the noise of a crowd", and start singing happily while twisting my body (laughs).

-- On the other hand, the song "Classical Serenade" has a very rare feeling of despair.

Nana: The music box melody that has been circulating at home while waiting for the return of the owner...... It's a sad feeling. This song is one of the demo songs that I received in March last year, and I like it very much and have always valued it. The song has a lot of tempo variations and requires skill to handle, but the chorus part is straightforward. Although there are many elements incorporated, it can be naturally integrated into the body, with an incredible temperature. My initial feeling was, "It's a horror Grimm fairy tale" (laughs). The lyrics are also written in accordance with this feeling, and there is a slight chill behind the back, and those who get lost in this building may be possessed (laughs). ――Four of the new songs were written by yourself, and one was composed by yourself...... The first is that the song "FATE" is like the ending song of a movie.

Nana: There is a gentle and simple feeling in the melody of the polish, and I want to write a song where you can feel the body temperature. The splendor of the cherry blossoms dancing with sadness blends with the theme of love, which rarely appears in my songs. I've sung a lot of songs about unrequited love and broken love in the past, but this time I'm singing the story of a lovelorn person reunited.

――Where did the inspiration come from?

Nana: The melody is associated with cherry blossoms. Recently, the cherry blossoms have bloomed early, and sometimes they bloom at graduation ceremonies, but they still give the impression of a school opening ceremony. From here, I think of the story of two people who broke up and met again. When you are young, you don't think about this kind of plot, but when you mature, you understand. After separation, I know that cherishing is not only love, but also family affection. It's a theme that can only be sung by my current self, so I wrote it.

――One of the lyrics says, "I never knew that I could be so happy when I missed someone," so do you know now?

Nana: Ahaha (laughs), when I was a child, I was always swayed by the feelings of "liking someone", and I was always worried about "why didn't he pay attention to me". But when I grew up, I found that "I was already very happy to meet someone who could make my head hot...... I wanted to write about that feeling in the lyrics.

――Is it written smoothly?

Nana: It's very smooth, and it seems like all the lyrics are pouring out all at once. As I sang, I naturally filled in the lyrics very smoothly.

――《Rockyoubaby！ There is also a colloquialism, but the lyrics negate the original proverb (laughs).

Nana: I wanted to write a positive and forward-looking song, but it was too boring to write in ordinary language. If you write in a more personal way, it will have a more impactful impact when it reaches people's ears, so I want to be innovative. Then the phrase "blessed don't be busy" suddenly came to mind (laughs). The 5-character proverb was just right in the lyrics, so I wrote it in this style.

- "You can't have both fish and bear's paws, why?" Is this lyric your experience as a voice actor?

Nana: I guess it's my own experience. Voice actors and singers have to focus on one thing, or neither side will succeed", and many people said this to me at first, but I liked both of them. Looking back now, I'm glad I set both goals and stuck to them. I would like to say to those who are chasing their dreams: "You have to try to do it to know the result." ”

-- Just like Otani of the Japanese Ham Fighters, he can be both a pitcher and a batsman, right?

Nana: I think that's pretty awesome (laughs). In short, "don't assume that this is the only way to do it". This album is the same, it's not "what you have to do", it's really free, it's very happy. You need to have a sense of tension, but you can't limit "it has to be this way", so keep a relaxed mind. Because of this, something special can be made.

――By the way, I don't think I would be so leisurely today in terms of the time it takes to make zuò (laughs)?

Nana: This week is the most critical week! I'm going to record 3 songs. One is a quick song similar to the evolution of "POWERGATE" that I have collaborated with Yabuki (Toshiro) for the first time in many years, a very cool song written by Uematsu (Fan Kang), and a heavy metal song that I am scheduled to write by myself (laughs).

- Heavy metal?! Do you like this genre?

Nana: This ...... Actually, I haven't heard much of it (laughs). Mishima said to me in a relaxed tone, "Hard rock or heavy metal, Nana, please." "I was really blown away (laughs). I borrowed a few CDs of foreign heavy metal songs from the staff, studied them carefully, and found that the melody was straight and somewhat similar to the ballad song.

-- That's often said.

Nana: So, I think I'm going to be able to write heavy metal songs with the blood of songs...... But is it really so smooth (laughs)? I'm in a tough battle right now, and it's completely different from what I've done before.

――Did you write while shaking your head?

Nana: Ahaha (laughs). When I write lyrics, I usually eat foods that don't burden my body, such as leaves or fruits, as if I was practicing (laughs), but when I write passionate songs, it's hard to be inspired by this kind of diet. I want to eat bloody meat (laughs)! I hope to awaken my wild nature. By the time this book was published, I would have written a really good song (laughs)!

――It would be bad if I didn't write it.

Nana: My dark circles are getting heavier and heavier to write this song, and I keep praying, "Please give me inspiration" (laughs).

Nana: I vividly remember singing "Night Sakura Seven" at the "Night Sakura Festival" in Nakano Park when I was in my third year of high school. On a small stage lit up by lanterns, I walked on the stage with the students of the vocal teacher and sang under the flying night cherry blossoms, and the dreamy atmosphere was so beautiful.

Dreams of light sleep

Nana: If you sleep too deeply, you won't dream, and the dreams that I can remember are usually very scary. For example, if you dream that you can fly, and when you fly to a high place, your ability suddenly disappears, and you fall off as a result (laughs). The happiest thing is to dream that I am going to have peach blossom luck, and although I woke up, I dreamed about the follow-up (laughs).

Nana: I like my puppy very much (laughs). Every night when I came home, it would welcome me with its tail wagging, it was so cute. Nana: I really want to make a remake (laughs). I didn't pay attention to my diet for three years in high school, I ate a lot of junk food, and all the nutrients in my growth period became fat, and I was very fat. The eyebrows are very thick, which is terrible (laughs). Every time I see photos of the past exposed on a TV show, I think to myself that if I am exposed, I will definitely be depressed.

Nana: When I revisited the Nana Festival with Misato (Fukuen), I talked about the 777th episode of the radio program "SmileGang", which always talked about dreams, "I finally talked about reality." It would be nice if everyone got married and had children when I recorded the 1000th issue, but what if I was still single at that time (laughs)?

Wear lipstick

Nana: I only wear lipstick when I'm taking pictures. I'm often told "how can you be like this as a woman", but I really don't like the feeling of sticky lips. Occasionally, I buy lipsticks in limited colors, but when I buy them, it's just for decoration (laughs). As women get older, their lips don't have blood, so I want to keep my body healthy even without lipstick (laughs).
