No one succeeds casually. Before I wrote The Imposter, I knew almost nothing about the creation of the Internet, so it made perfect sense that it would have hit the streets.

From the very beginning, the positioning of this book is to practice writing, and I want to understand and learn some knowledge about creation through it. In the process of writing, I also consciously make some new attempts, although it is an urban book, but the elements it contains are relatively complex.

The element of "crossing" alone, whether it is flesh wearing, soul wearing, passing through the past, passing through the future, or wearing it positively, backwards, wearing it in another world, wearing it multiple times, etc., almost all forms of crossing have been written. These are all deliberately arranged, different elements. It represents different plot modes and will be written in different ways.

It is precisely because of the complexity of the elements. Ling becomes impure, and the twists and turns of the plot are relatively large, going around and around, and the damage to the sense of substitution is more serious.

In fact, the early results of "Imposter Traverser" are passable, if Tang Xiaosheng is kept in the city to pick up girls, step on people, act, make money, and pretend to be coerced, the results of this book will be at least three or four times better than now.

Eventually, though, I decided to try something out based on my own ideas. As a writer. There are some things that are difficult to truly appreciate without trying them yourself. Even if it is a wrong attempt, it is only after trying it that you will have a deeper understanding.

Judging from the structure of the whole article, when you enter the plot of the little girl, you can be regarded as starting the main plot.

Because when writing the little girl, it is only the starting point of the whole "logical" plot, everything has just begun, and the concept of logic will be interpreted with millions of words of plot later, and the fluctuations and turns of the plot are bigger and bigger each time, and it may be foreseen that the subscription will inevitably continue.

So, I really thought about it at that time. When it was written that Tang Xiaosheng and the beauties were hidden in the top of the light, they originally wanted to end it. If it ends at that node, the structure is also very complete.

Eventually, though, there was one thing that made me decide to keep writing, and that was the concept of "logic" because it was a great structure for telling a love story.

Tang Xiaosheng created the little girl, and the little girl in turn created Tang Xiaosheng, they created each other, fell in love with each other, and the whole world existed because of their love, which is a story worth sharing. After some consideration, it was decided to write it out.

At that time, I decided to continue with it, mainly as an exploratory mentality, a desire to explore the unknown territory of writing. When a book is written to the end of the mountain, when there seems to be nothing to write about, it is actually the most suitable for pen practice, and it is also the most interesting state of writing.

Under such writing conditions, as long as you write hard, every time you write an additional plot, you are challenging and testing your own limits. This kind of attempt is very meaningful, because only by trying to make some breakthroughs can you be more likely to enter new territory rather than standing still.

Take a road that you haven't walked, take a road that seems to have no road, and it's easy to find new things. Of course, another possibility to do this is that it will be pounced, and the possibility of hitting the street is very high.

In fact, the better the score, the less daring the writer is to make such a risky attempt, because the cost is too great. A writer with an average order of 30,000 yuan, if the average order drops to 5,000 because of a new attempt, it is estimated that he even has the heart to jump off the building.

And a street writer like me. The subscription is only 5o in total, no matter what. At most, it will fall to O, which is a total of 5O, and the pressure is obviously much less.

Therefore, there is an advantage to hitting the street.

Only when you hit the street can you have more courage and opportunity to make new attempts.

With this mentality, I pulled out the plot of Earth 13 to see what else I could write. What else can you write when you don't know what to write anymore? This in itself is a very interesting question.

This way of forcing yourself to rack your brains to write. It's quite brain-draining. When writing about Earth 13, I used several times more brain power than all the previous plots. Especially when writing about several serial scams between Lao Hei, Mickey Mouse and Tang Xiaosheng, it was necessary to bury a lot of foreshadowing, and as a result, after finally laying the ambush, it happened to be a harmonious period, and there were some originally planned plots that could not be written. It must be discarded, more than half of the original layout or foreshadowing can no longer be used, and the structure of the scam must be completely rebuilt to find the foreshadowing. Many of the foreshadowings of the plot during that period were not buried in advance, but I forced them to come forward later. At that time, I was forced to almost vomit blood.

Although this experience has suffered a lot of brain cell loss, it is still very worthwhile overall, and it will make people experience again and again what it means to "have no way out of doubt, and the willows and flowers are bright and another village". Many of the dead ends are not really without a road, they are just that there is no one to take them.

Something new. Sometimes you have to fight yourself.

From a creative point of view, this is a very helpful way for writers to improve their creative thinking. It's not just about conceiving a story, it's about exploring the story itself through the story.

If the results of "Impostor Traverser" were a little better, and the manuscript fee could reach half of the salary of an ordinary bricklayer, it would not be over so quickly, because the setting of this book itself is very suitable for exploring the plot mode, and insisting on groping for 10 million words will definitely have a lot of new gains.

The low cost of writing is one thing, and on the other hand, the writer is prone to losing sensitivity to the plot.

When the subscription hovers between 4o and 5o all the time, and then continues to hover for a year, it is easy for writers to become numb. Because no matter how the plot is written and how much time is spent on conceiving, the number of subscriptions fluctuates in the range of 4o to 5o, and the writer can't tell whether the plot is good or bad. If this situation continues for too long, the writer will not only fail to achieve the goal of practicing the pen, but also easily fall into the misunderstanding.

This is the case of "Imposter Traverser", for a long time, the 24-hour subscription is hovering between 4o and 5o, the results are quite stable, and 9o% of subscriptions are automatic subscriptions. At one point, I suspected that these auto-subscribed book lovers most likely forgot to cancel their subscriptions.

The decision to finish the book was made three months ago, but when the ending was written today, it was still very unaccustomed. To put it mildly, it is a little reluctant.

Although the results were not satisfactory, I spent a lot of time and energy on this book. From December 1o, 2o12 to today, for 628 days, an average of more than 1o hours a day was spent on this book.

While eating, before going to bed, when going out, while walking, while shopping, while riding in the car, while taking a bath...... As long as I have free time, I almost always think about the plot and characters, and even go to the bathroom to think about the plot. In fact, a lot of the inspiration in "Imposter Traverser" came up in the bathroom.

For normal people, even if they are lovers, I am afraid they will not think about their lover every day, day and night, even the bathroom, and then think about it for two years in a row, and the holidays are endless. If such a person really exists in real life, he is definitely not a lover saint, but a pervert with mental illness.

Unfortunately, writers are basically perverted in this way, spending more time on their characters than their lovers. The characters in "Imposter Traverser" have been in my head for two years, and now it's suddenly over. Some don't fit in.

Especially when I thought that I couldn't write the plot of Xiao Huang Rong selling cuteness in the future, my thoughts suddenly became very incomprehensible.

I was going to drag out Imposter for another month or two. While writing old books, I also conceive new ones. But in fact, when it comes to operation, it is really not a human thing to do, and when switching back and forth between the plots of the two books, there will be a sense of schizophrenia, and the thinking is easily confused. What's more, when it was conceived, it could not be integrated into the plot of the new book. It's hard to get into the play.

If you don't get out of "Imposter Traverser" first, it will be difficult to enter the world of new books. So, I finally decided to finish the book this month.

I've been thinking about new books since the end of last year, and I now have a total of three themes in my hands. All three themes I really want to write about, and it's a bit difficult to choose.

After much consideration, I finally chose to write about a theme that I would continue to write even if I hit the streets.

This idea of choosing a subject is quite shocking. But rationally speaking, it should be a more sensible choice.

Writing the Internet is a very cruel profession, the market is always changing, the tastes of readers are always changing, and once the writer can't keep up with the pace, he will be eliminated. And if you step too fast, you also risk hitting the street. Therefore, even a well-known writer cannot guarantee that his next book will not hit the streets, let alone be a street writer.

Writers can only prepare to the best. Then prepare for the worst.

In the two years I've been writing "The Imposter Traverser", I've read some articles about creation. There are about 3ooo articles, and I finally have a preliminary understanding of creation. On the surface, it seems simple, just a story, but the knowledge inside is really broad and profound, and there is so much to learn, research and explore.

If I could, I would probably prefer to dive into research for five or ten years before I started creating. But this is obviously unrealistic, people always have to eat, and they can only study and research while coding words, and earn some living expenses by the way. The process of creation is itself a process of exploration.

Therefore, the subject matter I have chosen for my new book is an exploratory theme, and in short, it is still a practice of writing. In the past two years, I have some new opinions, and in my new book, I will try to express them through stories. If the new book ends up hitting the street again, at least it has made a meaningful attempt, and I will not feel sorry.

The theme of the new book is urban, and as for the specific content, I won't talk about it here, because it's useless to say it. The outline of the new book has been written in tens of thousands of words, and the framework has come out, but I am not alone in this thing, and I still need to ask the editor to review it and ask for his opinion before the new book list.

The editor is much more professional than me, and he may give suggestions for changes, and at that time, he will probably have to change some ideas, so what I am previewing is a little too early. Only after communicating with the editor can it be truly qualitative.

Later, I changed editors, continued to submit, and finally passed after three more submissions. The entire submission process lasted seven months and thirteen days, tossed for more than half a year, and a total of 18 were written at the beginning, and the manuscript was scrapped for more than 8o million words.
