Chapter 169: Pre-Match Testing
"The antidote, I hope you're ready," Snape's dark gaze looked at the group, "I hope you can make the perfect potion, naturally, and then we'll pick someone to try it." β
Harry smiled self-deprecatingly, from the moment Snape made this request, he knew that nine times out of ten, it should be him, no matter what, it was just a bottle of **, even if the antidote he brewed did not succeed in resisting, what could it be?
Snape's gaze met Harry's in the air, and Harry's eyes revealed an inexplicable stubbornness.
There was a knock on the basement door.
Standing in the doorway was a short boy. He slumped sideways into the classroom, then walked toward Snape's lectern at the front of the room.
"What's the matter?" Snape asked impatiently.
"Sir, I'm here to take the Hogwarts warriors to the cubicle on the second floor. Pre-race checks. The boy whispered politely.
Snape glanced at Augustus, who was sitting quietly in his seat and mixing potions, and a rare smile appeared on his face, "Augustus, you go up with this kid." β
Augustus nodded, stopped, glanced at the antidote that was almost forming, clapped his hands, packed up his things and walked out.
The boy followed Augustus and, seeing that he was done, whispered a thank you to Snape. Then he turned and walked towards Augustus, with a hint of excitement on his childish face.
"Mr. Augustus, can I go now?" The boy looked at Augustus with a polite look mixed with a hint of respect.
"You seem to have forgotten Harry?" Augustus pointed to Potter at his desk in surprise.
The boy's face flushed, he touched the back of his head in embarrassment, and said uneasily, "I'm sorry, Professor Snape, and Mr. Potter, I don't remember." β
Harry was willing to hand over all his odds and get out of this place, warrior, what a brilliant word, now, just a forgotten impostor.
Snape waved his hand impatiently, "Good, good, Potter, leave your stuff here, I want you to come back later, and test your antidote." β
"I'm sorry, sirβhe must take his things with him," the boy said nervously at the top of his voice, "all the warriorsβ"
"Good!" Snape said, "Potter - take your bag, disappear from my eyes!" β
The three Augustians left the classroom.
"Mr. Augustus, I'm your big supporter, and you're going to win this competition, aren't you?" The boy asked timidly as he walked.
Augustus smiled slightly and said gently, "It's not easy to get the Triwizard trophy, but I think we'll all do our best." By the way, what's your name? β
The boy replied with some excitement, "Sam, Livans." β
Augustus nodded, Harry remained silent, and soon, the three of them reached their destination.
"Good luck." Semu gestured to the two of them excitedly, and Augustus and Harry entered the room.
It's a smaller classroom, and most of the desks have been pushed to the back of the classroom, leaving a large open space in the middle. But there were three desks facing each other, in front of the blackboard, covered with a long piece of velvet. Behind the velvet-covered desk, there were five chairs, one of which sat Ludo Bagman, who was talking to a witch who wore a magenta robe.
Victor Krum stood in a corner with a gloomy face as usual, not speaking to anyone. Fleur was intently studying the flowers in front of her, and a pot-bellied man was holding a large, slightly smoking black camera in his hand, staring at Fleur out of the corner of his eye.
Bagman spotted the two Augustus walking in, stood up happily, and waved to them, "Ah, here you are, the two remaining warriors. Come on in...... There's nothing to worry about, it's just the wand detection ceremony, and the other referees will be there soon-"
"Detection wand?" Augustus' eyebrows furrowed slightly.
"Well, yes, we have to check that your wand is in good condition, after all, the tool that runs through the whole game is the wand in your hand, and if something goes wrong, the consequences are unimaginable." With a lovely smile on his face, Bagman gestured to the witch next to him, "By the way, this is a reporter from the Daily Prophet, Rita Skeeter. She came to do a match interview for the Triwizard Tournament. β
Rita's eyes were on Augustus, and after listening to Bagman's introduction to her, a warm smile appeared on her face, "Are you Mr. Augustus?" Sure enough, like my father, I am a talent, this time I came to do the whole process of the triwizard competition, and your father also has your father's instructions, after all, he is the largest shareholder of the Prophet Daily. Of course, personal interviews still require your wishes, and we will do our best not to disturb the life of the Warriors. β
Augustus smiled strangely, wasn't his father still traveling the world? Hell there's still time to instruct a reporter to come to Hogwarts to do a follow-up interview.
Rita turned her gaze to Harry, who was standing silent, as if she had discovered a new land, "Ah, before we begin, can I have a few words with Harry?" She asked Bagman, but her eyes were still firmly fixed on Harry, "You know the youngest warrior...... To add a little color to the article. β
Harry was quickly taken to the nearby broomstick, and Augustus nodded slightly, hoping that the Warrior's personal interview would add some prestige to Potter and change his current situation.
"Mr. Augustus, the game is approaching, I wonder how you are ready? There are actually a lot of your supporters in our school now, and for this, Mr. Karkaroff doesn't know how many tantrums, and I am caught in the middle, and I am simply not human inside and out. Krum pretended to be sad, but the smile in the corner of his eye betrayed him.
Augustus chuckled, "Each other, each other." There are definitely a lot of fans of you at our school, I heard that Ron of the Weasleys has been trying to give up the bed in the dormitory, and he sleeps on the marching bed himself, too much, too much. β
Krum looked confused, "Weasley? I'm really not impressed. But if there was an opportunity for you to come on our ship, I'm sure at least a quarter of the students would not hesitate to sacrifice themselves to live in the Forbidden Forest. β
