The light novel "はてな☆イリュージョン" was written by Tomohiro Matsu, the author of "Listen to Dad" and "Lost Cat". Volume 1 was published in November 2014. Kentaro Yabuki had drawn the manga version of "Lost Cats" before, so this is their second collaboration.
