In the story, a sniper case occurs on the 635-meter-tall Suzuki Tower, the tallest tower in Japan, and as a starting point, Conan cooperates with the police and the FBI, agreeing to confront a mysterious sniper who wants to cause panic in Tokyo. Q: In this theatrical version, there are many attempts that have not been made before, such as the fact that the prisoner is also the first time to have the identity of a sniper.

Aoyama: That's right. Didn't there be a lot of explosion scenes in the previous theatrical version? But the sniper genre is also something we've always wanted to try, so this time we let him play. The so-called sniper means that the enemy can see your every move, but you can't catch the clues of the opponent. This sense of fear and excitement is what we want to express this time. However, Conan has prisoner tracking glasses, so in a sense, he may be a sniper type (laughs). Although the work is a movie aimed at children, some of the heavy content in the play is actually very suitable for adults to watch.

Q: Both Sera and Okiya were important characters in the original work, and they also appeared in the theatrical version for the first time, right?

Aoyama: It is also the first time that we can give so many "benefits" to the audience. Although it doesn't make people feel like "if you don't watch the theatrical version, you can't figure out how the original work develops", some clues that never appeared in the original work will also be put on the big screen, and some of the foreshadowing in the original work has also been revealed in the theatrical version.

Q: How much did you participate in the theatrical version this time?

Aoyama: I've been hooked up to the theatrical version since the first part, and of course that's why I want to give fans of the original work more joy. I can be like Kazuhiko Kato (the author of "Lupin III") and think that "I am happy enough just to see the finished product", but it is also very fun to be able to participate in the theatrical production. Of course, it also makes me very busy, which is a bit harder.

Q: The theatrical version is now being released at a rate of one per year, so what kind of existence does "Theatrical Conan" seem to you, Mr. Aoyama?

Aoyama: If Kidd the Monster Thief appears in the theatrical version, then the original work will also publish a plot about him at the same time, so that the original work can interact with the theatrical version and achieve a better lively effect...... Yes, it's like a biological clock! It's like an Olympian adjusting my technique and physical condition in order to prepare for the Olympics, so that the original work can be synchronized with the theatrical version at all times. Of course, this is the first time that the original and theatrical versions have the same theme.

Q: What do you think of the guest voice actor Xiàn this time? For example, Mr. Fukushi Sotai (Kevin Yoshino) and Mr. Patrick Harlan (Jack Waltz).

Aoyama: Mr. Fukushi was taking on the role of voice actor for the first time, but I was amazed by how good his acting skills were in the theatrical version. As for Patrick Harlan's acting skills, they are so good that I don't need to evaluate them.

Q: After you attended the preview before, were there any scenes that stood out to you?

Aoyama: Part of the scene that happened at the Suzuki Tower. If you go to the cinema and watch the theatrical version, then there is no doubt that there will be a feeling of trepidation.

Q: The original work has been serialized for 20 years, and the theatrical version has also released the 18th work. How did you get the idea for your work?

Aoyama: I watch movies and TV dramas, and then I do research. Recently, I've been obsessed with a TV series called "Greetings from the Fujia Police Department". The music in the work is very powerful and lovely. The most recent movies I watched are "The Lone Ranger" and "Hurricane Rescue" and so on. In terms of movies, I basically watch works with reasoning colors, and if I find a good line, I will rewind it and write it down in my notebook. In addition, I am also very interested in the works released by other colleagues of the Izuku Publishing Company.

Q: In a good work, the characters on the stage cannot be distinguished by simply "good guys" or "bad guys". They have their own backgrounds, and these charismatic characters also add to the worldview of the work. Do you have any tips on how to create a character?

Aoyama: I thought a lot about the hidden settings of the characters. A character who appears occasionally may have a fixed impression before, but perhaps the character "actually has such a side". There are some characters who I think about a lot of hidden settings in them, but they are dead in the plot. But it's also fun to think about it. I also made a lot of settings for the female high school detective Sera-chan, and secretly added the setting in a scene in the theater version this time to make the plot more interesting. Q: Not only did Conan have invited famous actors and actresses to participate in the theatrical version, such as Miss Shibasaki, who also had the dual experience of guest voice actor and singing the theme song of the theatrical version, and the collaboration between Conan and Lupin the Third was also very interesting. Will there be similar collaborations in the future?

Aoyama: I've been looking forward to working with Lupin III, so once I achieved this goal, I was in a state of "dream come true." To be honest, I really didn't expect this collaboration to happen.
