Interview with the main creator of "Lips of Glass".

P.A.Works, a well-known Japanese animation company, previously announced the launch of the original animation "GlassLip" in July 2014. Among them, the original work is カゼミチ, and the director is Junji Nishimura. In addition, the voice actor lineup such as Shiya Fukagawa, Ryota Amisaka, Saori Hayami, Nobunaga Shimazaki, and Risa Taneda has also attracted attention. At present, the animation has ended, and recently, the Japanese media interviewed the main creator of this work - Fukagawa Seriya (Fukamizu Toko), Shimazaki Nobunaga (Imi Yukiya), Osaka Ryota (Okikura Drive), Yamashita Daiki (Shirasaki Yuke) and others, from their mouths to understand the charm of the work.

■Shimazaki Nobunaga and Fukagawa Serya Chapter - Everyone's ideas shine brightly in the face of the future

Q: This work is a love-themed animation created by the "カゼミチ" team. And in the work, Yukiya confessed to Toko. So what does Yukiya like about Toko?

Shimazaki: Torako is a very upright and pure person. And in a good sense, she's a character that's hard for us to grasp. She doesn't lie, and she doesn't know how to be flexible. But this kind of straightforwardness is what attracts Yukiya.

Fukagawa: Actually, Yukiya also said, "I like your nervous (praise) place" (laughs). And Toko is a very frank person who immediately says anything when he thinks of it. But because of this, this confession can shake her heart.

Shimazaki: Yukiya must have found a sparkle in Torako that she didn't have, so she must have had a longing. After all, he himself is a person who likes to think in circles. However, both of them are not very reliable types, but at the same time they are working towards their dreams, so they should have a deep resonance with each other.

Q: At the same time, Ryu knew about Yukiya's confession to Toko, but she still decided to pass on her heart to him.

Shimazaki: When I was confessed by Ryu on the bridge, I couldn't accept her confession because Yukiya had a thousand thoughts in her heart. He was already very worried about the matter of Touzi, and he fanned the flames...... (laughs).

Fukagawa: He did his best for Toko, so he didn't notice Yanagi at all (laughs). And Liu also knew that she would be rejected, but she still confessed, and she could still say: "Same as before, give me a lot of advice", which makes me feel that she is a clean and handsome child.

Shimazaki: I was surprised that Ryu was a strong girl in the true sense of the word.

Fukagawa: Under normal circumstances, girls should have mixed feelings when facing this kind of problem. But Ryu made it very clear: "Toko is an important friend." And it is precisely because of that cleanliness that these characters can become friends and become a collective.

Shimazaki: But it may have been that she said "I'm going to confess if I can't figure it out" in order to contain Toruko. And it was because of this bravery that she had the courage to regret and reflect, which is what I like very much. So in a good sense, her human touch is appreciated.

Q: After the confession, Ryu said to Toko's sister Yona, "I want to be a new version of myself."

Shimazaki: For Yukiya, I think that because Ryu was too close to him, there were some things about her that the other party didn't pay attention to. He took it for granted that Ryu was by his side, and he didn't know how to help her.

Fukagawa: The relationship between the two is really good. It's like an email that only both parties can understand.、It's too enviable.。

Shimazaki: They share more things than anyone else. Yukiya realizes that "I'll relax when I talk to you" and wishes that she could keep an eye on the "new Willow".

Q: On the other hand, there has been a change in Toko.

Fukagawa: That's right. Although Toko is an innocent and cheerful girl, due to the appearance of this mysterious character and the ability to see the "missing film of the future", she knows a lot of things and hopes to understand these mysteries. At first, she tossed the people around her around, and belonged to a more self-centered role. But now it's time to take action with everyone's attention.

Shimazaki: I've grown up.

Fukagawa: But after all, I'm a junior in high school, so I'm a late bloomer. After realizing Toko's growth, I also adjusted my acting skills when I was performing. From the very high tone of the beginning, it has changed to a slow and quiet style. Sometimes I get people to say, "Torako has become a character that people should have fun with" (laughs).

Shimazaki: It's just something you want to say (laughs). But no matter what, Toko's influence is very great. Through Guò Toko's actions, the people around him will also move.

Q: How will the relationship between the six people change in the future?

Fukagawa: There are three men and women, so it's a perfect even number, so I want everyone to be happy. Also, I hope Torako can become a wonderful woman.

Shimazaki: That's your own goal, isn't it?

Fukagawa: I also have some of my own thoughts (laughs).

Shimazaki: It's just that there is a surprising development in 12 episodes, and it's rare for a final story to unfold in a previous work that I've starred in. It's unpredictable. (laughs)

Fukagawa: Really! All the voice actors were taken aback (laughs). There is a lot of foreshadowing in the work, and there are many interesting references to well-known novels in the story, so when I see the ending, I hope you can read it again from the beginning, and I will be very happy if everyone can actively discuss the work together.

■Shimazaki Nobunaga, Ryota Amisaka, Daiki Yamashita - not only Yukiya! Everyone is miserable and pitiful?

Q: Please tell us about your impressions of each of the roles?

Hirosaka: At first glance, Hari is basically a boy who doesn't talk much, and he puts all his emotions into talking to himself...... But that's not the case. It's not very easy to figure out what purpose you are saying this line. It was the first time for me to play such a cold role, so I felt a lot of pressure when I actually played it.

Shimazaki: I understand, I understand. Every time I watch you perform, I think, "It's hard, isn't it?" "After all, we couldn't figure out what was going on in our hearts.

Hirosaka: He always says things that are hard to understand, and surprisingly, sometimes he talks about things. Especially after the relationship with Toko became friendly, he became more and more able to talk about it. …… Of course, it's just to face Toko (laughs).

Shimazaki: In contrast, Yukiya is the exact opposite. He seems very ordinary, sometimes useless, sometimes not very frank, in short, a very easy boy to see. There are a lot of overlaps with him in me, and I'm also a person who is very easy to guess my thoughts, so when I play Yukiya, I have a lot of fun every time. It's just that I think it's not just Yukiya, each character has its own human touch, and the relationship between everyone is also mixed with all kinds of feelings. Yukiya looks a little reckless, but it's also shy and cute. In a good sense, he exudes a strong human touch. Therefore, when I acted, I also hoped to be able to show the charm of humanity in him.

Yamashita: As for Yu-kun, I'm afraid he's a purer boy than anyone else. Although he is in his third year of high school, he still looks like a junior high school student and has a lot of feelings. Although I sometimes want to suppress my feelings, my joy, anger and sorrow will be clearly exposed on my face. That's why I performed with the mentality of "this is a cute boy". In terms of height, he's also the shortest among the boys, which is more like me (laughs).

Hirosaka: Yu's actions are similar to those of the voice actor himself. Sometimes it shows his natural side. Even before this photo interview. When we were putting on makeup, he dropped something, so he looked down and picked it up, and when he looked up, he bumped into something (laughs).

Shimazaki: At that time, he shouted "wow", and that voice was a realistic version of Yu.

Yamashita: That's why I think it's easy to play this role. I can just express what I feel, so I'm happy (laughs).

Q: Regarding the character of Yoo, the female voice actors of this work have commented before, "This kid can't help but want to cheer for him." As for Yukiya, everyone's evaluation is "pitiful". (laughs)

Shimazaki: Yes, it's so pitiful~ During the performance, I felt bitter in my heart with him, and my chest tingled. Yukiya's character only enjoys peace at the beginning of the work!

Yamashita: It's true that it was only at the beginning that he smiled at us.

Shimazaki: After that, I was always in pain and trouble.

Hirosaka: If you want to see Yukiya smiling, then please pay attention to the theme song (laughs).

Yamashita: In the course of the story, there is a plot that seems to contrast the love concepts of Yukiya and Yu, and this contrast is very strong. Yu with a peaceful and gentle mind, and Yukiya with pain in his heart...... This distinction is very obvious.

Shimazaki: But when the work is almost finished, doesn't Yu also become painful?

Yamashita: Don't say it~ I hate it!!

Shimazaki: Something is sure to happen between groups like this. Luckily, they may just say "I'm sorry, I'm just a friend."

Yamashita: With him? Go with him to see the fireworks!? I feel like I've become pitiful!!

Hirosaka: But Yu cheered up!

Shimazaki: What else do you say, "Don't give up!" ”

Yamashita: ...... I'll try!!

Q: And many people said that he was "very handsome" when they talked about You.

Osaka: Oops, I have a question, is this guy really handsome?

Shimazaki: Your face is very handsome! But it's still an unexpected adolescence in my heart.

Hirosaka: Basically, he's not very interesting. I'm afraid he didn't have any friends at all before the work began.

Yamashita: I also sang a lot of solo verses in the theme song (laughs).

Osaka: He can hear voices similar to those of the future. I think that's why I can't get along well with other children. After all, he once said to Toko, "I might be looking for you."

Shimazaki: I feel like this is a fantasy adventure that belongs to him. In fact, lines such as "looking for you" can also reflect this mood.

Hirosaka: What he said was very vague. Because I don't know what love is, I don't know what it means to "like girls". Therefore, this casual sentence sounded like a confession, which is why he made him look like a "sinful fellow".

Yamashita: But I think he's still very handsome. Because there is too much contrast between me and the drive.

Hiraka: But I'm getting more and more pitiful. Because I was hated by everyone (laughs).

Shimazaki: Hey, don't you have Toko-chan yet?

Yamashita: That's right! I keep saying "Thoko, Thoko"!

Shimazaki: You have to be liked by the girl you like, right? But my character didn't get noticed by the girls I liked! I didn't like it the most!

Yamashita: So, isn't Yanagi also pitiful?

Shimazaki: Eventually, it became a story that everyone felt sorry for (laughs).

■The men had a heated discussion about the female characters they were cute

Q: Which of the female characters do you like?

Yamashita: Maybe it's because I'm playing a relationship with Yu, and I think Koyuki is very cute. There's a little bit of mystery about her, and she's also a good person (laughs).

Ashaka: I'll top the willow.

Shimazaki: +1 upstairs.

Yamashita: Where's Toruko (laughs)!

Shimazaki: But don't you think it's rare to see such a great girl?

Hirosaka: No! After Yukiya went for a run, she gave Yukiya a massage! That makes me feel amazing.

Shimazaki: You're very capable.

Gasaka: I'm obviously fully aware that Yukiya's heart is all on Toko's side, but she's still so diligent in taking care of Yukiya, what else can I say about this other than a "good woman"?

Shimazaki: Besides, she's so smart, so understanding, and she has what she wants to do, which is a bit too much. I really want to say to Yukiya, "You think about the willow for me!" ”

Yamashita: Both of you are on fire (laughs).

Q: So, could you tell us about the highlights of "Lip of Glass"?

Yamashita: When I watched this work, I thought about the heat of summer and when I was a high school student. I also starred in the work with that sweet and sour feeling of youth. I think this is a work that can bring back the memories of "that era".

Shimazaki: "Lips of Glass" is a work that doesn't need to be introduced to the audience. And when we perform, we dig deep into the work and let a lot of things burst out. So I'm very happy. I hope that you will be able to listen, see, and feel carefully, and enjoy it while thinking about it.

Osaka: Even when we were dubbing, no one told us what we could do with this ability. However, for the audience, I hope everyone can think about the follow-up development, including love issues, and make up for what this ability will be used for. Please pay close attention.

■Question: If you could know what the future would be?

Shimazaki: If I could know the future, even if I saw a bright future, if I realized it, it might not turn out very well. So I think it's better not to know.

Osaka: Torako's mother once said, "Even if the future is bad, be enlightened," and "If it's a good future, you'll be able to enjoy it twice," and I think her words reflect my own thoughts.

Shimazaki: If this ability is like this, I think I still want it: if the future is great, then erase my memory; If the future is bad, then I will change it with awareness......

Yamashita: Well, that's too cunning (laughs). But it would be nice to avoid an unfortunate future. It would be great if Glasslip was the same story!
