Yuri Yamaoka, who has played roles such as "Dream Cake Chef" chocolate, "Tamako Market" Joey, "The Other Side of the Realm" Ai Shindo, and "White Box" Erica Yano, is currently attracting more and more attention from voice actress fans. Recently, she was interviewed by the media.

Q: How was the shooting going today?

A: I'm so tired~! I guess I'm all red and sweating. Actually, since I was a child, I wasn't very good at facing cameras, and I used to have promotional photos from my office, so it would be nice to be able to choose one of the dozens that would work. It's okay for me to participate in events or NICONICO live broadcasts, but I can't face the camera~ It's always been like this, and today will be the first step for me to overcome my weaknesses.

Q: It's been a lot of work for you (laughs). So let's get started quickly. You have a good job in Blow! In "On the Trumpet", she played the role of Yuko Yoshikawa, and Miss Yamaoka is as good at playing the trumpet as she is.

A: I've been studying piano since I was 2~3 years old, and I'm thinking about joining a music club after junior high school. When it came time to choose an instrument, a very beautiful senior was a trumpet player, and then she advised me to "play the trumpet!" "Since it's such a beautiful senior's request, I have no choice but to say "yes" (laughs).

Q: That's true (laughs)! And then it was blowing for a long time, right?

A: 6 years of middle school. When I was in high school, I participated in a national competition and won a gold medal. To be honest, I was going to go to a music university, but I felt a little tired. So just when I was thinking about doing something different, a friend complimented me on my good voice. FOR THIS REASON, I ENTERED THE AMUSEMENTMEDIA ACADEMY WITH THE GOAL OF BEING A VOICE ACTOR. It was a very sudden change of course (laughs).

Q: From a musical point of view, Ms. Yamaoka can actually sing at work......

A: Well, the sound is completely different from the instrument. Although I am very good at playing the trumpet, if you ask me how I sing, it is still ...... I understand scales and rhythms, but my body is not always able to follow these requirements...... (laughs)

Q: So, because of these rumors, Miss Yamaoka got the role of Yuko?

A: How do you say this (laughs). But Yuko-chan, like me, is a character who admires her predecessors very much. And her favorite senior, the middle-aged Koori, is played by Miss Minori Chihara, and I like her very much! Also, Yuko's trumpet happened to be the same as me, and it was all silver.

In addition, in the anime, she participated in an event called Sunfes, and Yuko's movement with the trumpet at that time was also very similar to mine. I was shocked myself (laughs).

Q: That's synchronization, isn't that (laughs).

Q: Also, last year, Ms. Yamaoka appeared in "TribeCoolcrew" Kanon Otosaki.

A: Huayin is a girl who uploads her dancing videos to the Internet. At first, he was more honest and couldn't show his feelings, but then he was very crazy. It would be nice for everyone to witness the energetic appearance of Hana-chan.

Q: It is said that the theme of this work is dance, and there are dancing scenes in every episode.

A: Some of them are for rhythmic shots, and Hana's dance has a different rhythm from ordinary dances, which makes me feel quite handsome. It's hard to show that lightness...... I feel a little silly (laughs). And everyone else often suffers frustration in terms of pacing.

I went to **EX to learn dance once. Although my body became numb later, I was very happy! Dancing is now compulsory in elementary school, and this work will be interesting even if adults watch it. Q: Also, when it comes to Ms. Yamaoka's work, I have to mention Erica Yano from "White Box". Although this is a work that girls are cute, Yano Erica's hairstyle, clothing, and words and deeds are eye-catching.

Yamaoka: Miss Erica Yano seems to be very popular with the staff (laughs). And she had to communicate with other characters in her work, and I felt pressure for that. After all, it's hard to put out words that I've never heard of before in a convincing tone. But after all, it's the first time I've played a role like Erica Yano, so I'm sure I've grown up as well.

Q: You also starred in Tachibana in Musashino's animation zuò's "The Third Flying Girls".

Yamaoka: We've all played several roles. Is Tachibana a a character...... I always thought it was like Erica Yano, so I just performed it (laughs).

Q: I would also like to mention "The Other Side of the Realm", which was released in March this year, and the theatrical version of "Future" was released in April.

A: "The Other Side of the Realm" is a work that fully embodies human nature. Each character in the theatrical version has its own highlights, and the mysteries in the TV anime have been solved. "The Past Chapter" is a retrospective of previous TV series, but watching it in the cinema has a special flavor. I think it's even more enjoyable than watching TV anime.

Q: You starred in it as a beautiful girl named Ai Shindo?

A: It's a cute character, but it's actually been around for hundreds of years. So it's a bit cunning to think that such a character is cute (laughs). However, this feeling is not actually reflected in the TV anime and theatrical version. After all, it's easy to arouse everyone's disgust, so I'm basically selling cute. Of course, in the online animation, she will show some unknown side.

Q: During the stage event, Ms. Yamaoka went to Nagoya, Osaka, and Kyoto. Did you eat something good, too?

A: Takoyaki in Osaka, sweet and salty meatball skewers in Kyoto, and tempura rice balls in Nagoya. Thank you for your hospitality! I also went to major theaters, where popcorn was sold. And I ate so much popcorn that I didn't have any appetite for specialty products (laughs).

Q: You have a very good relationship with Risa Taneda, who performed with her in "The Other Side of the Realm". So what made you closer?

A: It was on the radio program "ふゆかいラジオ" on "The Other Side of the Realm". When I starred with her in "The Second Generation of the Current Television Research Institute" before, I once greeted me and said, "Let's work together in "The Other Side of the Realm" next." And because he even hosted the show together later, the relationship quickly improved.

Q: Sometimes when you look at the photos of the two of you, it always feels a little similar.

A: Ah, maybe because we are all black and straight, some of them are not easy to distinguish. Sometimes people say it's like it (laughs). What we have is similar. For example, in Kyoto, I always wear clothes with star patterns, and when I play in Asakusa, I occasionally wear shoes with a slight color difference. Oh~! (laughs)

Q: Are your interests similar?

A: Well, I don't think it's too much of an exaggeration. That's why when I talk to my mom, I feel more like "twins from a past life" (laughs).

Q: What do you think are the advantages of Miss Taneda when you are together?

A: I'm afraid I'll have to talk about this for about an hour (laughs). In short, she is a very straightforward person. It looks very honest, but it's actually very pandering to others, and there are some natural things about it. I'm afraid the two of us have similar wavelengths. Last year, on my birthday, she made a reservation at a restaurant to make me fine wines. The bracelet I wore today was also given to me on my birthday by Tan-chan, and I wear it all the time. She specializes in the effect of the stone and carefully chooses a style that suits me. And the sauce also has a different color, but it is a pair. So you can't lose it (laughs).

A: Although she is a newcomer, she makes people feel full of fighting spirit. There are some places where the threads are off, but it's cute (laughs). She is in charge of information control and often does complex calculations, for which I spend a lot of time practicing my lines.

A: I can confidently play any game, so I guess I'm good at it (laughs). Especially compared to playing with everyone, I prefer to go to the strategy silently and according to the requirements alone. It's like when you're on vacation, you basically want to have enough fun (laughs).
