Concerts are held to continue musical activities

INTERVIEWER First of all, what was the reason why you decided to hold a solo concert?

Bao Zhi: When I was younger, I had a lot of work to do, so I was a little resistant to engaging in music. But when I got older, I suddenly wanted to try a new challenge. Music itself is my favorite area, and in retrospect, I wish I had done music activities earlier. I really want to have a concert, but this kind of thing is not something that is just talked about, and it is not something that can be agreed to by others while you are drinking...... So I did a lot of thinking. However, now that two albums have been released, the number of songs for the concert is enough, and the psychological preparation is ready. Now that the time was ripe, it was decided to do it at this point in time.

INTERVIEWER When you released your debut album "ONESONGS" in 2012, you can feel your sincerity and enthusiasm for your music activities.

Hoshi: I've released singles under my own name before, but it was after "ONESONGS" that I really wanted to pursue a musical career. At that time, it was said that a commemorative concert would be held, but it did not materialize. After the album was completed, I felt like I was coming to an end, so I put my energy back into my job, and a year passed in the blink of an eye. If this continues, the release of the album will soon become a memorial and memory, and I thought it would make sense to continue to carry out music activities little by little, so I released my second mini album "LITTLEWORLD" last year.

- Give the songs you wrote and composed to the producers, which is enough to show your enthusiasm for the second mini album of the producers, and it is also the lyrics and composers of all the songs. Isn't there more hope for a concert in this way?

Baoshi: I think so too. Fans have been urging me to hurry up and hold concerts. For the sake of those who are waiting, I should do something myself. If it still doesn't work, I can rent a small LIVEHOUSE and sing it, but at this time, the FrontierWorks staff who helped me a lot this time asked me, "Do you want to have a concert?" "Let me see the hope that maybe they can help me (laughs). When I expressed my desire to have a solo concert, they readily accepted it, and that's how this concert came about.

- I heard that the concert at "Differ Youtomo" has sold out tickets, congratulations!

Baoshi: Thank you. To be honest, I'm really relieved and so happy. Now I am very eager to hold a concert that can meet everyone's expectations.

INTERVIEWER By the way, what is the origin of the concert's name "DEPARTINGPARTY"?

Hoshi: First of all, I wanted to hold a concert that would fit the themes of "Journey" and "Friends". When it was named, it was the first place to use "DEPARTING", and "PARTY" was added to the double meaning of "companion in RPGs and other works" and "happy party". It contains the meaning of "let's do a party together and prepare to set off for a trip" in the present continuous tense. The logo also has a pop-up feeling, and it looks very joyful, and I like it very much.

INTERVIEWER "ONESONGS" and "LITTLEWORLD" have a variety of music styles and lyrics, and it is expected that it will be a harmonious and happy concert.

Hoshi: "ONESONGS" is a collection of songs from various genres, and I covered my favorite songs, as well as songs I used to write for others, so it's an all-inclusive and greedy album. And "LITTLEWORLD" also continues the route of the first album, and it includes works in my favorite genre. This time it was accompanied by a live band, and the arrangement was changed to a different version of the live performance arrangement from the CD, so I was looking forward to it.

There are a lot of songs this time, and the momentum is enough, and I figured out that this concert made everyone high. I hope that everyone will listen to the rhythm when listening to the song. When I want to take a break, we can chat (laughs).

INTERVIEWER Have you ever sung so many songs on stage?

Hoshi: This is the first time. I've sung 8 songs at mini concerts as a guest before, but this time it's still uncharted territory for me. I'm so panicked (laughs). Everyone may be worried about my physical problems, but don't worry, I usually run. However, when I get on stage, I get nervous, and it's scary not to know what to expect, and I get too much adrenaline, but there's always a way to do it (laughs).

- Your new song "DepartingParty!" that you wrote and composed for this concert! It's a masterpiece that's about six and a half minutes long.

Hoshi: Actually, all the songs on the album are like that, and the songs I wrote are quite long (laughs). I like songs that have a story like the theme song of the theatrical version. I wanted to write a new song and the theme song of the concert, so I wrote this one. It was written as a song that everyone would sing as soon as they heard it at a concert.

- A strong overture and an uplifting tune, the lyrics blend the tension and excitement of adventure, much like an RPG theme song.

Hoshi: Really? I just wanted to write a song that would be in line with the title and theme of the concert, and that would make everyone feel happy, and that would be sung directly and simply. So there's no need to think about the meaning of the lyrics, just listen to the melody, follow the feeling, and enjoy it wholeheartedly. This song will be released as a concert single, so I hope that when you go home and hear this song, you will remember the concert scene.

- The other track is in DepartingParty! "The Morning ...... of the Journey" was read aloud to the accompaniment.

Bao Zhi: Anyway, the opportunity is rare, so let's just add an extra track to it. Rather than expressing a few thoughts, it is better to take advantage of the profession of voice actor, and a reading aloud should make the listener happier. The worldview is the same, and the single lyrics are not set in stone, but have been changed to a form suitable for reading aloud.

Bao Zhi: It took me a lot of effort to make zuò around! Among them, there is a new picture made by Mr. Minekura (Kazuya), who has been taking great care of me very much. The highlight part is in the shape of a five-pointed star, and the logo is also added, which is very cute. I love standing on stage and watching countless glow sticks waving, so I wanted to do it myself this time.
