Every year, a large number of newcomers emerge in the Japanese voice actor industry, and for this reason, the Japanese media specially produced a program called "New Voice Actor Illustrated Guide". The show interviews and reports on some of the most promising rookie voice actors, to understand the behind-the-scenes stories of their entry into the industry, and their prospects for the future. In the latest issue of the "Rookie Voice Actor Guide", we will introduce Miho Arakawa, who has played the main role voice in works such as "Rotary Penguin Jar" (Takakura Yotsuku), "WizardBarristers Ben Moshi Cecil" (Kohara Kakumi), and "Yurika Kuma-arashi" (Yurika Castle Ginko).

Q: Ms. Arakawa starred in the TV anime "Yuri-Kuma-arashi" as the protagonist Yurishiro Ginko. But look at how often you watch live streams of other works on Twitter.

Arakawa: Exactly. I also watch the live broadcasts of other works, but "Lily Kuma-ran" is an original story, so I'm looking forward to the follow-up god unfolding like everyone in the audience, so I'm very happy.

Q: So would you tweet some of the phrases from Lily Bear?

Arakawa: I'm afraid that the audience is very concerned about the terminology. And when I post these words, I should also avoid spoilers. After all, I don't know if some of the content will become spoilers. For example, the sound of a bear varies from character to character, and I have to be careful not to let everyone know who the bear is.

Q: Silver is a girl who knew she was a man-eating bear from the beginning. So what are your thoughts about appearing so far?

Arakawa: At first, judging from the way she looked, she was a very lively and boyish character**. Relatively speaking, she doesn't talk much, and she doesn't have any cute actions. However, Ginko-chan actually performs all kinds of YY in her mind, which also reflects her cute side. In particular, it's easy to make up for Red Feather (voice actor: Nozomi Yamane) (laughs). Recently, I've been very interested in the contrast between her.

Q: There are some things that weren't in the original setting.

Arakawa: In many cases, I found out while dubbing.

Q: So every time you get a script, you get shocked.

Arakawa: It's exciting. It's the same when it comes to characters, sometimes the characters on the stage suddenly hang up, so every time you have to think: who is going to be bento this time...... I'm also worried about Ginzi-chan: she won't have a problem, right? (laughs)

Q: How is that possible, the protagonist can't quit halfway...... (laughs)

Arakawa: I hope that's what it looks like (laughs). In the past, in my debut film ("Rotary Penguin Jar", also directed by Kunihiko Kihara), I encountered some dangerous situations, so I couldn't figure out what was going to happen (laughs). Until I get the script for the next episode, I'm very anxious.

Q: Speaking of which, what was the atmosphere like at the dubbing scene?

Arakawa: Everyone was discussing the incredible phrases, and then they were talking to the guest voice actors about the worldview of the work. Everyone was having a lot of fun (laughs).

Q: I think there must be a lot of ideas from the original director in the worldview, so did the director also appear on the dubbing scene?

Arakawa: yes. After all, he also worked as a sound director. Sometimes he will explain the work alone with the guest voice actors.

Q: Ms. Arakawa starred in two works by director Hara in a row, and she served as the leading actress. What do you think are the characteristics of the worldview of this work?

Arakawa: I think only a director can create a zào world. For example, there are sounds and colors that are usually unimaginable in the work. The characters may not resonate with people at first, but everyone will be attracted by the world view and graphics, and then they will be deeply impressed.

Q: Attracted by the picture...... Speaking of which, the lines before the scene switch are particularly memorable. I've heard that this is also a feature of the show.

Arakawa: We are asked to say that those important words "echo in our ears." I think it's a way to make the audience want to keep watching. And the way each episode ends is the same. Since "Lily Bear Lan" basically does not have a trailer, the ending form is more important. What we need to pay attention to is "make the audience feel the charm at the end of the video".

Q: Is there anything that impresses you about the use of music and color?

Arakawa: First of all, the sound effects are very interesting. In the words of "Lily Bear Lan", it is "bear shock", "lily dark" and the like. It's hard to imagine an idea, and we're often surprised when it comes to dubbing a work. For music, the work is also very hard, so in the storyboard stage, some of the music that should appear at this time has already been arranged. I sighed: That's the soundtrack here...... And then the emotions burst out. It's easy to imagine the mood of the characters, and sometimes it makes you want to cry even when you listen to the music.

Q: So the plot is gradually going to ** in the future, so what kind of development should we expect? Tell us about that?

Arakawa: Silver has a very strong affection and attachment to Red Feather, but for such a mood, how will Red Feather's feelings change? I hope you will pay attention to this. In addition, the charm of Ginko's partner Lulu (voice actor: Ikuta Yoshiko) sauce has gradually been triggered. And the puzzle of the story is filled in piece by piece, and the mystery will also be solved. Therefore, I hope that you will be able to see the end.

Q: Well, the next topic will shift to Ms. Arakawa. What has been the turning point in your career so far?

Arakawa: Naturally, this is the debut work "Rotary Penguin Jar" (heroine Takakura Yoshi). I auditioned for the first time and was completely surprised that I was not expected to be selected. The people I starred with taught me a lot during the dubbing process. Not only acting, but also singing songs and participating in events because of this work have become the foundation of my current career. So it is difficult to replace the existence of zài.

Arakawa: It's a pleasure to be able to sing as a character. I've been exposed to music since I was a kid, so I love singing. In fact, I also participated in a song training course. At that time, the song was a cover of ARB (a band active in the 80s of the last century, with the lead singer Ling Ishibashi), so we were a little uneasy and didn't know what to do. However, we were covering the songs of a male band, and there was a contrast between them, so we were instructed that "there is no need to deliberately look handsome when singing", so we were able to sing naturally with the taste of a girl.

Q: So can you tell us how you spent your vacation?

Arakawa: Visit the art museum and enjoy the flowers. These are my interests. Also, this year, I got the shrine's Imperial Seal Book, so I want to collect this at different shrines in the future.

Q: Speaking of which, I was filming at Nezu Shrine today......

Arakawa: That's it, very accidental! I thought it would be nice if I brought the Imperial Seal (laughs). Now I feel that I carry this with me more than usual, but I plan it on my day off. There are many shrines nearby, but when I go out for work, I always look to see if there are any shrines in the neighborhood (laughs).

Q: So what kind of flowers do you like?

Arakawa: It's still a lily (laughs). No, it's not because of the work, but I liked it in the first place (laughs). In addition, roses, peonies, cherry blossoms, etc., are basically pink flowers. Also, I love narcissus. I went to an orchid show recently. I was worried about what to buy, so I finally took three pots back (laughs). Two of them were given to my mother. My own share is the new pink variety. It seems that it is only sold at exhibition stores, so it feels like a limited edition (laughs).

Q: Today's outfit is a black dress, which looks very elegant.

Arakawa: I like clothes with monochrome and patterned patterns. I also like bow ties, so most of the hairpins are of this type. I have a lot of these hairpins.

Q: Ms. Arakawa seems to have several nicknames, but what is your favorite one?

Arakawa: Miho, Hokin, etc. Miho shouted at Miss Murakawa from one of my offices. At first, it seemed that I wanted to shout MIPORIN, but I mispronounced it and turned into Miho (laughs).

Q: So, would you like to tell us about yourself as a voice actress and what you would like to challenge in the future?

Arakawa: I wanted to be able to play a variety of roles through guò animation, and I also wanted to be able to take on the challenge of being able to take on the job of a. I want to make full use of my experience as a nurse and participate in the work of the Department of Medicine. I've always loved ER. The work tells the story of a foreign medical scene that is a little different from Japan, and the condescending feeling is very handsome (laughs).

Q: It looks like you can use your medical knowledge in the voice acting process (laughs).

Arakawa: yes (laughs). The industry terms used in the medical field have unique pronunciations, so they may not be used in the work, but it would be nice if the knowledge could be used. Also, I want to pay attention to my health this year.

Q: Do you have health problems?

Arakawa: I wish I could live a more comfortable life. For example, getting up early and going out and the like. Now I'm going to try to walk one stop. However, it would be nice if you could pass the time by walking or other things in your free time. Ah, I've been able to go a lot of places on my own lately.

Q: Where do you go?

Arakawa: So, I'll go to the shrine alone (laughs). I've never been to a coffee shop by myself before. I bought them all and took them home because I felt that I couldn't calm down drinking coffee in the store.

Q: So what is the hardest thing you do alone?

Arakawa: Eat oil soba (laughs). Let's try to eat barbecue (laughs). I often go out for light meals.
