"Apocalypse of the Wings" ED release and singer interview
Following the release of her third album in November last year, Aira Yuuki's new single "REINCARNATIONBLUE" was released on Wednesday, November 27, 2013! THE TITLE SONG OF THE SAME NAME, "REINCARNATIONBLUE", IS THE ENDING SONG OF THE TV ANIME "APOCALYPSE" THAT WILL BE BROADCAST FROM OCTOBER. This time, we interviewed Aira Yuuki, who has just released a new song! She seems to have a lot to say to her lyrics "REINCARNATIONBLUE".
The key word in the piece is "reincarnation"
――What was your state of mind when you were selected as the singer of the ED song of the TV anime "Apocalypse"?
Aira Yuuki: I haven't released a single in over a year, so I was really happy! And the original work seems to be a fighting game, so I'm looking forward to the anime and what this song will become, and I'm excited anyway.
――The song you're singing has already aired in the anime, why don't you come and see it? Also, I would like you to tell us about your impressions of this work.
Aira Yuuki: This was the first time for me to challenge myself as a lyricist, so I was ten times more nervous than usual when I watched the first episode of the anime. Actually, I was going to ask someone else to write the lyrics, but the producer asked me if I wanted to try to write it, so I squeezed out some time to write a lyric. I didn't expect to be hired in the end, which surprised me ......! This part also made me feel even happier this time. When I was writing the lyrics, I read the setting materials and the script many times, and when it came time to actually watch the anime, my impression would still change a lot, so I was very happy when I watched the first episode. After that, I became obsessed with this anime, and I added hashtags on Twitter every week to watch it...... (laughs).
――Where did the title of the song "REINCARNATIONBLUE" come from? Tell us about the meaning of the title.
Aira Yuuki: REINCARNATION means reincarnation, and BLUE means melancholy in feelsoblue. In the world of "Apocalypse of the Wings", the characters unknowingly embark on a determined fate, so I chose the keyword "reincarnation". Everything else is based on the lines in the script, woven lyrics. If I have to say it, this song caters more to the mood of the heroine Noelle.
――What was the recording like? Let's talk about how you felt while recording.
Aira Yuuki: Since the melody of the whole piece is relatively stable, it gives people a very cold and handsome feeling. I put a lot of effort into how to lengthen the emotional accent.
――Including the melody and lyrics, what do you think is the biggest highlight of the whole song?
Aira Yuuki: This is a rare, cold but passionate R&B anime song, so please listen to it several times to feel the charm. The lyrics are desperate at first, but they gradually become hopeful, and I think that's probably one of the highlights.
――Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans?
Aira Yuuki: There are a lot of events that I will participate in at the end of the year! New songs will continue to be presented to everyone, so please be sure to cheer you on!
