October 6 this year marks the 30th anniversary of the launch of "Space Battleship Yamato". From then to today, the times have moved forward for a full thirty years. In the past 30 years, Japanese animation has completed the process from naivety to maturity, and the "Space Battleship Yamato", known as the "first impact", as the beginning of this long process that is still ongoing, the shadow of the Yamato has become a blurred outline behind the veil of time, forever standing on the distant horizon, so that people will always remember: no one can ignore the great existence and spirit.
In the 70s of the 20th century, Japan ended its post-war hardship and began to develop rapidly. Freed from the memory of World War II and the shadow of militarism, culture has also entered a new era with economic development; At that time, mankind began a new industrial revolution, and science and technology gradually occupied all the space of life. It was at that time that countless inventions that have now become an integral part of civilization were created, computers began to play a practical role in society, and the boom in space exploration that was sparked by the struggle for hegemony between the United States and the Soviet Union culminated in the successful Apollo moon landing in 1969. It was a high-spirited era, full of passion and enthusiasm, believing that hard work will inevitably bring progress and a hopeful tomorrow. As a part of the culture, animation and manga inevitably reflect the spirit of the times vividly; After starting a business in the 60s, from the 70s, the anime industry gradually grew, moving away from childishness and becoming mature, and at the same time began to develop on its own. Most of the oldest generation of anime directors and manga artists have been on the stage since that era, and it was at that time that Otaku was born, and it was at that time that the current generation of the backbone established their own ideals and prepared for the future.
The key words of that era were technology and romance. Japanese animation supervisors and manga writers have been working together to develop the space of science fiction since the post-war period; Astro Boy, Re-Creation 009, Iron Man No. 28, plus the great Demon God series born in the early 70s, it should be said that with 1972, the animation created by "Demon God Z" began to take root, and by the mid-70s, the SF soil in the animation industry was already very solid, and the imagination required for literary and artistic works was particularly easy to co-produce with SF, so, in 1974, the production of such an animation was a matter of course.
In 1974, Yoshitan Nishizaki was 40 years old. He started his life path as a live producer of stage and music, and later collaborated with Osamu Tezuka, participated in the production of animation in Worm プロ, and in 1972, as a producer, he adapted Tezuka's "Little Flying Dragon (海のトリトン)" into an anime with a newcomer named Yoshiyuki Tomino - of course. By the way, this anime was Tomino's first work as a director, and for Nishizaki Yoshino, this anime also made his first foray into the TV animation industry. After the collapse of the insect in 1973, he produced a TV animation called "ワンサくん"; This anime is mediocre, but in the same year that "ワンサくん" was produced and ended, he and Yamamoto began to plan a new animation, which was destined to leave a name for many people in history and truly create a new era.
Nishizaki Yoshizan's vision for this anime was a work with the theme of "the earth is in crisis and mankind is looking for a place to live in the universe", in other words, the SF version of Noah's Ark; We know that the Japanese have never lacked a sense of crisis, and the oil crisis that broke out in 1973 made this sense of crisis a reality, and perhaps this is where this project came from in the first place. - Nishizaki is a stage and music producer, and he has been trying to truly combine the charm of film, theater, and music with animation since "ワンサくん". Now he has a romantic stage of a vast universe, and to achieve his purpose, it is a perfect stage. To this end, he also specially recruited the famous science fiction writer Yutsune Toyoda (he is the script writer of the animations "Astro Boy" and "Forest Emperor") to help with the setting, and Toyota himself also served as the supervisor to make this science fiction world more reasonable and realistic; In fact, it is precisely because of its reality that this animation can be used as a foundation to exert extraordinary romance, conquer people's hearts, and become an unshakable milestone and classic.
In 1974, Matsumoto was 36 years old. At that time, he was still young, but he had been working hard in the comic book industry for a long time, and he was already famous as a manga artist; His style was already formed by this time, and his unique style of painting, science fiction, aesthetics and romance has continued to this day. Matsumoto's style is exactly what Nishizaki liked; In April 1974, he approached Matsumoto and asked him to be the artist and character designer for the anime. Matsumoto agreed; However, at the end of June, after Yamamoto went abroad to collect materials, the animation production zuò encountered many problems - from "Astro Boy" to "Forest Emperor", the animation has the merits of Yamamoto Yoichi, and without his ability, the zuò group really can't be used——, so Matsumoto has to take over the task of supervision. Prior to this, although he had already created many critically acclaimed manga, this was the first time he had served as an animation director. - In this way, under the coordination of "producer and chief conductor" Yoshinoshi Nishizaki, the banner of this anime gathered a lineup that we think is today and was also extremely luxurious at the time: including Ryo Matsumoto and Yoshiichi Yamamoto, and Toshio Masada ("Tiger! Tiger! Tiger! director) as a screenwriter and director; In terms of setting, there are Toyota and Constant; The performance was performed by Noboru Ishiguro, who later proved his talent once again as the director of Macross Macross; In addition, the storyboard for this anime is Yoshiyuki Tomino and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko! What are these names combined?! Although some people were not very famous at the time, these thunderous names can be heard today. It was a splendor that belonged only to that era; It is also in the hands of these first-generation animation makers that a new universe is about to unfold, like the sea of stars that appeared in front of that space battleship.
"Goodbye, Earth......"
With the deep and deep singing voice of the famous singer, on October 6, 1974 (yes, it was a few days ago thirty years ago), a huge dark blue battleship slowly sailed to the depths of the picture and to the far part of the universe against the backdrop of the universe and the earth; In this way, "Space Battleship Yamato (宇宙戦船ヤマト)" was officially launched. "SOS Earth!! The awakened space battleship Yamato", the title now seems to be the same as "Gundam, standing on the earth!" Or "Apostles, Strike" has the same status as the clarion call that announces the opening of a new era. - The new anime was originally planned to run 39 episodes; But at the time, no one, including Nishizaki Yoshisho himself, thought of the meaning and impact of this work.
The storyline of "Space Battleship Yamato" is only a single line, but compared to the previous anime, its plot is quite deep and complex: in 2199, the Earth was attacked by the mysterious alien Gamilas (ガミラス) people, and countless flaming meteorites, the Wandering Star Burst Bomb, fell to the surface, shrouding the entire Earth in the shadow of radioactive death. All life and water on the ground are all gone (the earth was bombed like Mars), and humans hide below the surface, fearing the threat of death; At this time, the distant Queen of the Isgandar (イスカンダル) star Stasia (スターシャ) sent a message from this star, if the earthlings could go to her, she would give the earth an artifact that could instantly restore the earth to its original state...... No, the super technology machine qì "Cosmic Cleaner D (コスモクリーナーD)" is sent. At the same time, she also gave the earthlings the manufacturing map of the "wave engine" that could reach her planet, because the earthlings had no time and no ability to build a spaceship at that time, so they transformed the battleship "Yamato" that was bombed and sunk on the bottom of the sea during World War II (because the sea is gone, so the wreckage of the battleship is actually on land) into a super space battleship that can dive, fly and sail in the space (how can that thing not rot into scrap metal after sinking at the bottom of the sea for more than 250 years...... The "Space Battleship Yamato" was born.
Stathea hand-painted by Zero Matsumoto.
To make a point clear, although the name is "Yamato", the pronunciation is the same as Yamato, and the ship is indeed the ship, literally speaking, the battleship and this space battleship are different: in Japanese, the former is written as "Yamato", and the latter is written as "ヤマト" in Katakana to show the difference. As far as Chinese is concerned, the former is also called "Yamato", but the name of the latter is written as "Yamato", which is for the same reason, and cannot be directly called "space battleship Yamato". When many people saw the Yamato, they asked, "Why did you build it like that battleship......?"
The time given to the Yamato and the entire crew was only 365 days. Humanity can only hold out for so long; In this short year, whether it was a vape jump or a space voyage, they had to travel 148,000 light-years (this number is now famous) to Isgandar, a long journey of 296,000 light-years back and forth. Except for the captain of the ship, Mr. Okita Thirteen, and a few others, including the protagonist Gu Jin, the ship is basically a young crew; In front of them, what stands in the way is the magnificent and dangerous cosmic environment, as well as the desperate resistance of the Gamilas fleet under the command of President Disla. At that time, at the end of each sentence, a line of subtitles would be typed: "There are XXX days before the destruction of the earth", reminding the urgency and tension of this mission all the time. (Do you know where the final subtitles of "398 Days of Mahoro" came from?) Anda even spoofed this in "H2". It's good to be able to spoof in that kind of place in the comics.,It's really strong...... So, after going through countless hardships and dangers, they finally reached Iskandar, retrieved the Cosmic Cleaner D, and saved the Earth.
Thirty years later, when we look at the Space Battleship Yamato again, that passion still reverberates in our hearts. The level of painting back then is indeed very rough now, but that was thirty years ago after all; is also a TV anime, looking at the works of the same era as "Yamato", the picture of Yamato can almost be called "amazing" at the time. Moreover, compared to the incomparably simple animation plot at the time, the depth of the plot of the Yamato is simply beyond that era. Like the TV version of "Demon God Z", although it has created a precedent for hot-blooded and huge machines, the entire plot structure is far from complete compared to Hiroshi Nagai's comics. The popular plot at that time was like this: a stupid and evil enemy appeared, and after a whoa-wow-wow-la-la-la-swoop, he was blasted into scrap metal by a punch by the righteous protagonist, and then he met a new enemy next week, and then fought again...... "Demon God Z" was like this 72 chapters from beginning to end, which was also the common mode of animation at that time; As for the enemies, such as the Doctor Hell Hundred Ghost Empire, they are monsters who only know destruction and aggression.
But in Yamato, all of this was fundamentally changed. The enemies of the Yamato are no longer secret societies that want to conquer the earth or aliens who will only send flying saucers to the earth in batches to destroy, but the Gamilas Empire they are facing is a truly large and terrifying country, and the Gamilas and Isgandar are double stars (this setting alone is brilliant enough); The plot of the anime is no longer a battle to defend the "city" (to borrow the name, hehe), but an epic journey to save the planet. Of course, the battle is still the main line, but the battle in "Space Battleship Yamato" was directly based on the battles in World War II from the beginning, and it really deserves to be the supervisor of Toshio Mada...... Although limited by the times, the so-called politics, strategy, and tactics are still only some superficial concepts, but they are finally there; Moreover, "Yamato" is the first anime to depict war scenes with a stern attitude. The realistic style that runs through the whole work is quite strong, and Matsumoto Ryshi is a master of it: the courage of battle and the cruelty of war appear together in "Yamato", and there is nothing to hide. Even now, this animation is also a work that is enough to watch. Coupled with such a lavish line-up as a guarantee, its success should be a matter of course......
Yamato five views. At the bottom of the ship is the "famous" third bridge.
- However, at that time, when "Yamato" was first broadcast, it encountered a crisis of Yan zhòng, and the ratings have been hovering in a sluggish state. According to Nishizaki Yoshino's later recollection, the average viewership of the first broadcast was only 5.4%, which was not enough not only at the time, but also the ratings of the first half of the anime were quite low, and the average was still pulled up by the second half. So, like the fate of the later "Mobile Suit Gundam", the length of "Yamato" was ordered to be compressed to 26 episodes, and this is the original TV version we saw.
The reasons for this result are both subjective and objective. At that time, the screening time of "Yamato" unfortunately collided with the famous American science fiction films "Planetofthe Apes" and "Heidi of the Alps". "Heidi" is also a classic masterpiece in the history of animation, Jun Miyazaki does the scene setting and picture composition, and Isao Takaha is responsible for the performance, which has a strong competitiveness; And when the first episode of "Yamato" began to air, "Heidi" just happened to develop to a key turning point in the plot. Therefore, it can only be said that "Yamato" is too unlucky: the audience who is chasing "Heidi" will naturally not watch such an animation that has just been broadcast, plus the first screening of "Yamato" was in the time period of 4-5 o'clock in the afternoon, this is the time of children, and children cannot be interested in such a profound and difficult plot; After missing the first few episodes, few people can watch it.
By the time "Heidi" finished broadcasting, "Yamato" had almost reached the end. The failure of the opening greatly reduced the confidence of investors, so the plot of the second half was forced into 26 episodes, so there were many ideas that were not realized at the beginning: for example, at the beginning, Kotsunobu's brother Komori was actually set as the son of Okita Thirteen, and Matsumoto also first proposed the idea of "Space Pirate Harlock" in the system of "Yamato". But like some of the episodes at the end of Gundam, none of these ideas came to fruition. The strictest problem is not here: in fact, it was the era in which the Yamato was born that limited it and made it difficult to begin without.
At that time, the attitude of the Japanese towards anime was the same as that of China today, but it was regarded as "something that children watched". The spirit before the 70s, the most famous representative is "Ultraman", "Demon God Z", "Kamen Rider" and other works, and the people of the time even called the anime "TVまんが" - TV manga; Those who are so-called "mature" are dismissive of animation, and the animation industry itself only produces works for young audiences. Now when we look at the animation plots of that era, the plots are generally very simple, in fact, it is not that the people at that time were stupid, but because those animations were made for children, and there is no need and no need for any complexity and depth. This is why "Yamato" has been called the "first shock" in the animation industry: it was the first attempted and finally successful animation for older audiences. From that time thirty years ago, this animation appeared for the first time in the world; Later, at the time of the rerun, "Yamato" was put to the time of 7 p.m. The program at this time is no longer for children, and more high-age viewers are also exposed to this animation at this time - this is the beginning of the legend of the Yamato.
The fate of "Yamato" and "Gundam", two landmark masterpieces of the same era, is really very similar: the same attempt to express a profound plot, the same sluggish ratings because of this, the same forced to reduce the length of the film, and the same resurgence of popularity due to the broadcast of the theatrical version. After the rerun of "Yamato", it gradually gained a high reputation among the audience, and the newly launched anime magazine "Animage" spared no effort to praise it. Finally, three years later, "Yamato" was crowned with the title of "royal road", and on August 6 of the same year, the theatrical version of "Yamato" was finally screened. The real change of the times of "Yamato" was the theatrical version that was screened on August 6, 1977; The theatrical version is based on the TV version, condensing the essence of 26 episodes (indeed the essence) into a two-hour and ten-minute movie, adding shots, and redoing a lot of the shortcomings and bugs in the TV version (especially at the end). In the same year, the United States also introduced "Yamato", which was renamed "StarBlazers" in the United States, and was deleted and changed according to the habits of Americans, and was reorganized from head to toe beyond recognition. The Americans' StarBlazers are more ruthless than the Skyhawk Warriors, so I won't say much about the specifics; But despite this, it still gained a lot of popularity and ratings in the United States. Although it can't compare to the incredible ratings of the Daedric series in Europe...... However, such an achievement is enough to silence some people in Japan who are making irresponsible comments.
Also in 1977, another landmark film, Star Wars, was screened and brought about a huge sci-fi craze. For Star Wars, believe me don't need to say anything more; Although it was not until 1978 that it was screened in Japan, the Yamato had already stirred up the first wave of the craze. The theatrical version of "Yamato" was a great success during the year, and for the first time, people were surprised to see people begin to queue up all night in front of the cinema for an animated film to be screened – the victory of 1977 was not accidental, all accidents were woven under the weave of the thread of necessity; Some people set the date of "First Impact" as 1977, and it is because of this theatrical version.
Throughout history, Space Battleship Yamato was the first anime in Japan to truly make a zuò for the upper age group. At that time, lovers of "Yamato", from senior elementary school students to college students, were fanatical about it; For those born in the first half of the 60s, "Yamato" is an object of eternal remembrance. Their animation journey is in sync with the development of Japanese animation: from special pinching to animation, from "Ultraman" to "Majin Z" and then to "Yamato", the history of animation has moved forward with them, and animation has grown with them. At that time, in the newspapers, there were also complaints and criticisms from adults about young people "watching animation when they grow up", but relatively (this is a key point different from that in China!) Newspapers also published articles by young people expressing their opinions and refuting adults, which led to a debate that completely reversed Japanese opinion a few years later.
In an article in April this year, I once said: What China lacks is not a Disney-style animation concept, what we lack is precisely the brave man like "Yamato" who can free the Chinese people from the curse of "animation is for children". And that's just the way it is: Yamato influenced an entire generation of Japanese. It is precisely because of the emergence of "Yamato" and its success that Japanese animation can get out of the bottleneck of young age, face a broader space, and use the beam of the wave cannon to clear the obstacles and play a blue sky. Anime is no longer "TVまんが", but a real "アニメ" - just two years later, in 1979, Yoshiyuki Tomino's "Mobile Suit Gundam" took this revolutionary achievement one step further, allowing the development of animation to quickly enter the 80s; Then, in 1982, the great success of "Macross Macross", supervised by Noboru Ishiguro, brought about an era when animation flourished in the 80s. Later, in the midst of this trend, the revolutionary appearance of OVA in 1983 greatly expanded the imagination and activity space of animation. To this day, looking at this garden of thousands of purple and red animations, we still can't forget jì, this garden door is actually opened for us by "Yamato".
In the boom of "Yamato", a new state of life for human beings also quietly sprouted. Among the young people of the generation who were influenced by Yamato, the germ of the creature now known as Otaku was born. The craze for "Yamato" is the soil that they have born, because there has never been an anime before that can make people other than children so fanatical - it's like a child; What "Yamato" brought to these fanatics was the inspiration of visuals, intelligence gathering, and a comprehensive understanding of animation. Only Yamato can do that; No matter how these fanatics revolved around Gaita or the Demon God's animations before, there were very few animations to dig into after all, and both anime and enthusiasts were powerless. And the appearance of "Yamato" just caters to the feelings and psychology of these people.
At that time, a young viewer O (in order to save words, I won't mention that his name is Okada Doujio) later wrote this paragraph when recalling the experience of watching "Yamato" in his youth:
"With a bang, the main cannon of the Yamato fired, and then with a snap, the beam hit the enemy ship; Then, after a second or two of 'pause', the enemy ship exploded and turned into a fireball. It is this two-second 'pause' that greatly enhances the realism of the animation. Then I thought: probably the explosion extended to the ammunition depot or the engine during this time, so it exploded, right? Oh, this 'pause' is so strong, it's so realistic......"
At that time, the first generation of Otaku became Otaku, and it was essential to train the ability to capture, analyze, and collect data from the details on the screen. This is what Okada called "the frontier of visual evolution", in fact, this is also the case with Mobile Suit Gundam, and the same is true for Macross; It was after the broadcast of "Macross" that "Otaku" came into view as a proper noun. But the "Otaku" have long existed, and "Space Battleship Yamato" has nurtured them, and with their own existence, they have become the indiscriminate use of countless strict sù and adult anime in the future. (I'm not referring to the H animation, I want to drag it out crookedly and bend my body into an O-shape!) )
The Yamato's meteorite defense belt and the famous wave cannon.
Since "Yamato", SF animation has entered a new realm. "Yamato" gives people dreams of the universe and a desire for romance; Since 1977, there have been many works in the TV anime family that are set in the universe. In 1978, Matsumoto took out the plan about space pirates that he originally wanted to use in "Yamato" but was deleted due to space compression, and then produced the masterpiece of the masterpiece, the great "Space Pirate Captain Harlock" series, and a few months later, "Galaxy Railroad 999", which was his masterpiece also came out; In fact, Captain Harlock's Arcadia is a space battleship. In 1976's "Big Sky Demon Dragon ガイキング", the "mothership" of the "mothership" also appeared for the first time in the machine qì man animation (although it was still a rough embryo), and compared with the Yamato, the basic model of almost all space warships in Japanese animation has not changed much. The concept of "Universe = Sea of Stars" began to take root in people's hearts, and the concept of vape jumping and the scene of jumping, the tradition of fighting with fleets and carrier-based aircraft in space, and the romance of sailing in the sea of stars have been passed down to this day. [Huh?] Captain Harlock, the one Takuya played? I really want to see it because I was praised by the author. The Galactic Railway has already been bold, it's too old for me]
If Gundam hadn't been set in the universe, or if the plot hadn't been so complex, it wouldn't have become an epoch-making classic, and the Macross series wouldn't have been created without the Yamato. In other respects, Yoshiki Tanaka himself said that the depiction of fleet battles and warships in "Ginei" was influenced by "Yamato", and he also used "Yamato" as a reference for his writing—in fact, why should I say so much? Many of the young people who watched "Yamato" later grew up and made animation their life's work, and they are now active at the forefront of the animation industry. As a result, in all the animations that use the universe as a stage, you can find the shadow of the Yamato, which is the most important wealth left by "Yamato" to future generations. In addition, Nishizaki Yoshizhan himself also made an animation in 1979 that followed the trend "Cosmic Empty Mother Blue Noah (Cosmic Empty Mother ブルーノア)", obviously, from the name to the setting, it is all copied from the Yamato; However, it was only a failed second-rate work, and few people remember it today......

Animation is a complete business at all times. Capitalists who invest in animation are always the only criterion for maximizing profits; For those classic masterpieces, not to mention that it is impossible for the maker to refuse to do so, even if the maker is unwilling, these cash cows have not been used once and then left idle on the altar forever. - So, sequels followed: the Demon God series is like this, Gundam, Macross...... The same is true for many other "series". "Yamato" is naturally not immune; On August 5, 1978, the year after the first theatrical version was a big hit, the second theatrical version of "Goodbye, Space Battleship Yamato ~ Warriors of Love" was broadcast, and the pomp and circumstance was unprecedented. 4 million people walked into theaters to watch the film, and it grossed 4.3 billion yen, ranking first in theatrical animation at the time and for a long time afterward. This record was not broken until 1989 by Jun Miyazaki's "Witch Home Delivery Service". [Movies and TV series are the same, they are all commercial activities, and they can also produce classics]
With the end of the screening of "Goodbye, Yamato", a new TV version was immediately launched on October 14 of the same year. The plot of this "Space Battleship Yamato II" is exactly the same as the previous theatrical version, except that it has been adapted into a 26-episode TV version. This is a rather rare example of a theatrical version followed by a TV version: both productions tell the story of Earth and the battle between the new cosmic powerhouse, the White Comet Empire, with only a few changes at the end. The most touching thing about this work is the tragic love between Daisuke Nagashima, the voyage of the Yamato, and Tirissa, the saint of the Tierisat Star; Although the theme of "space travel" in the first part is still retained, it has been greatly weakened, and the Yamato has basically no trouble during the voyage except for fighting the enemy, and more than half of the front and back pages are devoted to the Yamato's defense of the earth. The Yamato, which was about to be abandoned after the last long trip, was resurrected with the efforts of the crew, and the boss of the previous game, President Disla, also appeared as a guest of the White Comet Empire this time, and he is still an enemy of the Yamato. From here, the main emotional cornerstone of the Yamato "series" was laid: in addition to romance, nostalgia was laid.
The love between Daisuke Shima and Tirissa is an important thread running through Yamato II.

After the end of "Space Battleship Yamato II", the next two years, on July 31, 1979 and August 2, 1980, two theatrical versions of "Space Battleship Yamato ~ A New Journey" and "Yamato Forever" were also released. The plots of the two theatrical versions are linked back to back: the Yamato first fights a fleet of the Dark Cluster Empire on Isgandar, and then attacks the Dark Cluster Empire's main planet. The star of Gamilas is ruined, and Stathea blows herself up with Isgandar; The main role in "Space Battleship Yamato ~ A New Journey" is not Gu Jin, President Disla has more roles than him, and at this time he has become an ally of the Yamato. - Later, he led the remnants of the fleet to the central part of the galaxy and established the new Garuman Gamilas (ガルマン·ガミラス) empire, and started a war against another power that dominated the galaxy. During one battle, a misfired planetary destruction missile drifted and hit the sun, and the sun's nuclear fusion reaction increased abnormally, posing a serious threat to the earth, so the Yamato was ordered to set off to explore the second earth: this was the background for the space battleship Yamato III., which began broadcasting on October 11, 1980. I don't know if it's intentional or coincidental, the three generations of TV versions are all 26 episodes, and the broadcast time is surprisingly close, all in early October......
"Space Battleship Yamato ~ A New Journey" poster.
When it came to "Space Battleship Yamato III", the atmosphere of "space travel" was more light than that of "Yamato II", and although it was an urgent trip to find a new world for mankind, compared to the trip of the first game, this voyage was like a walk in your own back garden. Soon, the Yamato was involved in the war between the Garuman Gamilas Empire and the Bora Federation, and they naturally allied with Disla to fight against the Bora Federation, and finally defeated the fleet of the Bora Federation, and restored the sun to normal, saving the earth; From "Yamato III.", we can clearly see that even in the 80s, the Japanese were still terribly afraid of the Soviet Union: the Bora Federation is an authoritarian totalitarian country, all planets are icy and snowy, and the names of the characters are also Russian...... That's too insinuative, isn't it? At that time, there were many such innuendos in Japanese anime, and "Devilman" was not the same......
The sun in Yamato III.
When "Yamato III" developed to the final story, at the end of the film, a passage from Yoshinoshi Nishizaki was attached. Here, he made it clear that the next "Yamato" would be the last; Although he has said this since the earliest TV version, almost every time "Yamato" comes out, this time it is indeed true. Moreover, this last work did not be seen until three years later, that is, the theatrical version of "Space Battleship Yamato: The Finale", the 35mm version was released on March 19, 1983, and the better 70mm version was released on November 5, and this three-hour film version was extremely excellent at the level of production at the time, and it drew a complete end to the "Yamato" series. —2205 A.D. (Yes, only a year passed between each Yamato...... So the worst thing in the anime is the Earth Defense Fleet, they will be completely destroyed in each game, and then rebuilt, and the next year will be completely destroyed...... ), the Milky Way collides with a new galaxy emerging from another dimension. Planet to planet collide with each other, and the Garruman Gamilas Empire and the Bora Federation are all on their way to destruction. The new invader, the Dienkiel Empire, repeatedly made space jumps on the water planet Yak Elias, approaching the earth, and the Yamato, led by the resurrected first captain Okita XIII, destroyed the Dienkiel Empire after a bitter battle, and Disra also came to support and annihilated the Deenkiel fleet; In the end, Okita 13 and Ichi drove the Yamato into the center of Ark Elias and blew himself up, saving the earth.
The final self-detonation of the Yamato.
Antiquity
Thirty years ago, the Yamato left Earth and headed for space; From 1983 to today, the figure of the Yamato has been out of sight for 20 years. In the past twenty years, the prestige of the Yamato has not diminished in the slightest, and it has been incarnated into a rock formation of history, writing an irreplaceable page of history; Then, "history becomes legend, and legend becomes myth". - However, behind this myth, "Yamato" does have a truth that matches its reputation. As mentioned earlier, the greatest charm of "Yamato" is its romance: huge warships sail and fight in space, and survive a difficult situation. Look at every shot, every story. Countless famous scenes in "Yamato" are part of this myth: when Moriyuki says "I won't say goodbye" to her mother, when the Yamato sets sail for the first time, when the wave cannon is fired for the first time, when the tattered Yamato charges to the death against the white comet, when Stasia and Isgandal blow themselves up together, when Disra and Kosumu say goodbye in the universe, at the end of "Yamato III.", when it decides against the Bora Federation Space Fortress, and in the finale, Captain Okita 13 reappears, When Disla arrives to the rescue at the last moment, when the Yamato blew itself up, and when Miè Yak Elias is destroyed - every part, every episode. As long as the distant song sounds, the dark blue shadow of the ship crosses the sea of stars, and in the burst of light that blooms like countless flowers, romance and blood slowly spread in the body. [The author has a lot of feelings for the Yamato, and was a little moved by what he said]
The title of the first TV version of "Yamato" perfectly embodies this romance. Here are a few of the best-done titles:

Episode 11 Decision!! ガミラス絶対防線開開!!
Episode 12 Absolute Death!! オリオンの愿い星、hell星
Episode 19 Universe の Wang郷! 母の涙は我が涙
Episode 20 バラン星に太阳が落下する日!!
Episode 22!! 七色星団の攻防戦!!
Episode 23 Chase に Come た! マゼラン星云波高し!!
Chapter 24 Death!! 神よガミラスのために泣け!!
Episode 25 イスカンダル!! 灭びゆくか爱の星よ!!
Just looking at it makes people's blood boil. It's a pity that the titles of II. and III. are not so good......
[Little White Sleeves continue to mess in: Lord Author, to be honest, I don't see any good in these few...... (Masses: too much nonsense, drag it out!!) )]
The water planet Yak Elias.
On the other side of the war, there is the friendship and love of the crew of the Yamato: Kosubu (whose voice actor is Keiya Toyama), Captain Okita, Daisuke Shima, engineering squad leader Shiro Sanada, ship doctor Sado Sake Brewery, machine Qì man Anaresa (アナライザー), agency captain Tokugawa Hikozaemon, fighter captain Saburo Kato...... This is a friendship between the crew that is extremely rare to see in the anime of that era, and the crew shares hardships and hardships. It was a real solidarity, and the Yamato was like a big family; From the end of the first voyage, at the beginning of each new work, the crew came to the monument of Captain Okita to remember it. This is the hearts of the Yamato, and it is also the source of the cohesion of the Yamato: some people died in battle, and new people came up to replace them, joining the big family one by one, and preserving the experience of sailing and fighting in the universe as the most precious treasure. When Matsumoto designed Captain Okita, he was modeled after his father, and Sado Shuzo embodies his consistent style; Although it was a shape designed by him, Mori Xue is not a standard Matsumoto-type beauty, because the hair is not long =v= (Matsumoto is particularly fond of naming female characters with the word snow), and "mysterious saints with great power and full of motherhood" like Staxia and Tirisa are his favorite paintings......
- Next, there is the love between Gu Jin and Sen Xue: there is no darkness and betrayal in the love between them, and this was not the case at that time: the two of them grew up together in a trip, and even when Sen Xue stayed on Earth, her heart was also concerned about the ancient times in the universe. There was only understanding and warmth between them, just as the elder brother of ancient Moru and Stasia did; After several years and several works, at the end of the finale, the two finally got married. This is when the Yamato becomes a monument in the universe and the earth is at peace forever, and the wedding between them is the happiest ending that the overseers can think of, and it also heralds a new tomorrow for mankind after the story of "Yamato" ends.
(Gu Jin and Sen Xue are both strong...... After Gu Jin became the captain of the ship in "Yamato II", he was still in charge of fluctuating cannons, hand-to-hand combat, air combat, and often went on expeditions, which was really busy...... But that's not as good as Mori Xue: Mori Xue was an adjutant when she was fighting, and she was usually a life squad leader and nurse, and when she arrived at "Eternal Yamato" and "Yamato: The End", she worked as a secretary for Chief Fujido, and she also worked as a spy for the Earth's resistance organization in "Eternal Yamato", and she was also responsible for defusing the Chongyangzi bomb...... Sweat to death) [Oh hahaha, I don't mess in, it's always okay to slap the table and laugh]
Ancient Jin, Moriyuki, Okita Thirteen, Tilisa
Although the shell is the battleship of the old Japanese Navy, the "Yamato" has been completely reborn compared to the "battleship Yamato". The Yamato is by no means militaristic, or what should be spurned: its oversight, determines its spirit, not to mention Matsumoto Zero; Nishizaki Yoshisho has always been about love, courage, hope, and peace. From the original TV version, it has been like this: when the Captives of the Gamilas were captured for the first time, Kosu, despite his great hatred for these aliens, finally treated the captives leniently, and at the end of the trip, Disla lured the Yamato into the planet Gamilas, and the Yamato fought desperately and swept away all attacks; When the ancient awoke from the scarred deck and saw the devastated land of Gamilas, "he felt deeply that a planet in the universe had disappeared." "The Yamato has always been like this in the universe, and from the anime, we can see the humane spirit that Japan has never had before. INTERVIEWER I hope that the right-wing FQ manga artists and writers in Japan will look back at the Yamato and understand the spirit of cherishing life and hoping for peace......
Disla's change, together with the journey of the Yamato, profoundly reflects this. - The original boss Disla, he appeared in almost every "Yamato", and every time there was a change: as the president of the Gamilas Empire (his Japanese title is "総絏組", not "Grand Commander"), in the face of the fate of the imminent demise of Gamilas, he chose the earth, turned the earth into hell with a wandering star bomb, and prepared to move to the past; At this time, Disla was an absolute dictator, taking pleasure in war, and even after Gamilas's combat power was destroyed by the Yamato, he also raided the Yamato in the last episode, and was almost blasted into cosmic dust. Then, the floating Dezla (Gamilas can survive in the high-radiation environment and the universe, and are super adaptable ==b) is picked up by the White Comet Empire, and the Emperor reveres him as a guest; In Yamato II., Disla continues to lead the fleet to take revenge on the Yamato, but is framed by the Emperor's cronies and imprisoned by the Emperor. After he escaped, he also launched an attack on the Yamato at its most critical moment, almost destroying the Yamato. But when he defeated Gu Jin and was about to win, Sen Xue stopped in front of his gun. Looking at Sen Xue, who was crying and shouting "dear" in ancient times, Disla left without making a move, and when he left, he also told the weakness of the white comet about the ancient times; Then, he went back to worship Gamilas, and fought with the Yamato against the fleet of the Dark Cluster Empire, and after the death of Stathea, whom he had always loved, he was like Mittlidat VI back then, unyielding, leading the fleet to Garuman, the home star of the Gamilas, and seized half of the galaxy from the Bora Federation and began to fight for supremacy.
From then on, it was clear that Dishra was beginning to change. Maybe it was seeing the love between Gu Gu and Mori Xue that made his cold heart begin to introspect. In "Yamato III.", we see for the first time that he is much more tolerant of his subordinates and regards the Yamato as his best ally. However, seeing that he still did not change his reckless character, although Dishra gave him a state guest salute, when the Bora Federation attacked Gamilas, who thought he was impregnable, with ultra-long-range missiles, causing great damage, he still solemnly warned Disla: The rule established by force will never last long, and will one day be overthrown by stronger force. Disla didn't really grasp what he meant; Sure enough, a year later, the Deenkiel Empire razed Garuman Gamilas to the ground, and Dishra went into exile again. At the critical moment when the Yamato was pursued by the Deenkiel fleet, Disla led the fleet to kill the Yamato, and for the first time for the sake of the Earth, the Deenkiel fleet was annihilated.
"See? Darlan! Teenager of the Earth...... The flower that just made it bloom with blood! Can't let that flower die innocently...... Super Disla Cannon Launch! ”
"This is the last time we see each other. In ancient times, I didn't want the earth to be ruined. I'm in my way, go ahead! ”
After the end of "Yamato", Disla should also return to Garuman and rebuild his home with the remnants of the people, right? This man will never be defeated. After countless failures, Disla should have already reflected; The new country he built would be a more peaceful one: people believed in it when they saw his changes.
President Disla, so handsome~~~~~
When watching "Yamato", I often sigh like this: "Ah, it turns out that the scene in that anime is paying tribute to this scene in the Yamato!" "- Indeed, the status of "Yamato" in the Japanese animation industry is too high, too famous, and too widespread. Almost all spoofed works will do it, and works that are not spoofs will sometimes be a little bit more involved. Countless famous scenes of "Yamato" have all been spoofed, and after watching "Yamato", if you look at those spoof works, you will feel that things that you didn't feel before can now make people laugh: "There are XXX days before the destruction of the earth", Mori Yuki's famous quote "I won't say goodbye", the furnishings in the first bridge of the Yamato, the appearance of the wave engine and the wave cannon, and the famous line in the battle "The engine is 120%!" And "The third bridge is broken!" (The Yamato's third bridge is already a "famous" allusion, almost every time there is a big battle, the third bridge will be "broken" once, and then restored to its original state before the next battle; Matsumoto later made a special note in "New Yamato": "This time the third bridge has been specially strengthened!" ”); There is also the shape of the White Comet Empire...... It's hard to list them all. There are countless works that have spoofed "Yamato", and almost every work of GAINAX has been done, even the animation of "Hanayoukyo Maid Team" will mention "cosmic cleaner" and "148,000 light years"; But the most ruthless is "ExcelSaga", and the entire 22nd episode is all crazy spoofs of "Yamato" (by the way, I also did Gundam and Harlock and Ameladas), and I almost died of laughter when I watched it.
Panorama of the first bridge of the Yamato. Doesn't it sound familiar?
How many animations have ever imitated or Kuso this......
Another point to mention is the names of the people in "Yamato". After reading the previous introduction, some people may have seen that the surnames of most people are either from the new writing group or from the Warring States: "Okita" XIII, the commander of the Earth Defense Fleet "Hijikata" Ryu, the space cavalry captain "Saito" in "Yamato II", and the captain's surname "Shannan"; More from the Sengoku period: Daisuke "Shima", Yuki "Mori", Shiro "Sanada", Hikozaemon "Tokugawa", Commander of the Earth Defense "Fujido" Heikuro...... In fact, the strongest is the name Isgandar: Iskander is the name of the savior in Iranian mythology, and it is also one of Alexander the Great's most popular nicknames, and the Asians he conquered called him so, and he has been called it for more than a thousand years, so "Yamato" used this name to name the planet that can save the earth......
("Yamato" is not a hard sci-fi.) There are a lot of things that are not very recognizable in its setting (in fact, the fact that a battleship flies in the universe is very recognizable enough)...... In order to catch up with the fashion of the time, the ship's crew wore bell bottoms, and those strange battleships, although they provided a lot of room for imagination for future generations of sci-fi animation, but some of them were just too hilarious...... )
Gamilas is a two-in-two three-stage air carrier, and the plane enters from the right and exits from the left
Gamilas fights the empty mother.
Super design...... After the flight deck is turned over, there is the turret
Other than that...... What's especially powerful is that in "Yamato III", countries around the world have successively built their own space warships:
Space Battleship: The Prince of Wales!
Space Battleship Arizona!
Space battleship Bismarck!
…… Then, if you continue to dig up the shipwreck...... Space submarine Kursk! The cosmic ironclad ship is far away! Hooray yes...... XD……

This "Space Battleship Yamato" is the original OP song of "Yamato", and the next three TV versions have used this song as an OP song, and it is often used as an insert song in each "Yamato". This song is the only anime song selected in the top 100 of the "Most Classic Songs of the 20th Century" by NHK, and this alone shows that even today, "Yamato" has a status in the hearts of the Japanese. Just as this song encapsulates the romantic spirit of "Yamato", its selection also represents another aspect of "Yamato": nostalgia. In the ED of Space Battleship Yamato III, it appears first Statsia and then Tilisa, followed by Stasia and Sathia's mother and daughter; At that time, I couldn't help but sigh: it already has capital nostalgia! - Now, twenty years of fermentation is enough to make this myth firmly rooted in the hearts of those young people, and even now it has not faded; Animation in the 7 and 80s is like this, just like what is said in "Mobile Battleship", the animation makers at that time were full of enthusiasm and sincerity to make animation, and this feeling is overflowing, filling every corner of the screen or screen.
The series of "Yamato", which ended in "Yamato: The End", was a very wise decision, because the plot of "Yamato" was almost at the end of the tunnel; But by the end of the 90s, a new generation of young people began to watch animation, and the young people of that year became their fathers, and their thinking began to change; If there is a new work of "Yamato", then for them, this is not simply a continuation of "Yamato" back then, but a time and space gate that makes them nostalgic for that youth. Indeed, looking back now, even if you don't have the experience of watching it back then, you can feel the romance and enterprising spirit that belongs to that era; This spirit is now hard to find. After watching the series of anime of "Yamato", this feeling of nostalgia naturally sprouts in my heart, even if it is just a little looking back, I feel a lot of emotion in my heart. Even though this project was later aborted, when I saw the "New Yamato" manga by Ryshi Matsumoto, the descendants of Koshijin and Mori Xue thousands of years later, a kind of irrepressible emotion suddenly came up-
In other words, the cash cow of "Space Battleship Yamato" is a treasure mountain that can make a lot of money even today.

Friends who have been buying anime information in the past few years should remember that in 2000, Matsumoto Ryshi once announced a huge plan, which was to make a sequel to "Yamato", called "New Space Battleship Yamato". The plot of the comic book that he first serialized under this name and the setting announced at the time are roughly: 3199 AD, the Dark Queen led the mechanized man (メタノイド!!) Thousands of years ago, the children and grandchildren of the crew of the Yamato followed in the footsteps of their ancestors (who all looked exactly like their ancestors) and re-boarded the remodeled "Great Yamato" to fight the Dark Queen...... However, there was no follow-up after this plan.
In fact, behind this matter, there are a lot of things involved. The earliest thing to do is to go back to 1996: like Tezuka back then, Nishizaki Yoshizhan also owned the company, but the company was also poorly managed; Because of the huge deficit, in December 1996, Nishizaki Yoshitsu sold the copyright of "Yamato" for 450 million yen (!) ) was sold to the Northeast News Agency; Nishizaki then declared bankruptcy in February 1997. But soon, Yoshinoshi Nishizaki was arrested for violating the "Gun and Sword Possession Law" (hiding M16 at home...... The old man is very strong). When he was imprisoned, Tohoku Shinsha began to cooperate with BANDAI to produce the PS game of "Yamato"; Yoshizuki Nishizaki protested (no part of him...... However, the Northeast News Agency did not spend so much money to buy copyrights in vain), and filed a lawsuit; However, the 2001 verdict declared Tohoku Shinsha and BANDAI in favor of the lawsuit, so there are the few PS games we see in "Yamato" (except for these PS games and the PS2 games that have just been released, "Yamato" has only had two adaptations on GB and PC).
When he started working on "Yamato", Nishizaki Yoshisho's title was "Planning, Original Project, Production, and Chief Conductor", while Matsumoto Ryshi's title was "Original Production, General Design, and Supervision"; Such a division of labor, if the two of them work together, will naturally produce a high degree of efficiency, but it also brings a problem, that is, the copyright of "Yamato" will be confused. Once two people want to fight, it is very troublesome; The setting of this "new Yamato" announced by Matsumoto Zeroshi in 2000, it is particularly important to note that the enemy of this work is the "mechanized man" - this is the strongest enemy in Matsumoto's own "big universe" world! In addition, in his "Cosmic Warrior Zero", the intelligent machine qì person on the "Fire Dragon" is almost exactly the same as Anaresha. Matsumoto has long said that he will unify most of his works into a single worldview during his lifetime; It is clear that the "Yamato" is also part of the large universe he envisioned. On January 25, 2002, when Matsumoto celebrated his 63rd birthday, he made this plan clear; At that time, it was envisaged that the TV version of the "New Yamato" would be broadcast in the fall of 2002.
This is the end credits of "Galaxy Railway 999Eternal Fantasy".
999, Arcadia, Queen Amilaldas......... Yamato?!
However, Yamamoto almost immediately retorted. He published a very unceremonious article announcing that the copyright of the Yamato belonged to Nishizaki Yoshizan. Immediately afterwards, Nishizaki Yoshinoshi himself published a series of "letters from prison" on the Internet, insisting on his copyright to "Yamato". Nishizaki Yoshino's body deteriorated in prison, and since 1999, he has suffered from paralysis of the lower limbs - after all, he is almost 70 years old——, he has adopted an adopted son, and since 2001 he has been planning his own sequel to "Yamato", called "Space Battleship Yamato: Resurrection", according to Nishizaki, "Yamato" is what he has paid the most in his life, and this resurrection chapter is his last animation......
It should be noted here that the classification of copyright under Japanese law. Copyright is divided into "personality rights" and "property rights"; "Personality rights" include the author's right to publish the work for the first time, the right of authorship, and the "right to maintain identity" – no one can change the content of the work without the author's permission. "Personality rights" are not transferable; As for "property rights", in simple terms, it is the right to use works to make money, including the right of publication, the right of screening, and the right of display...... etc., are transferable. Nishizaki Yoshizhan sold the property rights of "Yamato" to Tohoku Shinsha, so Tohoku Shinsha wanted to adapt it into a game or come up with a DVD or Nishizaki had no right to intervene; And if Tohoku Shinsha wants to do something like Matsumoto, it is infringing on Nishizaki's personality rights, not to mention that Matsumoto did not "buy the copyright of "Yamato" - of course, this means that if the copyright does not belong to Matsumoto Ryshi.
Since 2000, Ryōshi Matsumoto and Yoshizan Nishizaki have been claiming to be the original author of "Yamato" to each other, and have complained to each other again and again. In the middle of 2002, Matsumoto took Nishizaki to court again; Because of these lawsuits, as long as "Yamato" is mentioned now, the words "copyright" must be indispensable with it. The two people who cooperated to complete this legend back then are now fighting for power in the law, which cannot but be said to be a kind of sadness. The following year, on March 25, 2003, the Tokyo District Court ruled that the court rejected Matsumoto's claim and awarded the copyright to Nishizaki because he had made a major contribution from planning to supervision. In this way, "New Yamato" was naturally impossible, and at the same time, Nishizaki Yoshisho also officially announced the project of "Yamato: Resurrection Chapter" on the Internet.
However, it's not over yet. In fact, there are very few people who know the story behind the scenes, and until now, there are still many people who believe that Matsumoto created "Yamato", and some websites even say that "Yamato" was adapted from Matsumoto's manga (Matsumoto's manga came out after the first TV version). After all, Matsumoto is in charge of the "general setting", and his aesthetic style is so strong that if a person doesn't know anything about it, he will immediately think that Matsumoto is the maker. Although Nishizaki Yoshisho declared in court arguments that "Matsumoto was invited only to arouse the audience's interest in the work", it is undeniable that "Yamato" would never have been successful without Matsumoto's images and settings. Moreover, what about the famous color pictures and other derivatives that Matsumoto Ryshi painted on the theme of Yamato? None of this was answered in the ruling.
"Remembrance of Isgandar" was released on October 6. This is a money-making plan belonging to the Tohoku News Agency and BANDAI.
After the Tokyo District Court ruled against Matsumoto, Matsumoto continued to appeal to the High Court. On July 29, 2003, Matsumoto and Nishizaki finally reached a settlement on the issue of the right to control the zuò. On August 6, the Northeast News Agency immediately responded, emphasizing that the copyrights of the previous "Yamato" had been bought by them, of course, as long as it could make games, it should be satisfied; In the past few years, for the copyright of "Yamato", one lawsuit after another has been fought, in fact, all disputes can be summed up in one word: money. As I said earlier, "Yamato" is still a cash cow, and all parties are holding on to it for the sake of profit, and the reconciliation between Matsumoto and Nishizaki reflects this: it makes no sense for anyone to continue to spend time in the court, and Nishizaki Yoshinoshi is eager to make "Resurrection Chapter", and Matsumoto Ryshi has also announced a new project "Daiwa Yamato Zero".
The settlement between the parties is roughly as follows:
1. Two people do their own thing, do not interfere with each other, and the release time is determined through negotiation.
2. The parties waive their previous lawsuit at the same time as this settlement.
3. The two parties shall not exercise the copyright rights of each other with respect to the new work, and shall not recognize the copyright dispute over the derivative film of the new work in the future, and shall negotiate with each other to develop and utilize the periphery of the new work.
4. Derivative works are considered joint authorship of both parties, but only Nishizaki Yoshizhan can exercise the copyright rights. The two of them have the copyright to supervise, set, and design their own paintings, but Nishizaki must indicate that Matsumoto is the designer and designer of the new work.
5. Matsumoto Zeroshi may not use the character setting design in the derivative work of "Yamato" or other works to create a new work. However, Matsumoto's unique or unique design (style, style, touch, etc.) is not subject to this restriction.
After the reconciliation was reached, we saw Matsumoto's "Yamato Zero", the faces of all the characters were still the same faces, and the supervisor of "The Ending" was invited to be the overseer, but the appearance of the Yamato has changed a lot, and at the same time, all the settings and plots have been replaced with new ones, which have nothing to do with the old "Yamato". In contrast, Nishizaki's "Resurrection Chapter" is set 20 years after the "Ending Chapter" of that year (exactly 20 years later in the real world), and the new Yamato will still fight for the peace of mankind, and the protagonist is the daughter of Kosuru and Moriyuki; The theatrical version, which cost 2.5 billion yen, is expected to be released in the summer of 2006. As Nishizaki himself said, this is his last animation; After this, if he wants to do something more, with his age and health, I'm afraid it's impossible......
Nishizaki did the Yamato resurrection chapter......
VS Matsumoto's Yamato Zero......
- However, one can't help but ask: Can it still be called "Yamato" without Matsumoto Zeroshi's "Yamato"? Although the copyright belongs to Yoshizan Nishizaki, his ability to act as an overseer is not guaranteed. The failure of "Cosmic Void Mother Blue Noah" is a good proof of this; "Yamato" from the first TV version to II and III., it should be said that Nishizaki's personal style is becoming more and more obvious, but the animation is also getting weaker and weaker. Animation is always a collective act: while Nishizaki has always believed that only he can carry out the true spirit of Yamato, it is Matsumoto's graphics and characters that are the biggest attraction to the audience. Moreover, this "Resurrection Chapter" sells nostalgia; Today's younger generation has heard of the prestige of the Yamato, but it is impossible for them to have the same nostalgia as their generation. Now, without Matsumoto Zeroshi, he's still competing under the name Yamato – even if Nishizaki stakes the rest of his life on Resurrection, the question is, will the audience buy him?
In August this year, when I went to see the Beijing Military Expo Comic Con, I went to see it with my friends, and I was fortunate to see the color picture of the first theatrical version of the poster of Stasia and Yamato hand-painted by Matsumoto Ryshi in the part of the display of famous works (the picture at the beginning of this article); Looking at the famous pictures lined up with Captain Harlock, Medtier, and Emeraldas, and truly unfolding in front of my eyes, the excitement at that time was almost inexpressible. A few days ago, I just saw the news again, on October 6, the 30th anniversary of the screening of "Yamato", Tohoku Shinsha and BANDAI jointly launched a new game "Remembrance to Isgandar" on PS2. The Northeast News Agency has all the copyrights of the old work, and this game will definitely set off a new wave of nostalgia and get good results, right? - Today, the old "Yamato" series is still being rebroadcast on Japanese television, regardless of what it will be, after all, Matsumoto Ryshi and Nishizaki Yoshinoshi have also begun to work on their own sequels.
Thirty years have passed since 1974, and more than 20 years have passed between us and the last theatrical version in 1983. Twenty years later, we are finally about to see the Yamato launch again, sailing to the distant sea of stars; In this new century, what kind of history will "Yamato" create, and open up a new space for development in the memories of the 70s and the sight of the 90s? After all, with a year and a half to go until the summer of 2006, we've been given enough patience to wait for these two new sequels to appear. - Yes, the familiar dark blue shadow will sail in the infinite sea of stars again, just thinking about this makes my heart full of infinite passion. The myth of "Yamato" is not over yet, a new voyage and a new story will unfold in a new universe. Let's look forward to it. I look forward to the new anime named Yamato, and I look forward to seeing again the journey of dreams and hopes that has been interpreted by the "Space Battleship Yamato" for generations, and the new future that will be created in that journey.
In other words, tomorrow seems to be the release day of the final chapter of "Space Battleship Yamato 2199"!
