Active beautiful high school students! Interview with rookie voice actress Hanamaru Miriyu

Every year, a large number of newcomers emerge in the Japanese voice actor industry, and for this reason, the Japanese media specially produced a program called "New Voice Actor Illustrated Guide". The show interviews and reports on some of the most promising rookie voice actors, to understand the behind-the-scenes stories of their entry into the industry, and their prospects for the future. In the latest issue of the "Rookie Voice Actor Guide", we will introduce Yumiri Hanamomoru, who has performed well in works such as "Ganzhi Soul" (Gua Zai Service) and "THEROLLINGGIRLS" (Miyozono Senaya Service).

Q: When I looked at the photos you posted on your website, I feel that my hair is much longer than in the past.

Hanamamoru: Before I knew it, it grew so long (laughs). I used to cut my hair once for school activities, but I think I can take on all kinds of challenges if I have long hair. Before I cut my hair, it was waist-high. That's why once you cut your hair and make it short, you feel very lonely (laughs).

Q: What are the activities of the school?

Hanamoru: Be a cheerleader for the sports festival. I joined the tennis club, but I joined the cheerleading team with my seniors.

Q: Ms. Yumisato is still a high school student. So are you used to taking pictures?

Hanamamoru: Well, I'm not very good at it...... My friends are very photogenic, but I'm always called a "weird-face expert" (laughs). I didn't do it consciously, but I don't know why I ended up like this (laughs).

Q: (laughs). Yumisato's name is very rare. So what's your nickname?

Hanamomoru: I don't have a specific name for this, do you...... FOR EXAMPLE, "YUMIRIN" OR SOMETHING? My school friend once called "YUMIRINGO" (laughs) because I felt like I was seeing a flamingo. The current appearance of the NICONICO program "ぽにきゃんぜん部! My nickname is "YUMIMI". This was played by Miss Rii Murakawa during the broadcast of "Ganzhi Soul". That's why I like snacks and carbonated juice, so that's why I called it (laughs). Of course, I don't drink, I'm still a high school student (laughs).

Q: The Ganzhi Soul Radio is a webcast based on the anime "Ganzhi Soul", which was launched in the spring of this year. And in addition to you and Miss Murakawa, there is also Miss Eriko Matsui as the host.

Hanamamoru: Every broadcast is a lot of fun, after all, we aim for "the noisiest radio in Japan" (laughs). Even though the three of us had a good job assignment, I felt like I didn't know what was going to happen on the radio every time (laughs).

Q: This anime is also worth looking forward to (laughs). In addition, in the currently airing "THEROLLINGGIRLS", you also played the role of Chiya Mizono. At present, the dubbing work has been carried out in depth. So what is the atmosphere like in the dubbing scene?

Hanamamoru: Every guest voice actor is luxurious, and all of them are heavyweight seniors. Therefore, I feel very nervous every time, but it is easier to show my acting skills. After all, it's an original story, so there's a feeling that everyone is making an animation together, which is rare! I performed with the idea that I wanted to be a great anime.

Q: Chiya is a 16-year-old girl, almost the same age as 17-year-old Miss Hanamamoru. So when performing, do you have any more persistent points?

Hanamomoru: She seems a little clumsy in the way she speaks, but she can still say things that she thinks about seriously and wants to express. So, every word she says is carefully thought out. That's why when I'm performing, I always feel like I'm going to jump from this position (to my chest). I care about the emotions that come naturally from within. In other words, it's better to rely on intuition than to think (laughs)!

Q: The four main characters also sang the theme song and interlude under the name THEROLLINGGIRLS.

Hanamamoru: It's a chorus of THEBLUEHEARTS. For example, the lyrics of the ending song "月の爆撃機" give me a kind of "Ah~ I can understand!" In this way, I can't help but feel a feeling of resonance in my heart. When I sing, my feelings are also involved. Of course, it resonates, but the lyrics are definitely not something I can come up with, and although the lyrics themselves are not very positive and cheerful, they always make people feel very happy, which is incredible.

Q: Did you talk about anything with the other three people during the dubbing?

Hanamamoru: Ozawa Lee-chan was sitting right next to me, so we both hung out there a lot (laughs). And she often says, "Qianya is a difficult character to express", and then discusses acting problems with me. And Ah Lee Chan – ah, please allow me to call her Ah Lee Chan (laughs) – she told me that some of the characters make you feel natural, and some of them require you to have an idea about the character. Overall, Chiaya-chan belongs to the former, so she likes this character too (laughs).

Q: What is the content of the small talk?

Hanamamoru: Last year, we said "It's almost Christmas," and we exchanged gifts. I happened to be using water-colored headphones, so I asked, "Do you want one too?" Then she said she wanted a pink or white one, so I bought one for her (laughs).

Q: What was the gift that Ms. Hanamoru received?

Hanamamoru: I got a super cute pajamas! I wore it as soon as I got it (laughs). It was a soft outfit with the image of a drop of water, a pair of shorts, and a hat, so it was very warm to wear (laughs).

Q: You have a good relationship (laughs). Speaking of which,Miss Hanamori's opportunity to become a voice actress should be "ぽにきゃん声たま audition",So have you seen any anime before?

Hanamamoru: I've been watching late-night anime since I was a sophomore. Then my friend said, "You should be a voice actor~", which is not uncommon, but I began to realize the problem. I didn't have acting experience, so when I got the role in "AIURA", I realized how important it is to stand in front of the microphone and how to use acting.

Q: What is the most nervous thing about the dubbing scene?

Hanamamoru: Well, when I was dubbing "AIURA", I had a stomach growling non-stop...... I thought I couldn't make a sound, but I ended up making a noise instead (laughs). Because I was so nervous, I guess the staff noticed it~ (laughs) At this time, Miss Yumi Uchiyama, who voiced the teacher, gave me a rice ball, and then I became obsessed with her unilaterally (laughs).

Q: (laughs) After that, you've been training for voice actors until today.

Hanamomoru: Last year, I went to the training center to practice various skills. Since then, he has continued to take courses to strengthen his voice actor skills and acting skills. I still find it difficult to pronounce and flam.

Q: So what was the hardest part?

Hanamomoru: I'm not good at kanji and writing. Once you see too many words, you often can't keep up with the rhythm when reading the lines. Therefore, after I get the lines, I will memorize the lines as much as possible and then go to the scene.

Q: So what anime did you watch?

Hanamamoru: Actually, I like Yokai Watch very much right now (laughs). Before I became a voice actor, I loved LEVEL5's work! Like "Inazuma Eleven", "Paper War" or something is good. Maybe I prefer the kind of easy-to-understand royal road plot. Recently, I've been watching works like "The Psychometrician" and "Tokyo Aftermath" that make you wonder what justice is. These works are full of foreshadowing, and I feel the perseverance and belief of the makers.

Q: Do you have any roles you want to play?

Hanamaru: Among the works of LEVEL5, I really like the Shojun of Endo in "Inazuma Eleven". When I was an elementary school student, I worked hard to get into junior high school, but I still watched Shojun on TV every week, which really made me happy. That attitude of being able to move forward no matter what happened saved me. In addition, the same is true of Ash in "Pokemon", who is unstoppable. I feel like they've all helped me a lot.

Q: Have you ever watched an anime with friends and family at school?

Hanamamoru: I often tell my sister about anime (laughs). But we think differently, so I think we have a fight all the time (laughs). Unlike me, my sister is very talkative, but she doesn't seem cute at times (laughs).

Q: Even so, my agent told me that you often go karaoke with your sister (laughs).

Hanamamoru: We do often go to karaoke together~ After all, we both love VOCALOID tunes, and my sister in particular is a big fan of the Mayfly Days series, so we sang those songs over and over again for 4 hours (laughs). If you're tired halfway through, just hum it, treat the soundtrack as BGM, and eat something (laughs).

Q: What does Ms. Hanamaru like?

Hanamamoru: I like Mr. Hachi, who also sings songs under the name of Yonezu Genshi. I think he has a unique view of the world in his songs. Each song has a different key, and it's hard to sing his songs, but it's fun. It also gave me a good stimulus. I feel like I've improved my feelings, so I guess it helped me improve my acting skills.

Q: At this point in the interview, could you tell us about your vision for the future? So what are your goals as a voice actor?

Hanamamoru: Ms. Junko Takeuchi has played roles like Yendo-kun and Naruto, which I really like, and it would be great if I could be like her and convey important things to others through her acting skills. I also get motivation by watching animation. When I want to express something, I want to be able to express it with my acting skills. Even as an ordinary person, I want to be more reliable and make the people around me feel at ease.

Also, I'm going to try as many things as I can with voice acting as a center. I also discussed this with my father, and now there are many voice actors who are excellent at singing, dancing, and everything, so it would be nice for me to be such a person. I also hope to open up a new path in my job as a voice actor. If I can do that, I think it will give more dreams to those who want to become voice actors in the future. To do that, I have to keep working hard (laughs).

Q: Speaking of which, about 1 year ago, you wrote "Dream of the Future: Becoming a Bride" on your bio, has it changed now......?

Hanamamoru: Ah, that...... After all, a marriage ceremony is a girl's dream (laughs). Be a bride and walk in the hall of the wedding ceremony in a wedding dress to make your parents feel at ease...... This mood is stored zĂ i. It's not easy for my parents to support me as a voice actor, so I want to thank them...... So shy...... (blushing)

Q: Finally, would you like to say a few words to the readers?

Hanamomoru: I'm too immature to be a voice actor or a voice actor, but I hope I can become a voice actor who will more or less impress everyone! If you can, please continue to support me in the future.

Q: Thank you for your time today!
