DENKI FIGHTINGCLIMAX INTERVIEW
Dengeki Fightingclimax, a fighting game that brings together many of Dengeki Bunko's popular characters, has attracted the attention of many fans since its launch. Recently, the home version of the game was officially launched. Taking this opportunity, some Japanese media conducted an exclusive interview with the game's producer, Nonaka, director Terada, and the game's support group "Dengeki FIGHTINGGIRLS". Here are some excerpts:
Q: Today we are celebrating the release of the home version, how do you feel about it?
Terada: The arcade version was released around March, and we had some national conventions. Now that I'm finally able to launch a home version, for me personally, it's definitely a combination of things, and it's very emotional. In the future, some additional elements of the home version will also be reflected in the arcade, but for now, I think we can put an end to our efforts for the time being.
Nonaka: To be honest, I wasn't too aware of the upcoming release until this week...... The arcade version has already been released, and there are many types of goods that have already been released, so I think it's all normal. But when it came time to go on sale, I couldn't help but think, "It's finally on sale." "I just went to the fourth floor to see the arcade version of the tournament, and I felt that it was great to have a game that players could experience on both arcade and home consoles. And today, I finally have a real feeling.
Q: From the perspective of fans of the original game, what do you think are the highlights of the game?
Ashizawa: I cosplayed "Xana". Obviously, I like Xana so much that I use her as well. However, she is originally a combat character, so it is fun enough to be able to recreate the battle scene in the game. And the game has added the trick of "decisive battle mystery", which makes me sigh "There can still be such a plot", and I realized the charm of the work. Also, about Xana, I love the look on her face when she yells "I'm sick of it, I'm sick of it". Isn't it exciting to be able to see the details of this character?
Takahashi: I really like Kirito's look. My support character is Rinya Orihara, and he can recreate the stunts from the original game, and when I tweet it, my fans will say, "That's the trick." This signature trick is clear to everyone at a glance and looking forward to it.
Q: What is the current status of this work?
Terada: Judging by the number of reservations, the market is very good.
Nonaka: We've received quite a lot of reservations, and everyone is wondering, "Is there going to be a little less stock?" "However, users can also buy the download version, so no matter which version you have, you can have fun.
Terada: As long as you install it, you can play it quickly and easily, both in physical and download. So if it's sold out, please be sure to choose the download version. If you go to the PlayStation Store, there are also PS3 theme types, and I hope you can have fun.
Nonaka: To our surprise, there are a lot of people who choose the PSV version. We didn't deliberately make the game look like a good fit for the PSV platform. For those who play in the arcade, you may want to try your own combination in the train.
Terada: If you memorize your combinations in training mode, you will definitely want to study "how to make your combinations" and "what are the weaknesses of your combinations". It should be easy to do research with a handheld computer, right? After all, it's very convenient.
Nonaka: I think there are a lot of customers who are new to the game because of the home version. I had seen the arcade version get a lot of attention before, so I thought, "It's nice to be loved by everyone." And the home version of Tong Guò will add a new group of fans and hear more of their opinions, which is also very fresh...... I think, "The tide is here again!" "Well.
Q: This question may have been asked by many people, but there will be some additional characters in the home version, so are there many people who want these characters to be added to the arcade version?
Nonaka: I think it's going to be released sooner than you think. Whether it's a support character or a boss character, we hope that everyone will have a chance to get started soon. For example, "one pass" is a character that everyone often uses. And there should be a lot of people who want to be able to use this corner on the arcade **? Then we need to meet everyone's needs and make everyone's play more lively.
Terada: Some people asked, "Will the characters in the home version conflict with the arcade in terms of the balance of attribute settings?" "But don't worry, when we make zuò, we have people practice at home, go to the game center to play arcades, and even participate in tournaments where they can show their strengths." So there is no change to the balance.
Q: I also think that one side is very strong, so will the feedback from players through the home version of Guò make you adjust these characters when you add these characters in the arcade version?
Terada: Indeed, there may be a lot of people who say that this character is too strong. But we haven't made any adjustments.
Nonaka: Regarding the additional characters in the home version, we didn't think of it as a player benefit, but "If it was stronger, everyone would probably use this corner**?" So in the end, I adjusted the balance with this idea. From the very beginning, we felt that the three additional characters in the home version were too strong, but in the end, we managed to achieve a certain amount of coordination.
Q: Can you tell us about the charm of the characters added to the home version?
Terada: Riya has a lot of popularity among women, so we thought that we could make good use of his handsome moves. Supposedly, aren't all support characters our companions? However, if this character is faced with a powerful attack in front of him, he will shout "scared to death, scared to death", and then run away. Although it's the type that helps the character fight, sometimes I really don't know if he's an enemy or a companion. And the atmosphere is also very interesting. In addition, the combination of him and Shizuo is also very interesting, you can pay attention to the relationship between the two.
Dokuro-chan will constantly throw sticks out, leaving enemies covered in blood. It's fun, but more importantly, she's very practical. Whether it's a combination from a distance or at close range, you can use the corresponding techniques, and although there is no conclusion on which move is more praised, when she uses her third technique, "PIPRUPI", there will be unexpected moves, which is also a highlight. Of course, each character has its own unique interests.
Nonaka: These three characters were not intended to be made at first, and they were not pushed out until the arcade version was released. When it comes to which characters to add, the three of them have the highest voice. So we added as many elements as we could, adjusted the schedule, and finally put them in the home version.
Terada: Since we decided to include these characters, we had to prepare a lot of things, including materials for the drawings. In addition, the recording schedule of the characters is also very tight. But then we thought, "Since all the passages are out, let's join the final work?" "It's kind of giving back to the users, and we're doing a good job.
Nonaka: The voice actor for the final work is Miss Rina Hidaka. And she had just finished recording Lan Yuan Yeonzhu a week before the dubbing, so we asked her again: "I'm sorry, please use the voice of 'The Last Work' to record it again this time." So he let her run again. It's a subtle feeling that a popular voice actor comes to record every week (laughs).
Also, the voice actress of Dokuro-chan, Miss Saeko Chiba, has also voiced this character again for the first time in a long time. And she performed with love from early in the morning, which made me sigh: "Miss Chiba is really amazing~"
When it comes to adding characters, it's also important to consider whether or not to pair them with existing characters. You can't just cram a character into it. Therefore, it takes a lot of effort to balance both the performance and the game. It's still hard.
Q: What would you think about holding the contest in the future?
Terada: I think the organizers are very user-friendly, and they are very careful about the atmosphere and cosplay at the time of entry, so it's a "user-oriented" contest. If the next tournament is held, I don't think we can deviate from this philosophy. I hope to hold it again!
Nonaka: I wish I could do it again! I don't know when it will be, but I'm interested in the feedback from players on the home version. Back in August, we saw players fully demonstrate their character's charm. And at the next conference, I believe that there will be a lot of home version players to join, and then there will be a festive atmosphere.
Terada: Next time, the guests of the home version will come to cheer for us, so maybe we will see a more lively scene.
Nonaka: But what if everyone stops playing? I'm a little nervous about this (laughs).
Ashizawa: During this time, we also want to participate in the war and the conference...... But there should be a lot of beginner and intermediate players like us, so it would be nice to have a mini-tournament.
Terada: Let's participate in the next tournament as well.
Nonaka: Me too? (laughs together)
Ten Beams: Personally, I'd like to see a big competition on the COS side.
Nonaka: The level of COS is also very high.
Q: Will there be a women's conference?
Terada: The game itself attracts a lot of female fans, so it would be fun to hold a similar event.
Nonaka: Now that the players of "Dengeki FIGHTINGGIRLS" are already known to players, it would be nice to have more opportunities for you to interact.
Q: So do you have any ideas for a sequel?
Terada: It depends on how you react.
Nonaka: A lot of people say, "I want to manipulate this character," so naturally we want to be able to put out a variety of characters.
Terada: I really want to bring together all the characters from the major libraries and create a "super light novel war". This is my ultimate dream.
Q: Can you give you a few comments at the end?
Takada: I was only introduced to fighting games for the first time with Guò, and now I am full of motivation to become a high-level player who can compete with everyone in the future. I'm going to work with people who are new to the game from now on to make everyone realize how fun this game really is, and I'm going to make an effort to do it. Please advise me at that time.
Tobune: I think it's a work that both veterans and newcomers can have fun. You can also play to your heart's content and face each other in the game center. If this heart can be passed on to everyone, it will be enough.
Takahashi: I'm just a fan (laughs) and I'll share information with you on Twitter.
Ashizawa:I think it's a new beginning, and if you're new to the home version, please try the arcade. "Dengeki Fightinggirls" often go to the game center, so if you meet us, let's talk about it and grow together. Please advise.
Terada: Even though the home version has already been released, you can already practice and have fun with the characters. But that's just the beginning, and we'll do our best to put the home version into the arcade. You can bring the skills honed in the home version to the game center, and if you participate in the competition, we will be able to experience the fun of this festival together. Everyone, enjoy the home and arcade versions of the game, and we'll meet again somewhere.
Nonaka: Overall, this game is a carnival project that will make everyone excited by the many popular characters of Dengeki Bunko. Some people may wonder "Can I also play fighting games?" "But I would like to say that the interaction between the characters and the tiny NETA in the game are a lot of fun and highlights. So let's join this game festival and have fun together. If you play in the game center, we can expand new social circles, and the home version can also be used online, so please join us and make the game even more popular.
