But Yevgeny knew that this view of addiction was wrong from the start.

In a long and empty life, man has never been a stable individual, since the characteristics of biology determine that man has to chase pleasure, and this chase has no rules and restrictions - this is like an irrational number in mathematics, which finally leads to chaos, almost the only outcome. In real numbers, rational numbers are always a minority compared to irrational numbers, and in the same way, in the human realm, people who can still have a high degree of control over themselves in various circumstances will always be a small minority.

Life is too short, and there are too many possibilities for life - there must be a part of the fate of people who will be thrown to the bottom.

Yevgeny once thought that when he was in a state of alcoholism, he was already a typical failure in life, but he did not expect that he was already lucky compared to his son.

When Duff became addicted to drugs, Yevgeny spent almost all of his savings to try various treatment options for him – if it weren't for the lack of money, he would not have traveled all the way from the United States to a small, little-known company in China.
