13 Sculptures

I thought that today's show was probably the same as before, but Wu was old, or he missed the star god too much, so he made things happen again.

If he just sent a few people to Shenshan according to the rules, the king would not have made a special trip for this matter, because there were many people in the Star God Festival, and Wu ordered everyone to hurry, and it was a big winter.

Wu is not a king, he usually only cares about divination and sacrifices, as well as popularizing the rules left by the star gods, and he doesn't really care about many things. Based on the king's experience, this kind of large team of hundreds of people, and the people are all from various tribes, if everyone is dissatisfied with the witch service, it will cause trouble. Don't make it bad, the original good thing becomes a bad thing, and the gain outweighs the loss.

After coming to the sacred mountain, seeing that although everyone was tired, there was nothing wrong with their emotions, and most of the king's worries were relieved. At first, he thought that Wu was embarrassed to see him because of another false alarm, but he heard that he was still looking at the footprints...... That's a bit of a statement.

Witch, strictly speaking, is the witch after the arrival of the star god, unlike those witches of other tribes, sometimes the divination is wrong, and they will forcibly explain a lot to themselves. Probably because he received the direct guidance of the star god, many times he made a mistake in divination, he would openly admit it, but no one questioned Wu with this matter - because Wu predicted the arrival of the star god alone, it had already been decided that he would be a witch of the Jin clan in his life, even if none of his subsequent divinations came true.

Witches of other tribes may be wrong because of a mistake, and they will be wrong and see the wrong footprints, so they will pretend to continue to look at the footprints, pretend to be a ghost, and finally come out to fool people. But there are witches of the Jin clan, especially witches who have been directly affirmed by the star gods, let alone witches.

Now that Wu is still studying the footprints there, it means that there must be some definite clues.

Ignoring the snow outside, the king hurried to the top of the mountain with a torch.

When I arrived at the exit of Mount Kinabashi, I saw more than a dozen people from afar, each of whom lit torches and carefully surrounded a small area. The king leaned over and saw that Wu Zheng was kneeling on the ground in the middle of a small circle of more than a dozen people, and was using the star god to give him paper and a pen, drawing something on the ground.

"It's really the same, like a reflection in the water! Same! Wu suddenly cried out, startling the king.

"What exactly is the same?"

"King? You're here too! Wu excitedly shook the king's hand and shouted loudly, "It's the star god, the star god is really here...... Look, come and see. ”

When the king entered the circle, and the crowd dispersed a little, the king saw a faint footprint on the ground. At the first sight of the footprints, the king was thrilled—it was really the inscription of the star gods stepping on their shoes.

Then he looked at the traces carefully, in this regard, the king did not study the witch profession of the star god all day, the witch took the drawings he had just drawn, a few footprints and handed them to the king to look at carefully-these drawings were collected by him in other places around him before, they were all taken from different parts of the footprints, and all of them were put together to form a complete footprint.

"This must have been left by the Star God, but it's a little strange," Wu pointed to the footprints on the paper, and then turned to the footprints drawn in front of the notebook to explain to the king, "These two footprints are neither Taixingshen's nor Shaoxingshen'......"

"How do you know?"

"The feet of these two star gods are bigger than this...... Wu said, he had noticed this when he created the mural for the star god, but he didn't expect it to play a role now, "It seems to me that this should be a new star god." ”

"The new Star God?"

The king paused, then focused on another important question: "How long ago were these footprints?" ”

"Just for one or two days."

"A day or two?" The king thought it was a little strange - the sentinels didn't notice?

"They weren't on the top of the mountain all day, maybe they missed it, and it just snowed in the past two days, and I found out specifically in these places where there is no snow." Wu pointed to a ditch that opened under the gate—the cave was hot, and meltwater from the top of the mountain often left behind, soaking the nearby soil a little, and the footprints were left on these soft soils.

After returning to the camp at night, Wu took out the backpack left by the star god from the backpack left by the star god, and the talking artifact kept turning on and off. It's been two years, and the battery on the radio has long been exhausted, but Wu still persistently tries, as if the voice of the star god can be heard in the next moment.

Then, in the bright moonlight and snow, Wu began to direct everyone to prepare for the sacrifice.

It turned out that the Wu prepared for this festival was the main output from various ethnic groups, including in addition to the gold that several star gods had expressed great interest in, there were also some animals that the star gods had paid attention to, and there were many tribes that had trading relations with the Jin clan, and the local products they sent, among which there were many carved works with the theme of the star gods.

These carvings are the main factor in this sacrifice, because Wu had heard the star gods talk about it before, saying that after they left, if there is a Jin clan who really wants to express gratitude, they should do something real, don't burn something for them, and they can't receive it, it is best to get something that can be seen, just put it near this sacred mountain, and if they really have time to come and see if there are any new "works" on the edge of the sacred mountain, they will know how their tribe is doing.

Now near the exit of Mount Kinabalu, there are already a lot of sculptures, most of these works are carved from wood, because of the material, now all have moss, not very good-looking, Wu also thought about building a house with wood here, to display these sacrificial supplies, but this project is too large for the Youjin tribe. Dozens of miles around Mount Kinabalu are now unable to find wood that can be cut and used normally.

Of course, Wu also considered whether it was possible to obtain materials nearby, because with many tools sent by the gods, they now had the ability to finely polish and process the stones. It's just that it's a bit far away from the tribe's settlement, and there is no surrounding environment where you can hunt and sustain your life, so if you have to send a few people to carve stones, you have to send a few more people to bring them food and protect their safety......

The most important thing is that until now, Wu has not found a skilled carver to entrust him to do the work. Carving stones, this new memory in the tribe, that is, in the past two years, Wu has supported more than a dozen people at any cost, and these people can't even carve an ordinary small animal, let alone carve a great star god.

So this matter can only be delayed for the time being.

But Wu is full of devotion and nostalgia for the star god, and there are the Jin clan and all the other tribes who have been saved by the star god, but their gratitude cannot but find an outlet, so there is this big sacrifice.

To prevent the wood from corroding, Wu has now learned to paint by mashing a stone from the mountains, mixing it with a kind of gum boiled by insects, and mixing it with some colored plant juice. If it is applied to the surface of the wood carving, it can last for several months, or even years, and if the paint is still repaired from time to time, it may last longer.

Most of the wood carvings used in this festival are protected by this new lacquer, and Wu originally planned to put it for half a year, and if it is effective, he plans to apply for the establishment of a position as a painter, and come over every three months to paint all the statues.

After the sacrificial ceremony began, one after another statues were moved down from the cart, they were large and small, the big ones were as big as a cow, and they were divided into several parts, which were actually put together as sculptures, and after they were put together, they had to be glued together on the spot, and then a shallow pit was dug in the ground, and then the sculptures were half buried in the shallow pit to prevent them from being blown down by the wind. This is also to absorb the previous experience, the wind on the top of the mountain is very strong, and there are a lot of wood carvings before, all of which are blown by the wind, and when it rains, it is completely soaked in muddy water on the ground.

One or two wood carvings were buried, and everyone didn't see it yet, but when the wood carvings were put into place, many people who participated in the big festival also saw the name.

There is an apparent connection between the sculptures, and most of them use several figures to describe a specific event, such as the most famous few-star god killing a big fish. And the placement of the whole sculpture is also very particular, starting from the exit of the sacred mountain all the way outward, this huge wood carving array connects everything that the star god has done to all the tribes after coming here, if there are earthlings coming here, I wonder if this is going to be developed into a professional wood carving exhibition hall.

The only regret is that all the sculptures can only be displayed in the open air due to the limited conditions. Now that the snow has basically stopped, there are still some small snow seeds from time to time, and the whole festival has been a long time to place, and when these works are finally placed, most of the sculptures have a thin white ice shell on the outer layer, which cannot show the original colorful colors of the sculptures.

In order to enjoy the effect, Wu specially decided to put a torch near each sculpture to create light, so that the people can see the content of the sculpture more clearly, and the fire can also roast the snow slightly, so that Wu's artistic achievements in the past six months will not be lost in the darkness and no one appreciates.

After all the sculptures were arranged, Wu began to dance alone, the artistic language of his dance movements was not particularly understood by other tribesmen, but it was still evident that he was constantly simulating himself as an ordinary tribesman in one sculpture story after another, and in the middle of these sculptures, playing the role of the star god. Under his dance, on the wood carving, the faces of the star gods seem to be moving in the jumping firelight, as if they are really talking to the dancing witch and interpreting the storylines in the sculpture.
