It is most easily accepted by the people who are oppressed and oppressed at the bottom to the point that they have become numb.

As a result, Buddhism spread very quickly in Tibet.

The aristocracy of Tibet controlled power through Bon, and he was on a par with Zangpu.

The reason why Songtsen Gampo proposed to the Tang Dynasty was that what he asked for was not peace.

Because for Datang, Tubo is a bitter cold place, a place where rabbits don't poop and pee and don't lay eggs.

As long as Tubo is safe and defends itself, it is absolutely impossible for Datang to attack Tubo.

As long as Tubo himself does not die, Datang is absolutely harmless to them.

In this case, how could Songtsen Gampo ask to marry the princess of the Tang Dynasty for peace?

What Songtsen Gampo is looking for, firstly, is the civilization of the Tang Dynasty, and secondly, it is the support and reputation of the Datang!

With these, he was able to take advantage of the situation to overwhelm those nobles, so that he could better control Tibet.

But unfortunately, his strategy ended in failure.

Moreover, he then ordered Agundin to lead an army of 100,000 to attack the Tang Dynasty.

In the end, the 3,000 vanguard army sent by the Tang Dynasty was beaten to the ground, and even their general Agundin was captured alive by the Tang Dynasty.

After the defeat, Songtsen Gampo not only handed over a letter of guilt to the Tang Dynasty, but also compensated many cattle and sheep.

This battle also caused Songtsen Gampo's prestige in Tibet to plummet, and his rule began to waver.

This made Songtsen Gampo a little tired to cope.

But now, there is actually a high-ranking monk who has come to Tibet to preach Buddhism.

For Songtsen Gampo, this is simply dozing off and someone sends a pillow, which is too timely.

Songtsen Gampo immediately sent someone to take Master Xuanzang to his side.

After meeting Master Xuanzang, Songtsen Gampo was immediately attracted.

After some conversations, Songtsen Gampo became a little fan of Master Xuanzang.

Next, naturally, Songtsen Gampo directly issued an edict to rejuvenate the Buddha.

This edict is called the edict of reviving the Buddha.

Second, it is to order the construction of Jokhang Temple and Jokhang Temple.

Jokhang Temple is the center of Tibetan Buddhism.

At that time, the eminent monks of all India came out to debate with Master Xuanzang, but in the end, Master Xuanzang won easily.

In this debate, there was no surprise, and Master Xuanzang won a big victory.

Many Bon disciples, after seeing Master Xuanzang's demeanor, couldn't help but take it away.

Then he threw himself into the embrace of Buddhism.

After this debate, Buddhism flourished in Tibet.

And Songtsen Gampo, through Buddhism, further suppressed the Tibetan aristocracy and further centralized power.

If you give Songtsen Gampo a little time, with Songtsen Gampo's ability, you can easily concentrate all the power in your own hands.

However, in this history, Songtsen Gampo has just experienced a major defeat.

The 100,000 soldiers and horses led by Agundin were all descendants of Songtsen Gampo.

In the Battle of Songzhou, as many as 30,000 or 40,000 people were buried at once.

This greatly reduced the prestige of Songtsen Gampo.

This also made the Tibetan nobles extremely dissatisfied with Songtsen Gampo's behavior.
