Chapter 128: Pragmatism and Righteousness (I)

"The son is Yan Yuan said, use it to do it, give it up and hide it, only I have a husband."

This title is indeed very correct, and it is a "whole chapter question", that is, the entire chapter of the book is written in its entirety. This chapter is from the Analects of Analects, which is the seventh chapter of the Analects.

As we all know, the Analects is a book in the form of quotations, which is the words of Confucius's re-disciples to recall Confucius and some of Confucius's great disciples.

The title itself is very simple, it is what Confucius said to his best student, Yan Yuan (Minghui), which means: When the state uses you, you will display your talents and ideas according to your own talents, and implement your own ideas; When the country doesn't use you, you put away your ideas and ideas. It seems that only you and I have such cultivation and style to be able to do this naturally and frankly.

Although Confucius's words seem simple, we must first understand the meaning of his words before we can talk about how to solve the problem.

What did he mean? To understand this passage in reverse: ordinary people lack knowledge, have no ideas for anything, or are not firm enough even if they have ideas, or have other concerns, even if they are used by the state, they will not be able to exert themselves and make achievements, then they cannot talk about "doing".

This "line" is understood with a highly pragmatic modern thinking as giving full play to its talents and realizing its political propositions.

Then there must be at least three prerequisites for this: one is to have correct political views; The second is to have propositions that have been practiced, are indeed beneficial to people and society, and can conform to objective reality and work; The third is to have the ability and conditions to implement and realize these ideas; In the end, there must be a "Jun", which is a prerequisite for the prerequisite, because without this "Jun", who will use you?

If there is no "king" to use you, then you can only "give it up and hide it". In Gao Shishi's view, Confucius's sentence "If you give it up, you will hide" is actually the common emotion of Confucius and Yanzi at that time, and it is a helpless frank expression, and the two comfort each other.

However, the extended meaning of this sentence had a great influence on later generations of Confucianism: that is, it can not only "use it", but also "give it up".

The hope of "doing" is pinned on the "use" of the Confucians, rather than on the self-struggle of the Confucians, or even on the election, self-expression, self-propaganda, expanding influence, and winning over the masses.

And if you don't use it, it's "abandonment", what if you are "abandoned"? You can only "hide", that is, eliminate personal ambitions, even if you are talented, you must be able to keep to yourself and "hide".

Okay, now that the original meaning of Confucius's words and Confucius's "implication of words" are clear, we can start to think about how to solve the problem.

According to the fixed format of the system, if you can only write two sentences to summarize and analyze the topic at the beginning, this is the so-called "problem solving". This is the most important and crucial item of righteousness. Whether an article is good or not, the first look at the problem, if the pattern of the problem is not enough, the idea is shallow, the latter part of the article can be directly disread.

So what exactly is problem solving? The inscription is easy to understand and does not need to be repeated, but this "broken" word is worth pondering.

Specifically, what is "broken" and how to "break" are two of the key points. According to the highly pragmatic understanding of posterity, this is a matter of thinking and method.

The so-called breaking is analysis, but there are also limitations on topics, language, and sentences. Therefore, this "breaking" and this analysis is not a random and unrestricted analysis, but an analysis under strict restrictions and constraints under various conditions.

If we want to be more precise, it is to accurately divide the topic into two and then accurately express it, so that it becomes the outline of the whole text.

And because the requirements for the system of righteousness are very strict, and the title comes from the "Four Books", there are many other particularities. For example, if there is only one sentence as the title, then there must be context. Thus the provision can neither be committed nor committed.

Take the question of Gao Gong as an example, if he singles out the topic of "use it to do", when Gao Pragmatic thinks about solving the problem, he can't think of "giving it up to hide", thinking or writing, it is a crime, then it can't, it is not qualified. On the contrary, if you go out alone and "give it up to hide", you naturally can't think of the previous sentence, and the extraordinary is a crime.

But after all, Gao Gong takes into account Gao Shishi's age and he is only a beginner, so this question is two sentences together, which is a problem in itself, and it is easier to "break". Of course, it may also be Gao Gong's understanding of Mr. Higashino, Mr. Higashino may prefer this kind of dignified question to the sword to go sideways, then this is not what Gao Pragmatic understands.

At this time, the paper has been spread out, the ink has been researched, Gao pragmatic pen dipped in ink, and neatly wrote down the two sentences to break the question:

"It is advisable for the saint to hide, and for those who are able to begin to reveal it."

Gao Gong stood aside, and when he saw these two sentences, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl slightly, revealing a smile.

These two sentences break the topic, clearly break "line, hide", and secretly break "only I and you". Because all the problems are broken, no matter who the name of the sage and whoever it is, must use the pronoun, so the word "capable" is used to refer to Yan Yuan here.

Gao pragmatic saw that Gao Gong didn't say a word behind him, and knew that he should be qualified to solve the problem, so he didn't hesitate and continued to write down the topic:

"It is not easy to cover the saint's line of hiding, and it is not easy to regulate it, and it can be said from a few faces."

Undertake the topic, three, four, or five sentences. The people who bear the title are called by their names, so this sentence is called Yanzi. Break and inherit all use the author's meaning, not breathing.

Then it came to the beginning of the speech, Gao pragmatic wrote:

Therefore, it is said that the lifelong experience, only one or two ways to listen to others, and those who seek to be not exhausted are often rare. It is possible to be confident, but to be alone and have nothing to do, and to be alone and have nothing to say. This means that the song of its trust is self-adaptable, and I am fortunate to have a language now. ”

There is no fixed method for the number of sentences, and it can be scaled arbitrarily. The words "if you say", "and husband", "now husband", "taste and think" and other words can be used, and Gao pragmatic here uses "so special words", and said to Yan Yuan in the tone of Confucius, "life" four sentences are rising, "Yu Yu" three sentences are reversed, "this meaning" two sentences are combined, the whole topic is always caged, the layers are clear, and the smile on Gao Gong's face is full of three points.

However, after speaking, it is necessary to use the tone of Confucius, which is also the time to start building the backbone of the whole text.
