Ancient scriptures pay attention to exegesis, if you pursue the original meaning of the scriptures, Confucius has a sentence that is to say but not do.

Today's literature and scriptures pay attention to chapters and sentences, which is from Confucius's notes on the Spring and Autumn Period, and the rebellious ministers and thieves are afraid of the rebellious ministers and thieves with small words and righteousness. They believe that every sentence in the Spring and Autumn Classics has the content of expression, the inner meaning, and they interpret the inner meaning, which is actually the ancient Yanzhi.

The emphasis is on ancient scriptures and scriptures, only exegesis, not chapters. Tracing back to the source and returning to the scriptures, the pursuit of exegesis. Therefore, the Nine Classics only examines the scriptures and the meaning of the scriptures, which is equivalent to requiring the recitation and interpretation of the scriptures, and does not allow any interpretation of the scriptures.
