Chapter 574: Lips and tongues are like swords, vertical and horizontal
At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Chen Ji, a scholar and scholar in Jiangnan, mentioned in the poem "The Official Army Sent Wu Gate on February 11 of the Emperor's Mansion" that Li Shiqi lobbied Tian Guang.
The poem says: Last year's autumn will be half, and this year's spring is the equinox. The Jin State favored the destined generals, and the Han court belonged to the fathers. There are 100,000 crossbows in the Ge boats, and 3,000 iron horses are all tigers. laughed at the old maniac of Gaoyang, and insulted the Qi army with his tongue.
Of course, the meaning of Chen Ji in the poem is obvious, he has extremely deep expectations for the official army, but he is full of disdain for Li Shiqi.
However, the two people in the county government today are full of respect for Li Shiqi, because they are fellow believers.
Zhuge Liang has tens of thousands of male soldiers in his hands and is the first strategist under Liu Bei.
Sima Yi was a fledgling sword in Jingzhou and became Wang Li's messenger.
Li Shiqi is the hero of the founding of the country, and has been in ancient times for hundreds of years.
At first glance, the three of them have no direct relationship, and there is no soul collision at this moment. However, no matter where the three of them worked, and no matter how long history spanned hundreds of years between the three of them, they all left a mark on their bodies.
Vertical and horizontal family!
During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Guiguzi Wang Xu created the vertical and horizontal school, and his disciples Su Qin, Zhang Yi, Sun Bin, Pang Juan, Mao Sui, Shang Ying and others with strong ambitions rushed forward one after another like moths to the flames.
Thus, the curtain of the Seven Kingdoms was opened. Heroes and heroes, heroes and ministers, prodigal sons, roosters and dog thieves; Intrigue and conspiracy, revenge and redemption, power and freedom, darkness and light, have become the melody of this era.
Among them, Su Qin and Zhang Yi are even more famous in the world, and the two of them have made earth-shaking changes in the situation and rise and fall of the Seven Heroes of the Warring States with only three inches of incorruptible tongue.
This is Zongheng, this is Zonghengjia!
As for the word vertical and horizontal, Guiguzi once explained in his book: The four o'clock opens and closes to transform all things vertically and horizontally. Later, Han Feizi also wrote in the book: The longitudinal one, the weak unite to attack the strong; The one who is horizontal, the one is strong to attack the weak.
Although Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi are famous for their resourcefulness, they still hide a little bit of the true colors of the Zongheng family in their essence.
Otherwise, how could Zhuge Liang divide the world without being a fledgling and stand alone in Jiangdong's tongue battle group of Confucianism? How did Sima Yi deceive Cao Cao and gain his trust, and fight Zhuge disease alone to earn Cao Shuang?
Hearing that Zhuge Liang put down the road, Sima Yi sneered: "I have heard for a long time that Mr. Zhuge has gone up to astronomy and down to geography, and the sons of the three religions and nine streams know everything, and the ancient and modern sages and sages have read everything, and his life is compared with the two of them. Dare to ask Mr.: Is there a head in the sky? ”
"Of course, "Poetry, Daya, Emperor" said: It is a visit to the west, and this dimension is with the house. If the sky has no head, how can you look west? Zhuge Liang dusted off the dust that didn't exist on his body, smiled slightly and retorted, "Heaven has ears? ”
"The sky is high and the listening is humble, "The Book of Songs, Xiaoya, Crane Song" cloud: The crane sings in Jiugao, and the sound is heard in the sky. Can you hear without ears? Sima Yi glanced at Zhuge Liang contemptuously, and then said, "Heaven is reasonable?" ”
"Of course the heavens are reasonable, don't you hear Zhuangzi's "Ku Ding Jie Niu": according to the principles of heaven, criticize Da He, and guide Da Yao."
Zhuge Liang laughed, his heart suddenly moved, as if he thought of something, his face changed suddenly, and just as he was about to speak, he heard Sima Yi shouting on the side, "Since Heaven is reasonable, why did the envoy dare to be disrespectful on behalf of the Son of Heaven?" What is the rationale for this? ”
"Between heaven and earth, what is it? Void but unyielding, moving and getting more and more. It is better to keep the middle than to talk too much. Your Majesty is at ease in our hearts, how can you be as superficial as you? Seeing Zhuge Liang hesitate slightly, Liu Bei stepped forward and followed a sentence from Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching".
The original meaning of this sentence means: Heaven and earth do not speak benevolently, nourish all things, and do not ask for anything in return; The saint does not speak kindly, does things for the people, and does not ask for anything in return from the people.
He didn't mean anything wrong with using it here, it was nothing more than saying that His Majesty was a saint, and that a saint would keep the world without discrimination, and do things for the people without asking for anything in return. Since the saint didn't ask for anything in return from the people, then he wouldn't care about Liu Biao and him, Zhuge Liang and others at all.
In fact, Liu Bei is right, for the Son of Heaven of the Han Dynasty, those so-called three kneeling and nine bows are really just some false courtesies.
Before the Ming and Qing dynasties, whether it was the Han Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty, or the Sui, Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties, the emperor did not necessarily require three kneeling and nine bows to the ministers. Even in the Han Dynasty and the Sui and Tang dynasties, the emperor and his ministers still sat face to face when discussing things, and sometimes they didn't even need to stand respectfully.
However, Liu Bei forgot that there was a fighter in front of him, a crazy fighter.
Sima Yi is a fighter!
"Life is made by oneself, and each other is born from the heart. The environment changes with your heart, and tolerance is great. The superficial obedience to the heart is said to be the same, and the difference between the heart and the mouth is called duplicity. Sima Yi raised his eyebrows when he heard this, and there was a lot of unkindness in his eyes when he looked at Liu Bei.
Yi followed the family for many years, traversed the doctrine of the sons, and asked himself to learn no less than the average Confucian scholar, but today I found out that it is better to read ten thousand books than to travel thousands of miles.
What's more, the saint does not ask for the kindness of the saint in return, and the benevolence of the saint is the saint, but as the people under the rule of the saint, how can they lose their awe? Could it be that your Xuande Gong has long lost the awe of the saint and His Majesty and the court today! ”
No reverence for the saints, His Majesty and the court?
Doesn't this make it clear that he wants to say that he Liu Bei has a heart in his heart?
Liu Bei's mouth was dry for a while, although he was indeed disappointed in the court and had some resentment towards Yong'an in the current dynasty, but this did not mean that he already wanted to replace Yong'an. At least he would never have thought so if he didn't have absolute power and an army.
Liu Bei's face suddenly became difficult to look at, as if Sima Yi's words just now had pierced the mask on his face and the clothes on his body and went straight to his heart.
was about to step forward to defend two more sentences, but when he saw the light in Sima Yi's eyes skyrocketing, he blurted out a sneer and a rhetorical question, and almost threw him naked into the wasteland of Layue, cold to the bone, and a chill went straight to his heart.
"The sentence 'between heaven and earth' that Xuan Degong just said was originally from Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching", which was originally understandable, but did Xuan Degong forget the first half of this sentence?"
Everyone was in an uproar for a while, whether it was Hu Zhao or Liu Biao, as well as Liu Xian, Kuai Liang and Fu Xun who were present, they all looked at Sima Yi intently, and the expressions on their faces were everything.
For example, Hu Zhao's old arms were pleased, Liu Biao's gnashing of teeth, Liu Xian's stunnedness, and Kuai Liang and Fu Xun's hearts were full of joy, and so on, as if Sima Yi presented everyone with a full table of Manchu and Han, with mixed tastes.
They are all literati who have read poetry and books, even if they can't talk about Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching" memorized backwards, but they have definitely turned it over seven or eight times, and even Kuai Liang and Liu Xian and other big families in Jingzhou still have this book stored in their homes, how could they not know the meaning of Sima Yi's words?
The fifth chapter of the Tao Te Ching says: Heaven and earth are unkind, and all things are used as dogs; The saints are unkind, and they use the people as dogs. Between heaven and earth, is it still a sword? Void but unyielding, moving and getting more and more. It is better to keep the middle than to talk too much.
And the last sentence between heaven and earth is: "Heaven and earth are unkind, and all things are used as dogs; The saints are unkind, and they use the people as dogs. ”
Obviously, Sima Yi just wanted to use these words to nail Liu Bei to the pillar of shame forever, and he also wanted to take the opportunity to tell the world that in Liu Bei's eyes, the Son of Heaven is unkind, and the saint is unkind!
