But the problem with the water pipes stumped us. After we installed the water pipes, we found out that although the imperial court had really made the water pipes according to my requirements. However, because of the fineness, these pipes were not made in the 'seamless pipe' way of later generations, but were simply cast. So both sealing and waterproofing became a problem. And there is one of the biggest troubles, that is, these iron pipes forged in different periods are not accurate enough to get the size and thickness. The two water pipes plus the water pipe joints used for connection turned out to be three different sizes that could not be connected at all. Even if you barely pick a similar connection, water leaks have become the norm......

As a last resort, I had to use the rubber water pipe in the mall as a direct connection between the two iron pipes, and after fixing it with iron wire, I could barely get the pipe out of the pipe, and the problem of water leakage was temporarily solved. But in this case, durability becomes a serious problem. The rubber water pipes between the iron pipes can be easily damaged.

So after I was upset for a long time, I had to take an alternative solution: the water pipe in the building did not go directly to the homes of the residents, but a public faucet was installed downstairs to make do with it......

I agreed that because running water could not enter every room, even the bathroom I designed in the room became a big problem. If you don't have running water to flush, then the toilet won't work at all!

Oh yes! Speaking of toilets~ I found that the ancient people's research and production level of porcelain was really high! I just took out a toilet bowl and gave it to the craftsman of the 'kiln', and they easily copied it perfectly.

The problem with the sewer is also the use of ceramic pipes, so that a bathroom similar to that of later generations can be installed in the home of each building!

The only regret is that the sewer problem was solved, but the water supply and tap water problems could not be solved. Unless it's all using the pipes I provide from the mall.

But the shopping mall I am thinking of is a comprehensive shopping mall after all, not a professional hardware store. So there are water pipes inside, but the number is limited! I kept moving out for several days, and it only took me a week to put together the water pipes for a unit building.

The problem of wires is quite simple. There are a lot of these things in the mall! And this thing is sold in rolls, each roll has a length of 100 meters. Dozens of rolls of wires on the counters of shopping malls are enough for an entire residential area. After all, there is only one wire connector left in each room. Electrical appliances that can use electricity, in addition to electric motors, other electrical appliances, including light bulbs and lamps, are all supplied by shopping malls! At the current level of science and technology, not to mention electric lights, even glass has not been successfully studied!

Speaking of glass, this is also one of the biggest difficulties when building a city. Because 'glass' is very valuable, I didn't send anyone to study the making of glass at all. I'm now making about the same profit as my restaurant by selling glass bottles. So I didn't bother to study the glass.

The amount of glass in the mall is quite large. There are also many ready-made windows that can be removed directly from the mall and used as building materials. However, it is also because of the glass ~ ah no, it is the reason why the value of 'glass' is too high. If I really install glass in every room~ Ah no, it's a glass window, it is estimated that it will not be long before it will be ransacked! It's worth more than gold.

It is for this reason that I blame myself for my greed. In addition to arranging for people to start really studying the production method of glass, it is to design the windows of all buildings for the time being as the common lattice windows of this era...... It's still the kind of paper paste that is made of 'window paper'.

Anyway, after a try, I found out that although it is possible to build the main house. But the kind of house I was hoping for with a running water and electricity is not quite possible right now...... Unless it's a special building with the building materials of the mall. I can barely do that!
