Chapter 6: The Fall of the Star
When Zhu Yuanzhang defeated Chen Youliang in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and attacked Zhang Shicheng's territory in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, he became acquainted with Concubine Shu.
At that time, Concubine Shu was a woman from a peasant family in Tongzhou Township, her real name was Chen Yihua, her parents died early, and she was the only one left in the family.
Zhu Yuanzhang led a vanguard of more than a dozen people past her house and hid there to avoid Zhang Shicheng's eyes.
Unexpectedly, this peasant woman is gentle and virtuous on the surface, but her fists and feet are comparable to those of strong men in the army. At first, she regarded Zhu Yuanzhang as a thief who broke into the house, and shook down two or three big men in a row with her bare hands.
After Zhu Yuanzhang explained her intentions, she immediately expressed her willingness to take them in, which was also expected by Zhu Yuanzhang.
It turned out that after Zhang Shicheng occupied Wudi, Zhu Yuanzhang was busy dealing with Chen Youliang and pretending to make peace with Zhang Shicheng. Wu was rich in natural resources, prosperous in the economy, and no one harassed him, so Zhang Shicheng and his cronies gradually became arrogant and lascivious, drunk and obsessed. Zhang Shicheng not only indulged his subordinates in rampant expropriation and encroachment on fertile land, but also turned a blind eye to their evil deeds of bullying the people and robbing the women of good families.
The local people complained, and they heard that Zhu Yuanzhang's army was strictly disciplined, that he was honest and honest, and that he had both ability and political integrity, and that he was a man with lofty ideals, and the people were looking forward to Zhu Yuanzhang's army coming to Wu as soon as possible.
Chen Yihua helped Zhu Yuanzhang a lot, Zhu Yuanzhang saw that she had a good face, and she was not pretentious, she had a unique flavor, and she liked her very much, so he accepted her as a concubine.
After Zhu Yuanzhang ascended the throne, Chen Yihua was named a beauty, and with her own uniqueness and sophistication, it didn't take long for her to climb to the position of concubine.
Originally, Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to crown her as a martial concubine to show her uniqueness among all the harem beauties. Unexpectedly, she asked for forgiveness herself.
According to her, she learned from Queen Ma that forgiveness is the greatest virtue, and she should always be vigilant to practice this virtue. Queen Ma also liked this unique girl very much, and since then she has become closer and closer to her.
The sudden intrusion of the stone startled the three women who were sharing the pleasure in the house.
Mrs. Li always thought that the stone was playing in the courtyard, and she didn't know how many palaces the stone had run through and how many corridors it had passed through before it appeared in front of her sweating profusely and panting like a cow.
The dignified smile she had maintained in small talk was replaced by a sudden worry.
"Stone, what are you running? Look at this sweaty man, don't catch a cold! β
Mrs. Li's reproachful tone was full of meticulous concern, and while taking out a silk handkerchief to wipe the sweat of the stone, she gently patted his back: "The queen mother gave you a book of poems, you have to study hard!" Don't let down the queen's hard work. β
"Thank you, Queen Mother!" The stone carefully took the book of poems, as if he had held a bowl of bitter medicinal soup.
But the bitterness only spread in his heart, and he didn't let the queen realize half of his disgust for the poetry collection. Mrs. Li didn't dare to ask the stone to recite poems in front of Queen Ma, and the consequences of being ugly can be imagined.
"Come, I've seen Concubine Shu." Madame Li looked at a lady beside Queen Ma.
"Say hello to Concubine Shu!" The stone obediently copes with all the red tape. Although he hates to sit in the study and endorse books, he is still very good at dealing with people.
"Well, the stone is so good-looking, more handsome than a girl." Concubine Shu is dignified and elegant, much younger than Queen Ma, with a pair of bright eyes and tender water, which can influence the most ferocious people and melt the most ruthless hearts. It was a sin to bare your teeth and mouth in front of her, and even to keep your face strained.
When Shi saw Concubine Shu for the first time, he immediately had a good impression of her, and she had a sense of intimacy that fascinated him, and Shi felt that he could tell her all the secrets in his heart, which he could not experience in either Madame Li or Empress Ma.
"Concubine Shu, don't be deceived by this kid's appearance, he is very naughty, and he is scolded by his father." Mrs. Li rubbed the stone's head gently, and her gesture of affection and the reproach in her mouth went hand in hand.
"Hehe, Stone, you're afraid of your father, aren't you?" Concubine Shu smiled.
"Replying to Concubine Niangniang's words, I'm not afraid of my father. If he wants to scold me, let him scold a few words, if he wants to hit me, let him beat me a few times, I am still his son, and he is still my father. β
"Ouch! How can you have such insight at such a young age? We're going to do great things in the future! Concubine Shu's heart was overjoyed, as if the stone was her son.
"Concubine Shu has won the prize!" Although the stone is tired of etiquette, he will never embarrass his father and mother in front of his elders.
"Yo, if only I had such a well-behaved son."
"What did the mother say? The dragon born by the mother must be smart and clever, and the understanding is superb. Mrs. Li hurriedly said. Queen Ma laughed from the sidelines.
"Okay, Concubine Shu, people who don't know still think that you have a crush on someone else's son! Mrs. Li, the palace is busy with affairs, and the palace takes little care of your mother and son, you can find Concubine Shu if you have something in the future, she is a warm-hearted person. But ......"
"But? Queen Mother, what else is there? "Concubine Shu is a little anxious.
"Don't rob other people's sons!" Queen Ma patted the case lightly and pretended to give a warning.
The flush instantly flew up Concubine Shu's cheeks, and her thoughts were self-evident. If you make any more quibbles at this time, it is that there are no three hundred taels of silver here.
She simply said: "I like stones very much, but Mrs. Li, don't worry, your son will always be your son, I will cherish him, but I will never take it for myself." β
"Concubine Shu, look at your serious look, this palace is just a joke."
"The queen mother, the concubine Niangniang, the stone is blessed by the love of the two of you. Come, stone, thank you to the queen mother, forgive the concubine mother. β
"Thank you for your mother, thank your concubine for your mother!"
In the ninth year of Hongwu, there was a star change in the sky, and the stars fell in the north.
The ancient saying: "The day changes to cultivate virtue, the moon changes to save punishment, and the stars change to harmony." (1) Astral changes have always been regarded as a bad omen, and the star is particularly dangerous, and it is indisputably considered to be a star that brings great calamity to the earthβthe heavens throw a radiant star on the earth in an attempt to warn all beings, especially emperors, not to make mistakes, or the power of destruction will come to the world.
For a long time, Zhu Yuanzhang has been conscientious, must bow down to everything, restrain his courtiers, benefit the people, and dare not relax at all.
What is it that makes God so angry?
Zhu Yuanzhang was distressed and worried.
Song Lian, a scholar, admonished: "The emperor works hard, listens to the week, accepts advice like a stream, the ministers are ordered to be cautious, the horse is the first to look forward, do not dare to slack off, the people are grateful to Dade, with respect, all praise the emperor's grace." However, when everyone gathers firewood and the flame is high, the emperor can issue an edict to people all over the world to write a letter to admonish the evils of the times, no matter what they say, they will not be investigated. This move is to show the emperor that his heart is only for the people of the world. β
Zhu Yuanzhang agreed with Song Lian's idea. He lived in the palace and could only learn about the world's major events through the local administrators, and perhaps there were some injustices or better achievements for the country that he had not yet known, so he asked Song Lian to draft an edict and promulgate the world.
On a scorching hot afternoon, Ye Boju, the Confucian instructor of Pingyao in Shanxi Province, read the edict delivered thousands of miles away, and his heart was full of joy, and he put down the tea bowl in his hand and walked to the courtyard, wandering passionately without fear of the scorching sun, until the Chinese ink gushed out of his chest and he could not hold himself and had to write down.
Although he is a small Confucian teacher, unknown and unknown, he boasts that he is rich in learning, connects the past and the present, and has set up a grand vision of contributing everything and even his life to the construction of the country.
He wrote until late at night, pouring out what he had learned all his life without reservation, and after several revisions and scrutiny, he finally completed the huge treatise "Feng Zhao Chen Yan Shu".
"Looking at today's affairs, there are three who are too much: the division is too extravagant, the punishment is too complicated, and the treatment is too fast." β‘
This sentence outlines and shows the main point of the great theory.
After that, he explained his views in a layered manner, expounded the shortcomings of the current politics with a clear explanation, and justifiably explained the necessity of reform.
In the end, he swore that he would rule the country in the way he had advised, and that the stars and calamities would no longer have anything to do with each other.
Write it, the dawn has been revealed.
He read through the huge treatise several times with more vigor than a person who slept all night, and was extremely satisfied with his quotations from the classics, clear logic, and Zhang Youchi's style.
He believed that the emperor could see his fierce loyalty, and he believed that he had a bright future.
On a sunny morning, Ye Boju came to the school, handed over the huge treatise to the messenger, and told him that this was a confidential urgent item, which should not be read by anyone, and should not be delayed for half a moment.
After stepping onto the podium, his enthusiasm continued to burn and he decided to continue it on the living.
"Reading is the most important thing in a person's life, and the usefulness of reading is so great that you can't imagine it. Each of you needs to study, don't think that you are still living in the Yuan Dynasty, you don't know a single big character, as long as you have the strength, you can fill your stomach, you can marry a wife in the future, and you can support your children. Now the world is different, now it is the Ming Dynasty. The emperor of the Ming Dynasty wanted his people to go to school. Reading is not only for yourself, but also for the community. The imperial court had issued an edict for learned scholars to point out the inadequacy of the imperial court's political views and laws. If it is mentioned well, it will be reused by the imperial court and benefit the society. I have the privilege of giving advice to the emperor, which is a blessing for scholars. You must also be like me, take books as food, reading as the source of happiness, and care about the community, so as to achieve great things and benefit the people! β
The disciples were infected by Ye Boju's passion, and they were all moved, clapped their hands, set up ambitions, and definitely learned from their teachers and lived in vain.
In fact, they would get similar encouragement from Ye Boju every once in a while, but these encouragements only shook their ears and hearts today, because today's Ye Boju is full of light.
