scp
The SCP Foundation (Special Containment Procedures Foundation) is an online forum dedicated to anomalies such as paranormal phenomena, objects, or creatures, as well as the name of an organization within the system.
The main body of the story revolves around an organization called the "SCP Foundation", which operates without interference from any state organization, and whose goal is to contain anomalous phenomena, events, individuals, etc. in the world, collectively referred to as "containments" (i.e., SCPs).
Each containment object will have a corresponding designation (e.g., SCP–XXXX). Many of these "objects" can be both physically dangerous to people and psychologically affect people around the world, shaking their personal beliefs and interfering with their daily lives. The Foundation is dedicated to containing and containing these anomalies to protect the world from the outside world.
SCP Foundation Introduction: Contains more than 5,000 "monsters", which can be called the most mysterious organization in the world
Humans have been multiplying for 250,000 years now, and only the last 4,000 years are meaningful.
So, what have we been doing for almost 250,000 years? We hid in caves, sat around little campfires, and feared things we didn't understand—explanations of how the sun rose, monsters with human heads and birds, living stones. So we call them "gods" and "demons" and ask them for forgiveness and pray for salvation.
After that, their number is decreasing, and ours is increasing. When we fear fewer and fewer things, we begin to look at the world more rationally. However, the inexplicable does not disappear, as if the universe was deliberately trying to appear absurd and inconceivable.
Humanity can no longer live in fear. Nothing can protect humanity, we must protect ourselves.
While others live in the sun, we must fight them in the shadows and prevent them from being exposed to the public eye so that others can live in a sane, ordinary world.
We control, we contain, we protect.
In fact, we have been living under the protection of this mysterious organization!
The Foundation operates in shadowy locations around the world with the goal of containing anomalous objects, individuals, and phenomena. It operates on its own without interference from the jurisdiction, mandates and mandates of the major Governments. These anomalies pose a significant threat to global security through physical or psychological hazards.
The Foundation maintains normalcy so that civilians around the world can survive and avoid fear or suspicion, or loss of faith, and maintain human independence from extraterrestrial, extradimensional, and outer space threats.
Our mission is threefold:
Secure
The Foundation has secured anomalies to prevent them from falling into the hands of civilians or hostile groups, and has taken action to intercept them as early as possible through extensive observation and monitoring.
Containment
The Foundation has contained anomalies in order to prevent the spread of their effects or effects, either by relocating, disguising, dismantling them, or by inhibiting or preventing the public from disseminating their knowledge.
Protect
The Foundation protects humanity from anomalies, as well as anomalies themselves, until they are fully understood and new scientific theorems emerge from their properties and behavior. If the anomaly is judged to be excessively dangerous at the time of containment, the Foundation may also neutralize or destroy the anomaly as a last resort.
target
1. Containment of potentially threatening objects.
2. Find the supernatural and develop new technologies based on their principles.
3. Develop safety measures to deal with future hazards.
4. Find, contain, and destroy anyone or anything that prevents us from accomplishing the above goals.
The Foundation maintains a vast database of information on the special containment procedures required for anomalies, commonly referred to as "SCPs". The Foundation's main database contains a summary of anomalies and emergency measures to maintain or re-establish safe containment in the event of a containment breach or other event.
Anomalies come in many forms, perhaps an object, an entity, a location, or a separate phenomenon. These anomalies are classified as a specific object classification and contained in numerous Foundation facilities, or in situ if relocation is deemed infeasible.
The Foundation operates with the highest level of confidentiality. All Foundation personnel must adhere to security clearance levels and as-needed secrets and information. Personnel found to have violated Foundation security protocols are to be identified, detained, and disciplined.
The Foundation is not an organization with the knowledge and ability to interact with or use anomalies. While some of these organizations have similar goals and may work with us on global security issues, many more are opportunistic and profit-driven in their attempts to adapt or exploit anomalies for their own ends. Foundation personnel are instructed to treat individuals from these organizations with suspicion at all times, and to be subject to termination or other disciplinary action if they cooperate with these organizations without the express consent of Foundation leadership.
Foundation Personnel Class
Security clearance level
Security clearances granted by the Foundation represent the highest level and type of information that personnel are allowed to access. Nonetheless, being granted any level of authority does not automatically grant access to all information at that level: personnel can only access information that is permitted on a "need-to-know" basis, and each department has a designated disclosure officer who is responsible for determining such matters. [1]
Level 0 (public information only)
Level 0 security clearance is granted to non-core personnel who do not need to know information about anomalous objects or individuals in Foundation containment. Level 0 clearance is typically granted to personnel in clerical, logistical, or cleaning positions within the facility who do not have access to operational data.
Level 1 (Basic Trust)
Level 1 security clearance is granted to personnel who work in close proximity to contained anomalous objects or instances, but do not have direct, indirect, or informational access to them. Level 1 security clearance is typically granted to personnel in clerical, logistical, or janitorial positions within a facility that has the capacity to contain or must handle sensitive information.
Level 2 (Restricted)
Level 2 security clearance is granted to security guards and researchers who require direct access to anomalous objects and individuals in containment. Most researchers, field agents, and containment specialists are in possession of Level 2 security clearance.
Level 3 (Classified)
Level 3 security clearance is granted to senior security guards and researchers who need deep access to information about the origins of anomalous objects and individuals in containment, the recovery environment, and long-term plans. The majority of senior researchers, project directors, security officers, response team members, and Mobile Task Force operatives are in Level 3 security clearance.
Level 4 (Top Secret)
Level 4 security clearance is granted to senior management personnel who need access to site-level and/or regional intelligence and long-term strategic data regarding Foundation operations and research programs. Level 4 security clearance is usually held by the Site Director, Security Director, or Mobile Task Force Commander.
Level 5 (Twins/Thaumiel)
Level 5 security clearance is granted to the highest level of management within the Foundation, with free access to all strategic and other sensitive data. Level 5 security clearance is usually granted only to members of the O5 Council.
Personnel are assigned a grade based on how close they are to a potentially hazardous item, individual, or phenomenon.
A-class personnel are those deemed essential to the Foundation's strategic operations, and are not allowed direct contact with anomalies under any circumstances. When the situation requires direct access to such anomalies (e.g., if the facility has a containment unit), A-Class personnel are not allowed to enter the area of the facility containing the anomaly and are to remain in a safe area at all times. In the event of an emergency, A-Class personnel are to be evacuated immediately to a designated and safe off-site location. Members of the O5 Council are always A-Class personnel.
B-class personnel are those deemed essential to local Foundation operations, and may only be allowed access to objects, individuals, and anomalies that have passed quarantine and have been cleared of any potential volitional influences or memetic agents. In the event of a containment breach or an attack by hostile forces on Foundation facilities, B-class personnel are to be evacuated to a designated off-site location as soon as possible.
C-Class Personnel
C-class personnel have direct access to most anomalies that are not considered too hostile or threatening. C-class personnel may come into direct contact with potential volitional influences or memetic agents, and security personnel are to subject them to mandatory isolation or psychiatric evaluation if deemed necessary. In the event of a containment breach or attack on Foundation facilities by hostile forces, non-combatant C-Class personnel are to report immediately to a secure lockdown area, and are to be evacuated under the direction of on-site security personnel in the event of a site-level containment breach or other catastrophic event.
D-class personnel
D-Class personnel are expendable personnel, responsible for the direct handling of extremely dangerous anomalies, and are not allowed access to Class A and B-Class personnel. D-class personnel are typically drawn from prisons around the world with violent criminal backgrounds, particularly those sentenced to death. In the event of an emergency, Protocol 12 may be activated, allowing alternatives to be sought from other sources - such as political prisoners, refugees, or other civilian sources - that can be reasonably denied after being sent to the Foundation. D-class personnel are to undergo routine mandatory psychiatric evaluations under the direction of on-site security or medical personnel, and administer a minimum of Class-B amnestics or terminate at the end of each month. In the event of a catastrophic event on site, site security personnel may terminate D-class personnel as soon as deemed necessary.
It was originally thought that D was used because "D stands for Disposable", and D-class personnel are one of the Foundation's longest and most controversial traditions. When first conceived, D-class personnel were recommended to be terminated on the last day of the month; However, it is hard to imagine that even if all the death row inmates from all over the world were collected and numbered as D-class personnel, it would not be enough for the Foundation to waste such human lives.
Since then, many have believed that the monthly forced terminations are a form of disinformation in order to reduce the amount of affection between researchers and D-class personnel; Many believe that D-class personnel are simply amnesticized at the end of each month and sent to other sites. The new setting goes a step further, suggesting that after routine amnestics, D-class personnel should only be terminated if they are unable to maintain their health or are too insane to work (or if they have been contaminated by anomalous phenomena).
Protocol 12 is a rarely mentioned policy whereby those who are not normally qualified as D-class personnel are arrested when the Foundation lacks resources. The extreme practices of Protocol 12 are clearly detrimental to the Foundation's overall story; The Foundation may take certain extremes or cross certain boundaries in order to protect humanity, but they will not waste human lives - especially innocent lives - needlessly.
E-Class Personnel
E-Class is a provisional designation whereby field agents and containment personnel are assigned to Class E when securing or initial containment of a completely new anomalous object, entity, or phenomenon and potentially exposing them to potentially dangerous effects. E-class personnel are to be isolated, monitored, and examined for potentially harmful effects of their behavior, personality, or spirit as soon as possible, and are to return to work only after a full examination and approval by psychological and medical personnel.
Employee Title
A general job title that is usually used in foundations.
Site personnel
Containment Specialists
Containment specialists have two primary responsibilities at Foundation facilities. First, the containment team will respond to the call and determine the anomalous activity status of the anomalous object, individual, or phenomenon, and secure and establish initial containment before transporting them to the nearest Foundation containment site.
In addition, Foundation Containment Engineers and Technologists are responsible for designing, improving, and maintaining containment units and protocols for anomalous objects, individuals, or phenomena within Foundation facilities.
Containment specialists are engineers and technicians at heart; Their job on Foundation sites is to construct and maintain a variety of cells, cells, and cages for the various objects and instances of the Foundation. They are not combatants; While some of them may be trained and carry pistols for self-defense, most containment specialists spend a lot of their time carrying around the most dangerous thing they have, a pipe wrench.
researcher
Fellows are the scientific branch of the Foundation, selected from the world's brightest and best scientific researchers. Specializing in everything from chemistry and botany to occult or specialized fields such as physics and extraterrestrial biology, the Foundation's research program aims to better understand unexplained anomalies and how they work.
