Wu Tingfang kindly told me that striking while the iron is hot, there may not be such a shop in this village anymore, and when the time comes, I am afraid it will not be whether it can be treated preferentially, but whether it can save his life.

Saying, Yuan Shikai was excited, "I regret dying, you must know that the country has been made like this, it has been made like this, such public grievances are boiling, unpopular, I won't say anything." Isn't it good to fish for shrimp at home and enjoy Qingfu? Why suffer this sin? Queen Mother, if it weren't for Prince Qing and Prince Alcohol who came to my house yesterday and forced me to do it, what I sent today would not be this recital, but the resignation of the cabinet. Believe it or not, what I am fighting for the Queen Mother and the Emperor now is the best and most favorable result, which can be learned from heaven and earth. ”

As he spoke, Yuan Shikai, who had just stood up for a long time, knelt down again and cried aggrievedly.

Coming out of the palace, Yuan Shikai was not in a good mood, facing orphans and widows, it was really torture for him. What happened next really fulfilled him. It was the revolutionaries who assassinated Yuan Shikai by mistake.

This was the planned operation of the Assassination Department of the Beijing-Tianjin Alliance, and the specific organizer of the assassination of Yuan Shikai was Zheng Yuxiu.

Zheng Yuxiu (1891-1959) was a well-known social activist, outstanding revolutionary, and advocate of the feminist movement during the Republic of China.
