Section XII
To everyone's surprise, the combat effectiveness of the Imperial Forest Army and Ouchi Guards was not necessarily very strong. This kind of noble profession is generally only the children of the Manchu nobles or after meritorious service can be qualified to take on, according to the words of Lin Feng's time, it is called "children of high cadres", these people in general the cultural quality is much higher than other Qing army, if the competition is to talk about cross talk, sing tunes, chant poems, and do paintings, the national army is not comparable, but when it comes to fighting a war and working hard, it is another matter, in the seventeenth century, there is no superiority in the educated and high-quality army.
This combined army composed of the Imperial Forest Army and the palace guards has different colors, and they barely form a formation at the city gate to resist, it is undeniable that some of the backbone skills are indeed very good, jumping up and down and shouting for a hearty battle, but it is a pity that personal force is not much use in such a melee, organized groups with combat experience always occupy the battlefield advantage, and Lin Feng is worried that the martial arts masters who have been in the past for a long time have not performed prominently, and the legendary imperial guards are no different from ordinary soldiers at the moment, When the knife was shot, it was still dripping with blood and wounded, and in front of the enemy army that had been gathering strength for a long time, he was slowly defeated and retreated.
Cowardly, exhausted, scattered, and killed, seeing that there was nothing to do, the defending officers commanded these defeated troops and reluctantly retreated towards the inner palace.
Lin Feng saw from a distance, Zhao Guangyuan's more than 100 cavalry instantly killed deeply, the cavalry waved their sabers in the high-speed charge, blood sprayed and rolled, no one could stop a minute or a second, when Rick's musket team went up, the city defense had already gone, and the defenders retreated towards the inner palace in panic.
According to Zhou Peigong's original arrangement, torches were everywhere around the walls of the Forbidden City, illuminating as if it were daylight, and the defenders were patrolling back and forth under the leadership of experienced Liaodong officers, and the guards were impenetrable, believing that Kangxi and his gang would not be able to escape no matter what.
When Lin Feng rode his horse into the inner palace square, the battlefield had already gone far into the depths of the harem, perhaps because of desperation, those inner guards and the royal forest army actually pushed the eunuchs and palace maids onto the battlefield as cannon fodder, and even forced some strong eunuchs to take up arms to participate in the battle, and at the same time sprinkled gold and silver treasures on the ground to tempt the enemy. At this time, the attacking troops naturally did not have any idea of cherishing the jade, and they killed people on sight with swords and guns, and immediately set fire to the terrain that was difficult to conquer, without any idea of protecting cultural heritage.
Lin Feng supervised the battle in the rear, and when he saw someone leaving the battle or grabbing the palace maid to vent, he immediately led his own soldiers to go up and hack him to death, without leaving any mercy, and at the same time sent people to give orders from all sides, and after the victory, General Lin rewarded the three armies, and the silver woman wanted what she wanted, but at this time, whoever dared to leave the battle was immediately executed.
The last despicable plan of the defenders failed, and he didn't even get the chance to survive, along the bloodstains, Lin Feng stepped into the gate of the Qianqing Palace, looking at the four words "Zhengda Guangming" in the handwritten book of Emperor Shunzhi, he smiled slightly, pointed to the plaque and instructed the soldiers, "Tear it down, pull it out and burn it!" β
**The emperor's throne stands at the end of the main hall, there is still a little green smoke in the incense burner next to it, and there are several splendid kneeling pads on both sides of the hall, everything is as it is, Lin Feng knows that just a moment ago, Kangxi must have been here to discuss the future with the remnants of the ministers desperately.
Kicking away the kneeling mat, Lin Feng tilted his head and looked up at the seat that symbolized absolute power, suddenly smirked, turned his head to Chen Menglei and said, "What do you think of that thing?!" β
Chen Menglei said respectfully, "What kind of prince and general are you?" Those who have the power live in it! β
"Oh? Really? Lin Feng grinned, strode up the steps, sat down on the throne, turned his head and suddenly saw the tea bowl next to him, he didn't know what it was, he picked it up and smelled it, it smelled slightly fishy, and couldn't help laughing, "What is this?" Ginseng soup? β
"It's a**!" Chen Menglei whispered.
"Milk? Milk?! Lin Feng felt that this habit was very good, at least it was good for the body.
"No...... It's not ......" Chen Menglei was a little embarrassed and said deliciously, "Yes...... Human milk ......"
Lin Feng was stunned for a moment, the tea bowl fell to the ground and shattered, and blurted out, "What a fucking pervert!" He shook his head and muttered, "Mother-lover plot?!" It's disgusting, I didn't expect this kid to have this problem?! Suddenly, I felt a chill.
Chen Menglei's face was red, but he didn't know how to agree for a while, and suddenly a burst of cheers sounded, slowly spreading from afar, one after another, wave after wave, as if starting from a certain source, instantly swept the entire Forbidden City. Lin Feng listened intently, only feeling a little vague but not very clear, but the sound became louder and louder, and it spread closer and closer, and after a while, the personal soldiers who were guarding outside the Qianqing Palace actually followed and cheered.
"Catch Kangxi!! Caught Kangxi!! Caught Kangxi!! β¦β¦β¦β¦ Long live the adults......"
Lin Feng stood up and walked down immediately, very excited in his heart, and at the same time inexplicably felt a burst of nervousness, he didn't know what it was like to meet this famous emperor in such a way.
"Lord!!" Chen Menglei saw Lin Feng's helpless look, and couldn't help but remind, "When you receive prisoners of war, you should have the bearing of a master." β
"Oh?! - Huh?! - Really? Lin Feng replied stupidly, "To the ground, to the ground, it seems that it should be like this." He took a turn in the Qianqing Palace, and suddenly found that he couldn't find his place, "Then what should I do?!" β
Chen Menglei coughed dryly, his expression looked a little unnatural, Lin Feng urged a few words, but he didn't answer, raised his head and glanced at the emperor's throne with his back to the south.
Just kidding, Lao Tzu only has such a big strength, is there any mistake, and persuasion is not at this time, right?! According to the rules, at least half of China is a bit of a spectrum! Lin Feng was shocked, and suddenly thought that he had even arrested the emperor in the capital, and such a terrifying thing had been done, so what were he afraid of? Wu Sangui? Taiwan Zheng Jing? The remnants of the Qing Dynasty? Gerdan? - I'm afraid he'll bite my bird!!
Thinking of this, Lin Feng perked up, swaggered over and sat down, and waited for his subordinates to send those emperor ministers or something.
There were very few captives, and there were only three people including Kangxi, so he was a little disappointed, and when the captives were sent up, Lin Feng couldn't help but ask, "I said Lao Zhao, why are there only a few?!" β
"Returning to your lordship!" Zhao Guangyuan saw Lin Feng sitting on the emperor's throne without care, and he became more and more sure in his heart that he was following a true master, and his expression became more and more respectful, "Most of the ministers who fled into the palace were overly old, and most of them committed suicide, and they were all killed in battle with knives, and only a few Wenchen here were captured alive!" β
"And what's going on with this kid covered in blood?!" Lin Feng pointed to Kangxidao, who was covered in blood and had long been unconscious.
"My lord, we didn't expect that Kangxi's kid ......" Zhao Guangyuan couldn't help but learn a little of Lin Feng's tone, and suddenly felt very unnatural, weird and uncomfortable, and couldn't help but admire it even more in his heart, and only adults could call the emperor so indifferent, he cheered up, "...... He actually went into battle with us in person, and the brothers didn't know that he was the emperor at first, so they didn't keep their hands, and then a eunuch recognized it, so we put away our hands, and it took a lot of effort to take him down, but it seems that he also ......" Zhao Guangyuan swallowed a mouthful of saliva and did not continue.
"Tsk, good fellow, good!" Lin Feng nodded and praised, it seems that the history books are not all lies, this Kangxi is said to be not weak in martial arts, he is a master of hunting, and he doesn't know how many fierce beasts he has killed in his life, and now when he sees it, he is really powerful, he walked down the steps and came to Kangxi's side, ignoring the minister next to him whose mouth was tightly blocked and couldn't help but struggle, bowed down and gently held up Kangxi's head, looking at his face Lin Feng couldn't help but be stunned.
Emperor Kangxi was suddenly a pockmark? And it doesn't seem to look good, the chin is sharp and thin, and the cheekbones are not low, it looks like, it seems to be a little sorry for the audience, and I don't know what the directors of the braided drama in later generations think, always looking for some handsome guys to be actors, isn't this a cover up history!
Everyone saw Lin Feng looking at Kangxi in a daze, and they didn't know what they were thinking, they all looked at each other, no one thought that Lin Feng was now comparing him with the faces of male stars in later generations.
Lin Feng recalled for a long time, but after thinking about it, it seems that only Zhao Benshan, Uncle Zhao and Li Baotian, Li seniors seem to have this potential, and Andy Lau and Wen Zhaolun can't all be gathered, and they are thinking about movies and television here, and they didn't notice that Kangxi actually woke up slowly.
Feeling his hand struggling, looking down, Kangxi was slowly opening his eyes, Lin Feng felt that this seemed very rude, and he was not a girl, and it was not good to hold his chin like this, so he gently put his head down, at this time Kangxi's consciousness was already much clearer, and there was a little brightness in his originally scattered and blank eyes.
Lin Feng smiled at him and wanted to say hello to him, but for a moment he found that he didn't know what to say, so he smiled reluctantly, "Ahem...... Ahem, excuse me, that, what are you...... Mr. Xuanye?! He scratched his head, feeling that something was wrong, so he hurriedly added, "I'm Lin Feng, good evening!" β
Kangxi's face was surprisingly calm, a trace of blush slowly appeared on his pale face, he looked at Lin Feng quietly, silent for a long time, and suddenly asked, "How is the Empress Dowager at the moment?!" β
Lin Feng hurriedly turned his head to look at Zhao Guangyuan, and Zhao Guangyuan replied softly, "A moment ago, the Queen Mother was martyred for the Qing Dynasty, and we have no embarrassment for Cining Palace!" β
Kangxi seemed to sigh for a long time, Lin Feng suddenly felt a little guilty, and the ghost made a fool comfort, "Brother Xuan, the festival mourns and changes ......" As soon as the words came out, he felt very wrong, the culprit of all this is himself, and it is really unauthentic to say this now.
When Kangxi heard this, he didn't get angry, he smiled miserably and bowed slightly, "Thank you!" Then his eyes froze, staring at Lin Feng tightly, "You are the leader of the rebels?!" β
The topic was serious, Lin Feng's expression became serious, and he didn't have any crooked thoughts, and said solemnly, "I'm not a rebel - I'm not a Qing Dynasty citizen at all, and there is no such thing as 'rebellion'!" β
"Oh?! Qianming's ......" Kangxi seemed to have found the answer for himself, and no longer entangled in this question, he smiled slightly, "Becoming a king and defeating a king, but I really never thought that there was today!" β
Lin Feng also sighed and looked at him sympathetically, "Dude, to be honest, I didn't expect that you would have been a good emperor!" He stretched out his hand, tugged up his messy braided hair, and chuckled, "But there is nothing to regret - when your old man raised thirteen pairs of armor, he should have thought of today, and the Aixin Jueluo family has been fighting in and out of the gate for decades, which can be regarded as a vigorous one, and your brother has not done a bad job over the years, this time it was just an accident, the so-called natural and man-made disasters...... You're not ashamed of this, this!! Lin Feng saw Kangxi laughing miserably, and hurriedly said, "It's really just an accident, I mean it, don't take it to heart!" β
"Thank you!" Kangxi smiled reluctantly, and suddenly asked, "Do you want to be the emperor?!" β
"This ......" Lin Feng was stunned for a while, thought for a while, and replied seriously, "I didn't have this idea, but after entering this door just now, I suddenly felt that I could give it a try!" β
Kangxi shook his head, his smile was full of bitterness, and his young face was full of vicissitudes at the moment.
Lin Feng smiled bitterly, "Brother Xuanye, do you think it's a shame to die at my hands?!" β
Kangxi smiled, a trace of blood slowly oozed from the corner of his mouth, dripping on the ground, "Can a person who can enter the Qianqing Palace like this be an ordinary person?" I didn't look at the Qianqing Palace, so naturally I didn't accept it! β
"Alas...... I'm sorry man, after you die, I'm going to borrow your head! β
"The monarch is dead, he deserves it, but it doesn't hurt to take it!"
"And ...... And also...... You know, this ...... The Qing Dynasty is in Jiangxi, there are still large armies in Zhejiang and Fujian, and there are many people outside Shanhaiguan, after you die, I am afraid that you will have to kill the men who are qualified to be emperors in the Xinjue Luo family......" Lin Feng regretted a little at the moment, regretting choosing such a conversation atmosphere, because he really felt a little ashamed, and muttered, "I'm sorry...... I'm sorry! β
"Alas...... The people of the royal family have their own royal orders, and they are under the nest...... Is there any end to the eggs...... The glory and wealth of the past...... It's also considered ...... It's worthy of them!! Kangxi's tone became more and more difficult, the trace of ruddy of Shicai had already faded cleanly, and at this moment, his face was pale, his breath was like a gossamer, but his expression was as calm as ever, and his eyes were still very clear.
Lin Feng really has nothing to say, no matter what, he has to admit that this is a magnificent emperor, and he is also a man who stands up to the sky, everything he can do, he has done it, he should work hard, even if he faces failure at this moment, in the face of life and death, he can still recognize each other calmly and be generous and chic.
This is definitely not something that everyone can do.
Lin Feng was full of emotion in his heart, and looked down again, Kangxi's breath was already gone, and his pale face looked peaceful, he was once the most noble person in the world, but at this moment it was just a corpse.
Lin Feng sighed heavily, stood up and solemnly bowed to him deeply, was silent for a long time, suddenly pointed to the corpse, turned his head to Chen Menglei and said, "Take him ...... Grace ......"
"Thick burial?!" Chen Menglei asked tentatively.
Lin Feng shook his head, gritted his teeth and said, "Chop off his head and inspect the capital!! β
He walked away a few steps and glanced out of the corner of his eye, and suddenly saw two Qing Dynasty ministers with decadent expressions next to him, and couldn't help but snort, "What are these two guys?!" β
"It's the puppet military department Shangshu Mingzhu and the pseudo university scholar Suo Etu!" Zhao Guangyuan replied cautiously according to Chen Menglei's teaching just now.
"Drag it out and cut it!!" Lin Feng didn't look at it, although he knew that there was a great chance of surrendering, these two guys had never committed suicide, and naturally they were not righteous people, but he was infected by an inexplicable thought at the moment, and he issued an execution order without hesitation.
When a person like Kangxi dies, he can't be too lonely.
Seeing that Lin Feng was in a bad mood, everyone withdrew from the main hall of Qianqing Palace with interest, Chen Menglei hesitated slightly, but stopped and slowly walked behind Lin Feng.
"Mr. Chen, is that you?!" Lin Feng said weakly, he looked down at the little blood on the ground, it was Kangxi's blood.
I don't know why, at this moment, he suddenly felt very empty and lonely, as if he had been suddenly thrown from a high place, empty and untouched, and seemed to be running desperately towards a certain goal, but after crossing the finish line, he was stunned, and there was a feeling of weakness and detachment all over his body.
"Lord!!" Chen Menglei said in a deep voice, "Our army is waiting for everything now, you must take care of your health!" β
"Oh!? Is it? - Okay, of course!! Lin Feng casually said perfunctorily, "I'll take care, thank you!" β
"Chen is not talented, please try to analyze the general trend of the world for the lord!!" Chen Menglei saw that Lin Feng was in a trance, and couldn't help but feel anxious, and hurriedly said loudly.
"The general trend?! The general trend of the world?! ......" Lin Feng silently recited a few words, suddenly reacted, and turned to look at Chen Menglei, "Old Chen, talk about it!" β
"Kangxi died, the Central Plains became a terra nullius, now the former dynasty Jinghua is all in Jiangxi, Hubei, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shaanxi and Gansu, and Wu Sangui and other strong enemies confront, eager not to cross the Yellow River, and north of Shanhaiguan, the Manchu Qing Longxing land troops were withdrawn, temporarily unable to counterattack, obey the previous dynasty as the main Mongolian tribes and Zhun Gelgeldan to contain each other, horses are not allowed to enter the Central Plains, this God gives our army a good opportunity, the lord does not take it, will be punished by God!!"
Lin Feng calmed down, pondered carefully, and said in embarrassment, "Our army is weak now, and even Tianjin Zhili can't eat it for the time being, and he said that he wants to take the Central Plains - how easy is it!" β
"Master tolerance! Today, the center of the Qing Dynasty is in ashes, Emperor Kangxi is in two places, and after the head is passed on to the public, the news reaches Tianjin and Zhili, I expect that they will be at a loss for the emperor, and the people are scattered, and the soldiers have no fighting spirit and no fighting spirit, as long as our army is recuperated, and the enemy sends a general to lead the army to the south in a panic, or surrender, or pacify, it will be fine! ! Chen Menglei said with a smile, "What's more, they don't have food and no salary at all - the Qing court system, the food and salary in the hands of these governors are very small, and they can't hoard unless they have the order of the court, and they can't raise it for a while, how long do you think they can last?" β
Lin Feng suddenly became interested, "We should have a lot of food, right?!" β
"Of course, Kangxi has been hoarding for many years in order to cut the feudal domain, and the household grain inventory is very large, and it is now roughly estimated that it can support the use of one million people in Beijing for a year, and this is not counting the private grain of merchants and large families, and last year's imperial court revenue was more than 23 million taels of silver, excluding expenses plus the surplus over the years, the total amount of silver stored in the household department is 34 million taels ......."
Lin Feng jumped up in fright, and looked at Chen Menglei in disbelief, "You...... You say we have ...... now Thirty-four million taels of silver? β¦β¦β
"Absolutely more than that!!" Chen Menglei shook his head resolutely, "The Zongren Mansion still has the royal treasury, just now I briefly looked through the account books, there are about six million taels, in addition to the private silver of the major royal mansions Baylor, plus all kinds of treasures, the equivalent of silver taels will not be less than fifty million taels!" β
No wonder, no wonder, Lin Feng muttered, no wonder Kangxi dared to turn his face with Wu Sangui, and then fought Geerdan in Taiwan in a row, it turned out that he had already made preparations for a long-term war, it was really amazing!
"This God-given opportunity is for the lord!" Chen Menglei turned over and knelt down, and praised loudly, "At this time, there is no owner in Shenzhou, and the heroes rise together, competing for the world, may my lord forge ahead and dominate the country!! β
"What did you say?!" Lin Feng was stunned for a moment, and suddenly reacted, it turned out that at this moment, history has long been unrecognizable, from the moment Kangxi died, China has entered the Warring States era of competing for hegemony. Thinking of this, his eyes were dark, he couldn't stand anymore, and sat down softly on the main hall of the Qianqing Palace.
A lightning bolt suddenly swept across, the black Forbidden City lit up in an instant, the thunder roared, the wind hissed, the gate of the Qianqing Palace was violently blown open, crackling opening and closing, the bean raindrops violently knocked on the glazed tiles of the roof, and a fine dingdong sound was like a drum beating endlessly.
After such a long delay, this long-brewing storm finally came.

Notes at the end of the volume: 1, the name of the chapter "Hebei" takes the ancient meaning, not to refer to modern Hebei Province.
2. Some of the official positions, names and the Qing military structure in this chapter have been changed for other reasons, which can be understood as the "butterfly effect" if the reader investigates.
3, some of the Qing generals in this chapter draw on some of the settings of Mr. Jin Yong's "Deer and Ding Ji", such as the time and place of Tuhai, Shi Lang, Zhao Liangdong, Sun Sike and others, all of the above are real historical figures, and the people listed in them are indeed famous generals of the Kangxi Dynasty.
4. Because of the needs of the plot, the author has modified some of the historical figures appearing in the text, such as the age and life experience of Zhou Chang (Zhou Peigong), Li Guangdi, Chen Menglei and others.
5, the Kangxi Dynasty arquebus that appears in this book is based on real historical events (see "Qing Historical Manuscript β’ Shizu Benji"), the text classifies the gun into the artillery category (at that time, the specifications of the gun were different, but in terms of weapon performance, the author personally believes that in the use of weapons in the war at that time, most of them can be classified as small shotgun artillery), so the number of artillery varies greatly, and its scientific and technological level has not been tampered with for the time being. Another: flintlock pistol technology appeared and was recorded in books at the end of the Ming Dynasty, and China could develop and manufacture it on its own, and there was also a small amount of equipment in the army at that time; The rifling in the musket in this chapter refers to straight rifling, which was introduced from Turkey in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and installed in the three major battalions of the Ming army in Beijing (see the "History of the Ming Dynasty"), which can be completed by handicraft workshops without the need for tools such as lathes, which is different from the spiral rifling mentioned in modern times.
6. The beginning of this book, that is, the protagonist's sneak attack on Beijing, belongs to the author's personal conjecture, borrowed from some historical materials to fictionalize, without any value for scrutiny and discussion, please do not attack the author with this. Some of the materials listed here are used as some hardware references in this book.
During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, the actual soldiers of the Eight Banners Army (excluding the Mongolian servant army) were about 160,000 people, divided into two parts: Beijing camp and garrison, under normal circumstances, the garrison in Beijing and its surrounding areas should be about 6-80,000 people, but during the rebellion of the three feudatories, because the army of the three feudatories expanded extremely rapidly, Kangxi was very bold to send the northern army south, and the garrison near Beijing was evacuated in large quantities. The sudden rebellion disrupted Kangxi's arrangement of the war situation, and in order to stabilize the overall situation, he had to send troops from the north again to reinforce the Shaanxi-Gansu-green battalion, at this time Beijing's defense was extremely empty, but at this critical moment, the Suiyuan Chahar tribe took the opportunity to rebel and threaten Beijing - please note that the Manchu Qing Dynasty was different from the Ming Dynasty, she did not set up a Great Wall defense line, and its Datong and Xuanfu did not carry out key defenses, that is, the Mongol cavalry of Suiyuan could be killed directly to Beijing. In such an extremely dangerous situation, Emperor Kangxi tried his best to search for troops, and even the slaves did not let go, and reluctantly squeezed out a force from the Beijing area again, which shows the sinister situation.
The image of Kangxi that we see now on the screen or in the official history is very powerful and wise, in fact, this is not true, in the early and middle of the war, he made a lot of mistakes, and some very fatal mistakes - it is conceivable that Kangxi was only in his twenties and had no military experience, and his enemies were all famous generals in a hundred battles, if it is really as history says, from the beginning step by step without mistakes, it is indeed an incredible thing.
According to the "Qing Historical Manuscript", a civilian figure named Yang Qilong (estimated to be the boss of the underworld) actually dared to launch a rebellion in the capital, trying to use some ruffians and hooligans to control Beijing.
In the "Lu Ding Ji" written by Mr. Jin Yong, Shunzhi explained to Kangxi after becoming a monk that if the war was unfavorable, the Eight Banners should quickly retreat back to Liaodong - this is based on evidence, because the total strength of the Eight Banners at that time was 16 or 70,000, and many people did not have the confidence to carry out a long-term war in the interior of the Central Plains. Later generations took Kangxi as the "holy ancestor" of the Manchu Qing Dynasty, and it was indeed under his leadership that the Manchus completely conquered the Han people, and since then they have been slaves to the ground. The difficulty of its business is especially better than the creation, and it is for the Holy Ancestor.
From the analysis of written materials, the historical records left by the Qing Dynasty are the most untrustworthy compared to other dynasties, and the cultural persecution of official policies is also unprecedented. The "Qing History Manuscript" compiled by the Beiyang government was slightly better, but the compilation and presiding officer Zhao Erxun had a wrong position and was very vague about this history.
The fictional military operation in this book is aimed at this situation at that timeβit is a very short historical moment, that is, Tuhai led the last mobile force of the capital to Suiyuan, together with the Mongol allies who submitted to the Qing Dynasty to extinguish the Chahar rebellion, Kangxi and the Minister of War planned to complete the campaign in 2-3 months (and it was also completed in history), and then immediately returned to Gyeonggi to consolidate the defense. What the protagonist in the book grasps is this short period of time, but from a military point of view, even if Beijing is as empty as in the description, in addition to the difficulties in sea transportation and landing, only with the quality of the army commanded by the protagonist, it is impossible to complete this tactical task, in the end, the Gyeonggi area is densely populated, and it is indeed too difficult for a 5,000-strong army to carry out a secret sneak attack. There is no chance of breaking the city quickly.
In fact, at that time, only Taiwan's Zheng Jing should have the ability to launch this operation, and only the Taiwan fleet had the ability to provide amphibious combat support, if Zheng Jing did not care about the little bit of Fujian at that time, and drew out a 15,000-20,000 people of the Marine Corps to land in Gyeonggi, I am afraid that there will be no birdmen in the future who will dare to sing and live for a few hundred years, but it is a pity that Zheng Chenggong died young, and his descendants have more than enough to guard the household and not make enough progress, which cannot but be said to be a huge historical regret.
As an overhead fantasy novel, the author believes that this kind of plot does not need to be studied too much, what the author can do is to find out the existence of this possibility in history, and then use it, and use literary means to pass it in general, such as taking a boat in the book to transport slaves, dressing up as a Qing army after going ashore to disguise and deceive, using water eunuchs to blow up the door and break the city, etc., which is in line with logic and the laws of ordinary people's thinking, and is acceptable to people. Just like Mr. Huang Yi's "The Legend of Double Dragons of the Tang Dynasty" Kou Zhongzhi Yuliangdu (of course, the author is never qualified to compare with Master Huang, here is just an example and metaphor).
In addition, as long as the city defense center is mastered, the 5,000-strong force is enough to control Beijing, in fact, after the elimination of the resistance, 1,000 to 1,500 people are enough to maintain basic order, although the population of the city is nearly one million.
The reason why I have gone to such great lengths to write so many words to explain is mainly because I am afraid that some book lovers will take advantage of the horns, and the author hereby reiterates that this book is an empty fantasy, and the content is purely personal imagination and fiction, and no provocation is welcome, nor does it participate in any debate.
