The handling of wood is even more difficult. In short, the ultimate goal of crossing the public is: a small boat loaded with building materials departs from the base of the kiln area, goes to sea with Xingang Creek all the way, and then circles along the string of sandbanks in the open sea, enters from the mouth of the Dayuan channel, and then crosses the inland sea of the Taijiang River and unloads the cargo to the Chihkan wharf.

The drying kiln is the most urgently needed building at present, and it is also one of the simpler among many material kilns: when the wood is dry, the temperature in the kiln usually does not exceed 80 degrees, compared with other kilns that are often more than 1000 degrees, the drying kiln does not need refractory bricks, and the construction requirements are also low.

The drying kilns of the long dragon type are built with pebbles, river sand, and precious stock cement. In order to save materials, the first drying kiln built by the crossing was only 2.5 meters high, 3 meters wide, and 20 meters long.
