Section 250 Chemical plants (iii)
The combined equipment includes two sets of electrolyzers in the third workshop.
Electrolyzers are essential for the production of a wide range of chemicals. Electrolysis of brine can produce caustic soda, chlorine and hydrogen; Electrolytic oxidation can produce various chlorates, permanganates, and persulfates.
In addition, wet electrolysis can refine metals such as copper, silver, gold, and platinum. The electroplating and electropolishing samples in the workshop are also realized by electrolysis of aqueous solution.
With the third workshop, the traversal can release a lurking gold-absorbing beast mirror.
As early as the 16th century, before the emergence of the Crossing Masses, the Venetians had already invented the cylindrical method to make plate glass, and at the same time invented the tin amalgamation method of attaching tin foil to the glass to make mirrors, and this 20 version of the mirror gradually reduced the traditional metal mirror.
Historically, silver nitrate was used to make mirrors until 1835, when the German chemist Libige appeared. He mixed silver nitrate with a reducing agent to precipitate silver nitrate, and then attached it to the glass to make 30 versions of the mirror. As for the real galvanized silver mirror, it would be almost 100 years before the British would invent this technology.
And now that the third workshop has been established, it will soon be possible to make 40 versions of modern mirrors by electroplating.
After blasting away the troublemaker gang led by the emperor, Hong Xu began to gather workers to arrange production tasks under the admiring gaze of the other three chemical dogs.
There aren't many workers in chemical plants.
Although as long as Hong Xu opens his mouth, the hundred people can be sent over, but this kind of routine is not good in chemical factories where an accident will occur if you screw the wrong valve, the more laymen, the faster everyone will die.
Therefore, in the newly opened chemical plant, not counting those who do rough work on the periphery, there are now only 32 people who are qualified to work on the production line.
Among these 32 people, 20 are ordinary workers, and then 4 are traversers, each with 2 apprentices, there is no way, it's so shabby.
Ordinary workers were brutally selected during the previous barbaric production. These people are docile and obedient natural selections, and those who let themselves go are either crippled or dead.
And the apprentices are even more precious.
Chemistry is an advanced science, and if a person wants to get in touch with chemistry, then his basic mathematics level must be at least a primary school graduate.
Although the primary school, the core education department of the crossing force, has now expanded to three. But just over a year has passed since everyone landed, and a large number of elementary school students have not yet graduated.
Although the Crossing Primary School has canceled art classes, music classes, computer classes, English classes, and moral and life classes; But even so, it is impossible for a student to graduate in mathematics in 1 year, even if there is a top student, it is a young baby, which is reserved for further study, and cannot be used to become a technician.
Therefore, the skilled talents they need can only be found from the literate Mingren boys. This requirement is very harsh, those who are old and whose knowledge structure has been solidified are useless, Hong Xu, what they need is people who are about sixteen or seventeen years old, have enthusiasm for learning, and can endure hardships in the factory.
Through the preliminary screening of the workers' study rooms in each community, coupled with the lure of high wages for another big killer, Hong Xu and the others finally found a group of apprentices before the factory was built.
Before these apprentices came to Dayuan, most of them were gangsters and weavers from the Jiangnan area, and a tidal disaster near Hangzhou at the end of July this year bankrupted a large number of rural yeoman farmers and the working class in the cities in the rich areas of Jiangnan.
As the area with the highest literacy rate in the Ming Dynasty, these displaced people who were rushed from the Jiangnan area have let the departments that pass through the subordinates have a fat year.
You must know that the quality of the weavers from the Jiangnan area is much higher than that of those who can only farm.
Many of these medieval workers were literate and collaborative, able to endure the boring industrial processes, and with a casual training, they were able to move seamlessly into almost every factory under the jurisdiction of the kiln district.
Half of Hong Xu's eight apprentices were children from the weaver family.
After summoning the workers and apprentices to emphasize the precautions again, with the order of Hong Xu, everyone put on imported orange protective clothing, and then everyone took their places, started the equipment, ignited the boiler, and began the first trial production of sulfuric acid at the Heishigou Chemical Plant.
The production process of sulfuric acid is relatively simple, which is more suitable for practice. Workers first pour the bright yellow sulphur blocks from the Taipei volcano into the feed port, and the sulphur blocks are fed into the molten sulphur tank by the belt.
The sulphur bath quickly heats the sulphur into a liquid and transports it to a storage tank. During this process, 05 pA steam is used to maintain the sulphur's liquid form.
After the liquid sulfur enters the tank, it is first pressurized by the refined sulfur pump, then atomized by a sulfur gun, and finally sprayed into the sulfur incinerator.
The environment required in the sulfur incinerator is also very harsh, and the air must first be filtered, then pressurized by a blower, and the concentrated sulfuric acid absorbed and dried before being sent into the furnace cavity.
This is followed by a series of absorption and concentration procedures. The sulfur gas will be constantly circulating in the absorption tower and niacin tower, through the circulation tank, circulating pump, spraying, concentration and other processes, and finally enter the storage tank, that is, the finished sulfuric acid with a concentration of more than 98.
The whole process was completed without much fluctuation under the operation of 4 traversals. After all, it comes from the 21st century, and even on this simple sulfuric acid production line, there are still various monitoring, temperature control, and automatic management of the control end, and the operator does not need to bother.
The finished sulphuric acid was eventually packed into some thick glass jars. This is probably the most high-tech support that the kiln area can now give to the chemical plant, and all that remains is the thick black reactor brackets and carts.
After the whole set of processes was completed, Hong Xu and the others immediately turned into people's teachers, and began to give lectures to workers in various positions as soon as possible.
For ordinary workers, Hong Xu has no special requirements. These semi-literate brains do not have the concept of pressure, gas, liquid, and pH, they are actually the same as the workers on the assembly line in later generations, as long as they complete a fixed few actions on the post, just listen to the shouting honestly, for them, following the rules is the greatest success.
The focus is on those 8 apprentices.
These young people, who were trained as future section leaders, workshop directors, and factory directors, respectfully followed behind the teacher, shuttling through the sea of valves and pipes, and listening to the detailed on-site lectures. They can ask questions at any time and get answers that go out of their way.
