In the second year, there was a bumper harvest of rice, but it rained every day, the new grain was on the field, and it could not be cooled and sunned, and the millet was piled up in each household, and the water vapor on the ground was heavy, and many millet sprouted. The loss this year is too great, and my three teams are the most.

Since we are all from other provinces and are not adapted to the climate here, the number of sick people in each team has increased dramatically, and the personnel of the field health station often go down to the company to make rounds for treatment, and it is difficult to achieve results for a while. The first reason is the lack of nutrition, and the second is that the humidity is too heavy, both of which induce many diseases, and now there are many natural disasters, material scarcity, life is very difficult, and everyone is trying to improve their lives.

Wang Sanhai, the field manager, is a "realist" and far-sighted. In order to improve the lives of the workers, he immediately mobilized all teams to plant rice, sweet potatoes, and buds, and raise pigs and fish. The average annual temperature of Mengbalasi is 21 degrees, and tilapia can grow all year round, and it can reach two or three taels per tail after two months of stocking. If there is rice bran, pig manure, snails, earthworms, etc., each tail can reach one or two catties within a year. Tilapia is delicious whether it is stewed, grilled, or braised. This fish is similar to the crucian carp in Yuzhang Province, with tender meat, delicious taste and few fish bones. Later, the farm learned to breed large fish such as grass carp, bighead carp, and carp on its own, so that the variety of fish on the farm workers' tables became more colorful.

Wang Sanhai is a down-to-earth pragmatic faction, and he put forward the economic development strategy of "raising the long with the short, promoting the long with the short, and combining the long with the short", which has mobilized the enthusiasm of the majority of workers and promoted the great economic development of our field.

"Short" is a variety of operations, a variety of short-term crops, such as pigs, fish, ducks, sweet potatoes, buds, cassava, peanuts, soybeans, vegetables, etc., to solve the problem that workers can eat enough, eat well, and have meat, fish, and vegetables on the table, so that workers can be strong and strong, and reduce the number of diseases.
