Chapter 169: Desperate Situation
Anna worried, "Is it possible that they met the same group of people who chased us before, and they were caught!" β
Jones frowned and thought for a moment and said: "It's not very likely, Ned once said that those people seem to be very afraid of this forest, and it can be seen these days that there are very few crops close to the direction of the forest, including firewood that is usually used for cooking and they don't come to this forest to cut down." Now there are two possibilities, one is that they are lost, and we just need to wait patiently for them to come back. The second is that they are in danger. β
Anna pulled Jones and said eagerly: "Then what are you waiting for, let's hurry up and save them!" β
Jones dissuaded: "We can't save them now, not only can't we go, but we must get out of here as soon as possible, the forest at night is even more dangerous, and we will save them after dawn tomorrow." β
Anna also calmed down, and the two of them hurried out of the camp after eating some leftovers, leaving a note before Jones left: "Dear Bruce, Ned, Chrissy, you were not at the camp when we returned, and we were very worried. We decided to hide in the village for the night and then come back after dawn to look for you. If you return safely, don't worry about us, we will be back tomorrow morning. βJones"
The two took advantage of the moonlight to go back to the small village on the edge of the forest, found a haystack and simply cleaned up and slept with their clothes. Half-snoring, the two of them were awakened by a sudden shout. Anna listened attentively for a while, and her face suddenly changed: "Jones, it seems that there are bandits in the village, and I heard the voice of help." β
Jones also chuckled in his heart, grabbed Anna and ran: "Hurry up!" β
The two fled the village in a panic, the first half of the night was still bright and the moon was in the sky, but the second half of the night was already a dark moon and high wind. Jones and Anna only cared about running for their lives, so how could they take that route? Look in a remote direction and run for your life. Suddenly feeling a trip under their feet, the two of them rolled on the ground twice like a gourd, and then got up and were surrounded by more than a dozen men with axes, big knives, and stubbled beards.
The first man with a double-edged axe said something, which immediately caused everyone to laugh. With a wave of his big hand, the first two small minions with broken knives tied their hands and dragged them backwards like cattle.
Anna was half frightened to death, and said to Jones in a trembling voice, "They speak the Coltic language, and they should be the tribal bandits of the west." We're going to be finished! β
Jones was also horrified, but it was a matter of life and death, so he could only calm down and whisper: "Since they didn't kill us at the first time, then they shouldn't want our lives again, follow them first, and then act when the opportunity comes." β
The minions soon brought them to a meeting point, where they saw that the captives were both men and women, but they were all young men, and there were no old people or children. Like them, tie them together with a rope like a string of sugar gourds. The little minions pushed them into the group of captives, said a cruel word they didn't understand, and then ignored them.
The two of them followed the example of the others, and honestly squatted on the ground and waited for the hair to fall.
After an hour or so, a group of men in tattered armor and horses on war horses came beating horses. The leader was the strongest, and his eyes swept over the group of captives, and he shouted twice, and the little minions below immediately raised their weapons and howled twice. Then a large group of men and horses with prisoners prepared to retreat.
The boss rode his horse, and the minions followed, but they couldn't run fast, and Jones and Anna could still keep up, but those who didn't follow were stabbed by the minions of the temple and sent to Jesus.
Running until dawn in one go, the boss on horseback gave the order to rest. The bandits ate the wine and meat they had stolen from the villagers' houses, but the only thing they gave to the captives was a jar of cold water that had just been brought up from the river. The captives scrambled to finish their drinks, and Jones and Anna barely took two sips. One of the bold captives begged the boss to give him some more food, and the boss grinned and said something. Then a small bandit stepped forward, threw his weapon on the ground, and shouted twice at the captive.
Anna explained to Jones, "The captive wanted something to eat, and the bandit boss agreed, saying that if he defeated his men, he would join them, and he would be able to drink wine and eat meat." β
The captive spat twice into his hand and rushed towards the little leader with a shout. In less than a turn, the captives were lying on the ground and couldn't get up. After shouting twice at the captive without any response, the little leader became angry, took up his big knife and fell with his sword, and another poor man returned to the arms of Jesus.
Jones's eyes flickered, "Do you think his words count?" You won't be killed if you win the challenge, right? β
Anna shook her head, "What do you want to do?" Don't go, that man is so strong, you can't beat him! β
Jones patted her on the shoulder and comforted, "Don't worry, they only know how to use brute force, and they don't have any fighting skills at all." If you can join them, at least they will be able to save their lives. After saying that, he stood up and shouted, "I want to challenge!" β
Although the bandit couldn't understand what he was saying, his behavior was understandable, and the nearby minions quickly helped him loosen the rope and pushed him to the center of the field.
Jones also got out of the way, pointing to the two men next to the little boss and hooking his fingers, signaling that he was going to hit three. Boss Tufei couldn't help but light up when he saw his movements, and motioned for the two people to go up together.
The three men had never been humiliated in this way since they had been bandits, and they dropped their weapons and moved their joints to prepare to teach Jones a hard lesson.
Although Jones is only the primary and secondary school fighting champion of Queens Street in Glasgow, he absolutely crushes the three bandits at the technical level. Block the first bandit with your left hand, followed by a knife in the neck with your right hand. The first man lay straight on the ground.
While the other two were stunned, Jones kicked forward and kicked firmly in front of one of them, and the man lay down before he had time to hum.
The rest of the small leaders quickly retreated when they saw the situation, and Jones was unforgiving, followed by two consecutive flying kicks, and the small leaders raised their arms to withstand Jones's attack, but the people fell to the ground uncontrollably. Jones seized the opportunity to ride on him and hit him with two punches, but neither of these punches really hit, and he stood up again after two staggers, leaving only the little leader to hold his head on the ground in a daze.
The bandit boss was so happy to see it that he smiled and stepped forward to hammer Jones on the chest to show his recognition of his strength. The rest of the bandits also screamed excitedly.
Jones smiled kindly at the bandit boss and reached out to pull the little leader who was still lying on the ground up. The little boss punched him twice convincingly. The bandit boss said a few words to the little leader, and the little leader nodded in agreement.
The little boss pointed at Jones, and then patted his chest, meaning that you will mess with me in the future. Jones smiled and nodded in agreement. The little leader took a piece of roast meat from his baggage and handed it to Jones. Jones took the barbecue and pointed in Anna's direction, and without waiting for the little leader to agree, he ran to Anna's side and handed the barbecue over and said, "Honey, eat quickly, now that I have joined them, don't worry, I will also rescue you when I have the chance." β
Anna nodded, grabbed the barbecue and devoured it, she hadn't eaten any flavorful food in days, and in the forest they had no spices except grilled fish. Although this barbecue is quite rough, it has a salty taste. A good lady of the 21st century has eaten something more ugly than a medieval bandit.
The little boss followed up and said something to Jones. Anna, who was feasting on it, tried to swallow the barbecue in her mouth and said happily: "Honey, my chance has come, and he asked you what your relationship is with me. Without waiting for Jones to speak, she replied herself, "I am his brother." Then he said to Jones, "Don't reveal our true relationship, I told him that I am your brother." β
Jones couldn't help but look at Anna below the neck, and saw that the originally small part was tightly covered by the loose robe, and nodded approvingly, "I understand." β
The little boss grinned and helped Anna untie the rope as well, and circled around her twice, frowning and shaking his head and saying a word. Anna raised an eyebrow and replied. The little leader laughed, patted Anna on the shoulder, and motioned for them to go back to the group with him.
