Chapter 297: 100 million is repeated

As a Confucian and businessman, Ah Ci strictly followed the teachings of his master Confucius, put morality first, reasonably and legally seek benefits, and must not "see profit and forget righteousness".

It is precisely because of his continuous practice of the idea of righteousness and benefit, and the organic combination of Confucian ethics, divine consciousness and culture with business behavior in business activities, that Ah Ci has made many achievements in business.

Faith is the foundation of life, emphasizing the combination of faith, righteousness and goodness. Ah Ci later held an official position in the defense of the country, bought and sold cheaply among Cao Lu, and became rich in business, among the seventy high-ranking disciples of Confucius, Ah Ci was the richest. Confucius was so poor that he couldn't even eat chaff, and he was trapped in the alleys, but he was connected by chariots and horses, noisy and prominent, and four horses and a chariot came to meet Confucius.

Zigong also used silk goods to make friends with the princes, everywhere he went, the monarch did not treat each other with equal courtesy, and he also made Confucius famous all over the world, Ah Ci This people could not react at that time, I don't know how to bribe and accept bribes, it is still right, but now it is not good, even the monarch has let the silver buy it out?

Ah Ci is also engaged in investment, Sima Qian recorded that he "100 million is repeated", 100 million is judgment, he judges what can make money, and then invests, this thing can still make money. The most important thing is operation and planning, for example, Zigong lobbied Wu to attack Qi, knowing that after the lobbying was successful, he began to purchase grain and store strategic materials in Qi State, and waited until the soldiers came to the city and then rose sharply, so he naturally made a lot of money!

Ah Ci's strategy to make money is a bit like Soros, using the herd effect to play in the business world, and then withdraw before others understand.

However, there are few records of specific investment projects, and it is not clear in history, and it is estimated that in addition to the old business of main jade, the rest are also some shady war wealth. Sima Qian's biography of a merchant "The Biography of the Goods Colony", the second merchant written is Ah Ci. In fact, Ah Ci should be the first big businessman recorded in history in China.

The first big businessman Tao Zhugong who made a fortune in the "Biography of the Goods Colony" was after Ah Ci, who was the richest man in the world at that time, and later put all his family files into the lectures, and then Tao Zhu Gong appeared! Sima Qian didn't know why he was put in front of Ah Ci, maybe he was a little dissatisfied with instigating war in the world for him, and making war money.

The most remarkable thing about Ah Ci is not his magical ability to make money, but his unique way of spending money. Historically, there have been many people who have more money than him; But what is worth spending money is better than what he spends, no. Most of his money was contributed to Confucius's travels around the world, "Whoever makes Confucius's name known in the world will be given succession." This kind of money is spent where it is done, and it is the most deserved.

Good at making money but not working for money, this kind of person is still very open-minded!

The Analects of Yongye once recorded that Ji Kangzi asked Confucius if Zilu, Ah Ci, and Ran Qiu could be in politics, and Confucius replied that all three of them could do so: "From (Zilu) also fruit", "Give (Ah Ci) also reach", "Seek (Ran Qiu) also art". Judging from the three virtues listed by Confucius, we feel that the virtue of Ah Ci - "accessibility" seems to be indispensable for politicians.

Imagine that if a person who is engaged in politics can "understand the reasoning of affairs," he will be able to grasp the overall situation and the whole of the problem from a macro perspective, and handle political affairs in an orderly manner. It is precisely because Ah Ci is well-versed in affairs and has outstanding "speech" talents that he will be hired by Lu, Wei and other countries as a complement.

It is precisely because of his political talent that he was able to succeed in the diplomatic activities of the envoys to Qi, Wu, Vietnam, and Jin.

Talent and virtue, throughout the ages are rarely perfect, if people have strengths, there must also be shortcomings. If its strengths are used to make up for its weaknesses, then there will be no one in the world who will not be used; If we criticize people's shortcomings and abandon their strengths, then everyone in the world will be discarded.

Even if a saintly person like Yi Yin and Zhou Gong and a virtuous person like Mo Zhai and Yang Zhu ask for the opinions of the melon eaters about them, who can avoid being ridiculed and suspicious?

Ah Ci once asked Confucius: "Master, for example, if everyone in the village likes to chase stars, what is this public figure like?" Confucius was a little disdainful: "No, I still look down on it." ”

Ah Ci asked again: "If the people in the village hate him, what is the character of this public figure?" Confucius said, "It's not a bad thing." It is better if the good people in the township like him, and the bad people in the township hate him, so that he is perfect. ”

This is because the interests of the gentleman and the villain must be opposite, and listening to the words of the gentleman will abolish the evil way of the villain; And listen to the words of the villain, and the right way of the gentleman will perish.

Confucius also said: "If you don't learn "Poetry", you can't speak", in the study of "Poetry", Confucius not only asked students to understand the original meaning of "Poetry", but also required them to be able to "learn and apply Poetry".

Confucius thought that Ah Ci's answer was very appropriate, and that "taking the words out of context" was just right, so he praised Ah Ci: "It can be said that the poem has been completed", and said that Ah Ci "told those who know the past and knew the future", thinking that his understanding of the poem had reached the point of comprehension. As for what is so good about "Poetry", no one in later generations can really understand her, so many books and words are all people who have not read "Poetry", that is, the brick family who claims to understand the king!

In the Analects, there is another person who gives his disciples such a high praise of "the beginning can be said to be the "poem", that is, Zi Xia, and Zi Xia is an excellent person in "literature", which shows that Ah Ci is not only extremely excellent in "words", but also not inferior to Ziyou and Zixia's disciples in "literature".

"Historical Records: The Biography of Zhongni's Disciples" once said: "Ah Cili argues skillfully, and Confucius often dethrones his arguments", it seems that the two living treasures of this master and apprentice are often noisy and argue about some rights and wrongs.

Ah Ci's talent in "speech" is his shuttle diplomatic activities to Qi, Wu, Yue, and Jin. Although it has disturbed the world, caused smoke everywhere, and ruined the people, it cannot deny someone's talent against the sky! In this diplomatic activity, Ah Ci gave full play to his brainwashing talents, so that the monarchs of the four countries were convinced of his analysis of interests and interests, and they all got into it! And they all adopted his ideas, and were led by the nose by someone.

"Historical Records • The Biography of Zhongni's Disciples" contains: "A gave an envoy, so that the situation was broken, and in ten years, the five countries had their own changes", specifically: Cunlu, chaotic Qi, broken Wu, strong Jin and domineering. Ah Ci's superb oratorical skills and diplomatic ability were also vividly displayed in this diplomatic activity!

Ah Ci is an only son, from his grandfather to his father, he is an official family, and he is also a famous businessman, and he started with jade. The original family was extremely wealthy, and was born in the Shang Dynasty descendants of the nobles of the country, and later became a disciple of Confucius did not stop doing business, although Confucius did not like it, but if there is no Zigong, Confucianism is at best a speck of dust in the history of the Spring and Autumn Period!
