Chapter 4: Brave New World
I don't know how many countless days have passed, and the sleeping Hongjun was awakened by a more and more violent vibration, and he didn't have time to look at the various plants that had stretched into a large area of vigorous growth. I saw a huge circular object in the sky quickly approaching the planet, which was still yellow as a whole. It is getting bigger and bigger, and even now only the upper part of it can be seen, and the lower part is hidden by the surface so that it cannot be observed, and slowly, it disappears below the horizon, although it is not visible, but Hongjun still feels a huge unprecedented sense of crisis. He turned around and jumped into the sea at an unprecedented speed, desperately running deeper below, and even found that it was faster to move the water with his hands than on a muddy beach in the face of imminent danger.
Just outside of Hongjun's sight, on the opposite side of the planet, a gray-black planet almost 1/10 the size of the planet was tilting and hitting the northernmost point of the planet from the bottom up. The part that had been in contact with it burst into purple-red flames in the direction of the void, as if the closest part of the gray-black planet was burning, but before it had time to burn more parts, the two sides collided violently together, and the violent impact directly knocked out the northern end of the entire planet, as if the northernmost piece of land on the planet was completely cut off and flew out of the planet, exposing a huge sea of magma in the depths of the planet. The part of the sea to the south of the impact point was smashed directly out of the planet, and the sea water that was not smashed out also set off waves as high as the sky to hit the south.
With a loud creaking sound, the entire planet was knocked out of its original position, rotating from due south and north from west to east and was knocked into an angle of more than 50 degrees. (It's like rotating a string of sugar gourds, placing them straight up and down between your two hands and rubbing them to make him rotate, and putting the string of sugar gourds down at an angle in one direction, at this time, the direction of the spin for the sugar gourd remains the same, but it changes its pointing angle)
The Gray-Black Planet's falling velocity finally slowed down, and the lower half of it was torn apart and collapsed more than half under the tremendous impact, while the upper part stood like an upside-down bowl where the sea and land met.
At this time, a large area of land that had been cut away flew away from the planet, and it was completely separated and could not come back.
And the monstrous waves in the south spread across the entire planet at breakneck speed, quickly submerging the vast expanse of lava that leaked out of the northernmost sea. What happens when water meets magma? Large swaths of seawater were instantly vaporized and thrown into the sky, spreading around the world faster than a typhoon, but they still couldn't stop the boundless waves, and it took dozens of times to restore calm. In this process, 1/5 of the world's seawater was directly smashed out, and then 1/5 was evaporated by the northernmost magma sea of the planet, and nearly half of the seawater almost disappeared. At this time, the gas evaporated by the magma sea is still raging around the world, and the change in the rotation angle of the planet itself has further aggravated the operation of the global gas, and it seems that it will not stop for a long time.
In the short time before the whole impact occurred, Hongjun swam as deep into the sea as possible, and suddenly found that this was the location of the impact when he first came to this planet, and at this time it had been poured in by the seawater, and the original impact crater had also become part of the seabed, and the seagrass here was actually more vigorous than the shore growth. In the thriving seagrass, there seems to be a spiral that is spinning, like a galaxy that has shrunk hundreds of millions of times, but it is still the size of a volcano. Seeing this thing, Hongjun was not particularly overjoyed, remembering that he was brought into this space by an object like this, since there was a great natural disaster, why not fight it, even if he returned to the endless void, it would be much safer than the status quo here. I didn't have time to think about it, so I grabbed a few handfuls of nearby seaweed and resolutely entered the spiral. But I didn't want to be not only unsuccessful, but was bounced back some distance. When he approached and touched it again, he found that the spiral body was elastic like a curtain of water, and with more force in his hand, he passed through the seemingly non-existent membrane, which seemed to require a certain speed or force to pass through. Dozens of steps backwards, accelerated with all his might, and crashed headlong into it.
After a short time, the wet Hongjun came to a new place, and when he looked at it, he found that the planet here was not very big, at least not as big as the one that had escaped, because the horizon was not far as far as the eye could see. Although it was not as large as the planet from which it had escaped, it could be seen through at a glance, and the gray rocky ground ran from one end to the other, without any undulations at all. And there is no air, no gas, you can easily see the endless void when you look up, and the dense stars almost fill the entire field of vision. It seems that the planet is close to the center of the galaxy. Since there is nothing here, even if you can't grow it in your hands... I just thought about it halfway through but found that the seagrass in my hand had completely dried up as if it had lost any life, but there was a layer floating next to the seaweed that was neither like freezing, nor like gas or water, and it felt like water in the seaweed. Throwing away the corpse of seaweed but finding that the speed of falling was extremely slow, a look of confusion was written on Hongjun's face, it seems, there are still too many unknowns in this world...
After sighing, I found that many things were spewing out from one end of the spiroche, and when I looked over, I found that it was the sea water running from the other end, and I thought about how I got here, and I couldn't help but guess how the other end was a scene of violent turmoil. Turning his head, he saw that the spewing sea water had changed to that strange state in the blink of an eye. Unexpectedly, from one end of the planet, the light is spreading rapidly. Hongjun knows that the planets here can also calculate dates. At this moment, the state of the sea water that came over changed dramatically, and they began to evaporate violently, as if they had exploded into a cloud of gas and quickly disappeared.
In desperation, Hongjun later found the corpses of the seaweed and talked to them.
For dozens of days after that, there was often seawater coming from there, and if it was at night, the water would become solid and cold to the touch, but the parts that came into contact with the hand would quickly evaporate. During the day, the solid water that persists at night or the water that runs over will evaporate.
I'm getting more and more curious about these worlds.
Unable to determine how long the natural disaster on the other side would last and not knowing how much damage it would cause, Hongjun had no choice but to live on this gray planet for a long time, wandering around with the corpse of seagrass when he was fine. I don't know how long I have been wandering, but I found that there are many stones on this planet from time to time, some large and some small, and every time they fall, they will cause large or small craters on the land of the planet.
This is the 7,000th lap that Hongjun has made on the planet. When I was walking in one direction for the first few dozen laps, I found that I could walk around it in about 3 days. But it seems that each day/night cycle here is much longer than the planet opposite the Rainbow Bridge (the spiral is named the Rainbow Bridge). It's been a long time since the Rainbow Bridge has had any other seawater running out of the opposite side. The ground here is full of whole rocks, and it's so hard that it's impossible to dig some rocks out by hand, and there is really nothing else to do on this planet except stones and stone pits.
On this day, Hongjun, who was already idle and about to rust, came to the rainbow bridge again, and the colorful entrance seemed to have a great attraction to him, and his eyes were staring closely, thinking of the desolation and crampedness here, and the world opposite seemed to be a better place for him. But I was anxious about the situation on the other side, and I was afraid of the scene of the huge planet crashing into that day.
Eventually, curiosity prevailed, and instead of looking at these completely lifeless stones and cookie-grained landscapes, it was the place opposite that was more comfortable. After thinking about it, he no longer hesitated, and trotted all the way to the rainbow bridge.
When I opened my eyes, I noticed that the water had turned a deep blue, as if the outside light could not reach it. I turned my head around and found that the seaweed here was still there, and it had grown to a large extent, and I didn't have time to think about it, so I found a direction and walked away, and suddenly found that this place was much steeper than before, and the shore that could not be reached for a long time before had become much longer at this moment, and there was no trace of the end of walking twice as long. Could it be that the whole world here has been turned into an ocean? After walking for a while, I suddenly found that there were many more objects that I had never seen before, and the whole was still blue-green, and the seaweed grew almost all in the soil, but it seemed to be longer and flatter. And the water here looks a lot clearer, much lighter than the dark blue below. Could it be that in these days of their absence, they have grown new varieties?
It didn't take long for Hongjun to see the white reflective sea water above under the water, it should be the shore, and not long after speeding up his pace, he stepped on the land of this planet once, and at this moment he was indeed frightened by the scene in front of him.
In front of me is a coast that is mostly green as far as the eye can see, and not far away there is a small hill that is not very high, and below the hill is the yellow soil, on which there are more than a dozen different varieties. The short ones are about a few fingers tall, and two or three leaves emerge from each one, pointing almost vertically towards the sky. Taller than them are knee-high varieties of colorful varieties, yellow, red, and purple in various colors, all growing a dozen leaves around a disc in the middle. The tallest seemed to grow to ten of its own heights, with wide, thin leaves sticking out of them, and the number varied. The breeze rustles the tallest species. Hongjun ran towards them like crazy, stopping a few steps closer to them, almost trembling with joy. Bend down and gently caress the flowers of all colors with trembling hands, as if they were the most beautiful and precious thing in the world. Hongjun was lying on the ground excitedly laughing at this time, laughing at himself that after so long, he was afraid that this world had been destroyed by that planet, but in the end he found that this world not only still existed, but also became better than before the impact.
Suddenly, Hongjun's laughter came to an abrupt end, and a big yellow-white star in the sky that shone brightly, which was completely different from the dark red before, and there were white clouds dotted around it next to it. And the previously dim, misty air that could never be dispelled has become so transparent, so pleasant. But at this time, I was attracted by the sound of the noise behind me, and the sea, which had almost no movement before, now became undulating, rushing to the shore again and again, and retreating and making a sound of "boom~~boom". Hongjun has been surprised again and again that he can't do so. If it weren't for the seaweed he found when he first crossed the Rainbow Bridge, he would have almost believed that this was another world he had never been to before. Could it be that in the time since I left, there have been many great changes here?
