The research team of Keanda adopts a four-engine design, conventional aerodynamic layout, lower single wing, single vertical tail, and rear three-point retractable landing gear. The main reason is that the military is too demanding, which can be regarded as a test for Romania's aircraft manufacturing capabilities. The excellent performance of the new strategic aircraft naturally comes to a higher cost, and its unit price is as high as 410,000 lei, which is also the most expensive fighter in the Air Force at present.

Therefore, the military immediately gave the RU80 number after it was finalized, and only placed an order to purchase 98 aircraft, and then purchased another batch because it was very satisfied with the use.

So at present, only 279 bombers of this type have been produced, and they are numbered as two strategic bomber wings (194 and 224 strategic bomber wings).
