180 Sima Zhao and the Women He Related (Middle)

When the army arrived, Sima Zhao asked the court captain He Zhen to send an envoy to Huainan with Fu Jie, to comfort the rebel soldiers, and affirm the imperial court's policy of reversing the punishment and rewarding obedience.

Wu sent more than 30,000 people, including Wen Qin, Tang Zhi, Quan Duan, and Quan Yi, to save Zhuge Dan, and Wei Zhu would meet the attack and could not resist.

General Li Guang cowered in the face of the enemy, and Taishan was too punctual to claim that he was sick and did not send troops, and he was beheaded to show the public.

In August, Wu general Zhu Yi led more than 10,000 troops, left the baggage in the capital, and the army was lightly armed to Li.

Shi Bao, the supervising army, and Chen Tai, the assassin of Yanzhou, resisted Zhu Yijun, and Zhu Yi retreated.

Taishan Taishou Hu Lie attacked Dulu with strange soldiers, burned Zhu Yi's grain and grass baggage, Shibao and Zhoutai attacked Zhu Yi again, and broke his army. Zhu Yi's remnants were hungry and had no food, so they ate kudzu leaves and fled, and the Wu people killed Zhu Yi.

Sima Zhao said:

"Zhu Yi's failure to reach Shouchun was not his own sin, and the Wu people killed him, just to apologize to Zhuge Dan, who guarded Shouchun, and to strengthen his will, so that he still counted on the arrival of rescuers. If not, Zhuge will break through and work hard.

"Or if they think that our army will not last, they will save food, hold on, and wait for other things to happen. It is expected that the way out of the Wu thief will not exceed the above three options. Now we should take a variety of actions to disrupt their hearing and prevent them from escaping, which is the way to win. โ€

Therefore, the army was ordered to complete the encirclement, and some old and weak soldiers were sent to Huaibei to collect food on the spot, and the front-line soldiers were each given three liters of soybeans.

When Wen Qin heard about this situation, he was very happy.

Sima Zhao even asked the soldiers to pretend to be hungry and thin to show the Huainan army, and released many spies to the Huainan army, threatening that the rescue troops of Wu State were coming.

Zhuge Dan and others let the soldiers relax their standards and eat and drink to their heart's content, and the food shortage in the city soon began.

Shi Bao and Wang Ji both asked for an attack, and Sima Zhao said:

"Zhuge tried to rebel, not overnight, gathering grain, improving the city guards, thinking that it was enough to occupy Huainan. Wen Qin and Zhuge Dan are the same evil, and they will not break through and run away casually. If we attack the city urgently, we will inevitably damage our troops. If reinforcements from outside suddenly arrive, it is very dangerous to be attacked by the enemy inside and outside.

"Now that the three traitors are in a lonely city, providence may cause them to perish at the same time. We should take a long-term view and subdue them, and we only need to surround them on three sides and hold our ground. If the thieves come by land, the army will have little food, and we will cut off the transportation of grain and grass with the light cavalry of the rangers, and the rescuers will be broken without a fight.

"The foreign thief has been broken, and Wen Qin and the others will inevitably be arrested."

Quan Yi's mother was Sun Quan's daughter, who was convicted in Wu, and Quan Duan's nephews Quan Yi and Quan Yi escorted their mother to the Wei army. Quanyi's brother Quan Jing was in Shouchun at the time, Sima Zhao used Zhonghui's strategy to write a letter on behalf of Quan Yi and Quan Yi to persuade Quan Jing to surrender, and the five Quan Jing brothers led their subordinates to surrender. There was a great deal of panic in the city.

During this period, Zhong Hui became the general of Wei against Shu Han, and was reused by Sima Zhao to become the general of Zhenxi.

Sima Zhao's wife, Wang Yuanji, has a vicious eye for people, and often says in Sima Zhao's ear that Zhong Hui likes to cause trouble, if he takes him too seriously and the favor is too strong, he will definitely do rebellion, and he must not be reused.

Sure enough, Zhong Hui was arrogant and arrogant after Pingshu, thinking that he had made great contributions, and did not want to be subservient to others again. Therefore, the edict of the Empress Dowager Guo was falsely reported, and she was ready to raise troops to destroy Sima Zhao.

On the seventh day of the first month of the third year of Ganlu (258), Zhuge Dan, Wen Qin and others came out to attack the besieging army, but were repelled by the army. At the beginning, Zhuge Dan and Wen Qin had internal discord, and when it came to an emergency, the two were suspicious of each other.

Later, when Zhuge Dan and Wen Qin were discussing the military, their opinions conflicted, and Zhuge Dan killed Wen Qin with his own hands.

Wen Qin's son Wen Yang attacked Zhuge Dan, but could not win, jumped off the city wall and surrendered to the Wei army.

Sima Zhao appointed Wenyang as a general, and was promoted to marquis, and asked him to go around the city to shout and persuade him to surrender.

When Sima Zhao saw that the defenders of the city were holding bows and not firing arrows, he said to the generals, "It's time to attack the city." โ€

On February 20, the Wei army attacked the city, and the city was breached that day, killing Zhuge and destroying the three tribes. Hundreds of soldiers under Zhuge Dan's command who were unwilling to surrender were also killed. Wu generals Tang Shi, Sun Man, Sun Mi, Xu Shao and others all led their subordinates to surrender, and Sima Zhao gave them knighthoods, and the soldiers who were hungry and sick were provided with food and medicine.

Some people say that Wu Bing must not serve us, and ask that they be buried alive. Sima Zhao said, "Let them go back to show the magnanimity of Great Wei." โ€

They were later migrated to the Three Rivers. In April, he returned to Jingshi. Cao Chao (mรกo) issued an edict to change "Qiutou" to "Wuqiu" in recognition of Sima Zhao's military exploits.

In May, Cao Chao issued an edict to crown Sima Zhao as the Duke of Jin, add nine tins, set up the Jin Kingdom, Sima Zhao resigned nine times, this matter stopped, and changed to increase Sima Zhao's fiefdom by 10,000 households, and ate taxes in three counties. Among the sons who did not have a knighthood, they were all made princes. In July, Sima Zhao hired the descendants of the famous ministers and fathers of the previous life, and he served as a talent.

In June of the fourth year of Ganlu (259), Jingzhou was divided into two parts, with two governors, Wang Ji guarding Xinye, and Zhoutai guarding Xiangyang. Shi Bao was the governor of Yangzhou, Chen Qian was the governor of Yuzhou, Zhong Yu was the governor of Xuzhou, and Song was the military of Qingzhou.

In April of the following year, Cao Chao was forced to issue an edict again to add Sima Zhao as the Duke of Jin, and add Jiuxi, but Sima Zhao resigned again and did not accept it.

Cao Chao saw that the authoritarian day was gone, and he could not be the master of national affairs, so he was uneasy, and he was often worried about being deposed and humiliated, and planned to convene hundreds of officials in the palace to depose Sima Zhao.

On the night of the sixth day of the fifth month of the same year, Cao Chao made the redundant servant Li Zhao and others deploy armor soldiers in Lingyuntai, summoned Wang Shen, and Wang Ye and Shangshu Wang Jing, and said indignantly, "Sima Zhao's heart, even the pedestrians on the road know!" I cannot sit back and wait for the disgrace of being deposed, and now I myself will lead you in a crusade against him. โ€

Wang Shen and Wang Ye hurriedly informed Sima Zhao of the matter, and Sima Zhao summoned the guards Jia Chong and others to be on guard.

Cao Chao knew that the matter was leaked, and led the left and right to attack Sima Zhao's mansion, and when he arrived at Nanque, Jia Chong led his troops to enter from outside and block Cao Chao.

Cao Chao claimed to crusade against the guilty, and those who dared to resist were exterminated, and the soldiers and generals in the prime minister's mansion did not dare to fight.

Jia Chong reprimanded the generals and said, "Sima is fair to feed you, it is for today!"

The prince assassinated Cao Chao by Chengji, Ge Blade came out of his back, and Cao Chao died in the car.

Sima Zhao was shocked when he heard the news, and said to himself, "How should people in the world talk about me!"

Afterwards, Sima Zhao convened hundreds of officials to discuss the cause of the change. He specially invited Chen Tai to a quiet room and said to him, "Uncle Xuan, how will the people of the world view me?" โ€

Chen Tai said, "Only by cutting Jia Chong in half can I apologize to the people of the world." โ€

Sima Zhao said, "Think about how to take a step back. โ€

Chen Tai said, "I only have a further countermeasure, and there is no way to take a step back." โ€

So, Sima Zhao had no choice but to blame Chengji and behead him.

According to "Wei's Spring and Autumn Period", Cheng Ji and his brother Cheng Yan pleaded not guilty, ran to the roof naked, scolded loudly, and were shot by the sergeant.

On the eighth day of the fifth month, Sima Zhao played a recital to the Empress Dowager, claiming: "I wanted to give up my body and wait for Cao Chao's ruling, but considering that Cao Chao wanted to murder the Empress Dowager, he mobilized troops, but he still ordered the soldiers not to harm anyone, and he had continuously sent orders not to approach the Son of Heaven." It was Cheng Ji's private intrusion into the army that led to Cao Chao's killing, and now Cheng Ji's military justice has been carried out, and Cheng Ji's family should also be arrested and handed over to Ting Wei for punishment. โ€

The Queen Mother obeyed him and exterminated the three clans of Chengji.

Sima Zhao thought that Wang Jing was not with him and killed him.
