There are two main reasons for this: first, homeless people do not have a normal family life, and their attitudes towards the other half of the family tend to oscillate between envy (mostly "metaphysical" reverie) and resistance.

There is a popular public opinion on the rivers and lakes that good men should not be close to women.

If they want to be a good man, they can't help but suppress the ** in their hearts and be a good man.

That's why "Water Margin" has a perverted reflection on women.

The second is that there is a sense of fear of women in martial arts life.

Traditional wellness thinking believes that too much exposure to women will deplete the body.

In the Song Dynasty, martial arts mostly sank into the bottom of the society and wandered the rivers and lakes, so that whether a woman is good or not has gradually become the standard for the rivers and lakes to evaluate whether a person is a good man.

Like Wu Song in "Water Margin", Bai Yutang in "Three Heroes and Five Righteousness", Jiang Bofang in "Three Heroes and Swords", etc., once a woman expresses their affection to them, they immediately burst into flames, thinking that they have suffered a great insult.

Zhao Yun in "Tales of the Three Kingdoms" is also like this.

Zhao Fan's banquet of beautiful women has made Zhao Yun extremely unhappy, as for marrying his sister-in-law to himself, from the perspective of the value of the Jianghu people, this is to "pout" (black words, that is, to find a reason and destroy the other party's heroic reputation), so Zhao Yun is so excited.

In addition, Zhao Yun here is also like a reckless hero in the rivers and lakes, he will hurt people when he disagrees, and he will shoot when he should shoot, and finally kill Zhao Fan, which is somewhat similar to Song Jiang who killed Yan Poxi angrily.

As a result, Zhao Yun, who is "not close to women in the style of rivers and lakes", has gradually put on the coat of Confucian ethics and has become a defender of etiquette after being packaged by countless literati.

However, between the lines, he still can't hide his irascible temperament, and Zhao Yun in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" knocked Zhao Fan to the ground with a heavy punch before leaving with his sleeves, which is something that literati can't do anyway.

In other words, the arrow shot by Zhao Yun at Zhao Fan in "The Tales of the Three Kingdoms" was wrapped in layers of Confucian ethics and finally turned into a fist. And this fist, still powerful.

From the shrewd Zhao Yun in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", to the irascible Zhao Yun in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", and then to the Taoist Zhao Yun in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", each Zhao Yun is just a virtual image in the author's mind.
