Chapter 200: The Lone Wolf (39)

A short walk to the south, I saw a mountain in the distance. This mountain is not high, and it is not far away. The hill is green, and you can see a castle-like building at the top of the hill.

I immediately opened the map that D had left behind and looked at the map I had bought at the convenience store, and there was indeed such a mountain on the map, and there was a way up it.

I quickly put away my map and walked for about fifteen minutes to the foot of the mountain. There is no entrance or exit here, and it is just a road that leads directly to the mountain. Originally, I thought it would be some kind of park, but it wasn't at all, because I didn't even see a sign at the bottom of the mountain.

I stopped at the foot of the mountain, and only after I saw someone going up the hill and nothing was going with them. I came to this mountain for the simple purpose of finding a place to hide things, especially a place where I can change my clothes at night.

Not only is the mountain not high, but it is not steep. Therefore, the way up the mountain is not the kind of small road that winds up the mountain, but a relatively straight road that extends to the east side and can be used for cars. Except for the castle-like building, which is a bit steep, the rest of the place is easy to walk. In addition to these, I also found that the mountain is full of religious connotations, and from time to time I can see some statues of monks placed on both sides of the road, and this castle-like building at the top of the hill is actually a monastery on the top of the mountain.

I stopped when I came to this monastery. The view is very good, although you can't look out over the whole of Salzburg, but you can see 120 Markus Street and its surroundings in and around it.

I circled around the monastery before following two other tourists. It seems that this place is open to tourists, and there is no hindrance or questioning after entering. After going around the inside, I went alone to a north-facing window on the second floor of the monastery, where I took out the camera I had with me and looked at number 120 by changing the focus of the camera lens.

In the camera's viewfinder, the balcony on the south-facing side of No. 120 is still the same as before, with no changes. The curtains were still closed, as if no one was living there. At the door, the door is still closed, but the light on the door has been turned off, but I think this light is not artificially controlled by the residents, but is set up like a street lamp.

I pressed the camera shutter a few times and took a few photos before I withdrew my gaze and lowered the camera. It's really a great place to observe during the day. It's a pity that you can't stay here for a long time, after all, there are still staff here. I turned my head to look below the monastery, and on the northern slope of the hill was a dense wooded area that covered the entire slope and looked like a place where no one would set foot on it.

I put away my camera and walked out of the monastery with my bag in my hand. After seeing that no one was looking, I quickly entered the hillside to the north of the monastery. It's obviously a lot steeper than the way up the mountain, and judging by the vegetation on the ground and the surroundings, as I thought, no one is here. Maybe I should hide something here first.

But after thinking about it, I gave up on the idea. I think I should still make good use of this mountain, but I shouldn't hide it at the top of the mountain. The reason is simple, at night, there will certainly not be a few people here, and I will definitely stand out when I walk such a long mountain road. Even if I want to hide, I should find a place near the foot of the mountain to hide, which is more convenient and flexible for me.

Thinking of this, I quickly withdrew from the woods and walked back in the direction I had come up, and when I came to the bottom of the hill, I suddenly noticed that there seemed to be a building in a grove of trees on the north side of the road. I immediately walked inside from a path that resembled a mountain trail, and after passing through a grove of trees I saw a small church.

Unhurriedly, I took my camera and came to the church. There were so few people and it seemed so secluded that I didn't even notice there was a chapel hidden here when I was going up the hill. I went to the church and circled around the church as is customary. After much observation, I spotted a bush on the northwest side of the church. There were no footprints around the bushes, the grass on the ground grew quite tall, and most importantly, the bushes were so dense that it was impossible to see inside from the outside.

I was happy with this place, but I didn't put things here right away. Because it's still early, even if it's safe, I'll have to minimize the time I spend here. I think it's safest to come back in the evening, to come back when the sun goes down, and to leave things that I don't need here after I've become a bum.

So I remembered the position of the bush relative to the chapel and slowly withdrew from the place and left the mountain. After that, I wandered around the neighborhood casually, and after lunch, it was about one o'clock in the afternoon that I staggered back along the Salzach River all the way north to Marcus Street. The route is the same as the one I walked with D before. I walked straight to the intersection of Marcus Road and didn't stop, and just as I was about to pass through the junction, the door to 120 suddenly opened. Then I saw a man walking out with a large garbage bag and walking straight to the big garbage can on the side of the road.

I quickly retracted my gaze and continued to move on, a little excited by what I had just seen. Because while D has always been convinced that the target must not have left in 120, I have nothing to disagree with. But not seeing any movement these days still makes my heart beat a little drum, what if two cunning old fellows sing out the empty city plan?

So after seeing someone walk out of Gate 120 and come out with a garbage bag, I knew my concerns were unwarranted. Everything is moving in the direction we intended.

I continued to walk out, and this time I didn't look at the window on the second floor on the north side again, because it was no longer necessary. But I hadn't gone far before I noticed a figure standing by the river.

This figure was one of the two men he had seen in the hotel before. This man was standing by the river smoking a cigarette at the moment, looking at the river with his eyes, looking very leisurely.

I quickly turned my head in other directions, trying to find the man's companion, but after looking around, I didn't find anything suspicious except for passers-by.

It seems that these people have no clear goal at all. Otherwise, they shouldn't be so laid-back. And just as I was thinking this, a man walked by on the road in front of me on my left. This man was the other of the two in the hotel. The man glanced at me as he walked, and after a brief glance, he walked straight to his companion. I walked to the next junction and turned east on the right hand side and left the road by the river.

After walking about forty or fifty meters, I saw a supermarket on the side of the road. I decided to buy a bottle of water, after all, I had to wander around until dark, which was quite exhausting. But just as I pushed open the door of the supermarket and walked inside, I suddenly noticed that one of the two men appeared at the intersection I had just walked through.
