Chapter 22: The Chase (4)

Kristovic continued to move the car slowly forward, and after about thirty meters, I motioned for him to stop. "You guys get in the car and keep going. I'm going to ask the guy. ”

I opened the door and got out of the car, then trotted all the way to the car that had been tried in the opposite lane and walked briskly to the car parked on the side of the road.

"Sorry to interrupt." I looked at the man, "Do you know what's going on?" ”

The man looked at me and said, "The front is sealed in the direction of Monar." I don't know what to do. Good thing I don't have to go that way. The man smiled gloatingly.

"So, is there a road here?" I said, pointing to the front and saying, "We have something urgent, I don't know if there is any other way to go." ”

"Road? Of course. The man nodded, casually pointed ahead, and said, "There is a fork in the road, but if you take that fork in the road, you will take a detour." The road does not go east, but south and goes back a bit. ”

"How far is it?" I immediately asked.

"Probably... It's about a few hundred meters away, an inconspicuous intersection. But at this rate, you might have to walk for a while. He threw away his cigarette butt and looked at a woman who was walking towards the car and opened the door and returned to the car.

I thanked the man and turned to catch up quickly with our car. As soon as I got into the car, I said, "Get your guns ready." After saying that, I looked at Christovic and said, "Pay attention ahead, there is an intersection about a few hundred meters." We left the road directly. ”

"Understood." Christovic said yes and continued to drive out.

We walked for about two or three minutes for these few hundred meters, and gradually there was more than one convoy in front of us, and it seemed that we were not the only ones who wanted to leave this road. Our car slowly moved through the traffic and slowly merged to the right. Just as we came to the rightmost stretch of road, several cars came from the lane on the opposite side of the road, all of which were police cars. The speed of the car was not fast, and it drove unhurriedly along the road.

"Are these cars here for patrol?" Lukovich, who was in the back seat, said as he watched the cars drive by.

I didn't answer him, there is no need to answer this question. I feel like it's not just patrolling, it's more likely to be checking the fleet for vehicles that they suspect. Luckily, there were two other teams on our left side, which gave us some cover.

Thinking of this, I looked ahead, and we were already approaching the junction, and although there was a queue on the road, it was still much faster than along the main road.

We slowly approached the junction and left the main road, and we didn't have to go far. Sirens sounded on the main road behind us, and several police cars came from the opposite direction and stopped parallel to the intersection, and then several police officers quickly got out of the car and walked through the traffic to the intersection on our side.

"Watch out for those cops." I looked at it and said, "They're carrying guns. As I spoke, I took the G36 that Lukovich handed him from the back seat and gently laid it flat on my legs, "Don't stop, keep going." Get out of here. ”

These policemen quickly came to the intersection, quickly occupied the position of the intersection and set up a cordon. Although some motorists rolled down their windows and complained, the policemen did not care, but forcibly sealed the intersection and signaled all vehicles to continue along the main road.

"The cops look nervous." Salim spoke.

"Not surprising at all." I retracted my gaze and looked back at the front, "After all, we have done such a big thing, there are several police corpses lying in the office area, not to mention the damage caused by a bomb outside the door." No one will let us go. ”

"But we're lucky." Lukovich continued, "Didn't stop us. ”

"Don't be too happy." I shook my head, "I don't know where the road ahead leads yet." The guy I asked told me that the road would go south and even back. ”

"What then?" Lukovic immediately asked.

"Let's take it one step at a time. Find a way to get around, and get it as soon as possible. Now that the police have done it, it's harder to hide our whereabouts. I'm worried that more and more roads will be blocked, and in the end we may really have to come hard. ”

The road after that was more difficult than we thought, not because we encountered any obstacles, but because of the detour... It's a long way to go. It's not just that we are not familiar with life, but more importantly, we don't dare to take the road casually, although we have been lucky enough to avoid the road closure and investigation twice, but we can't rely on luck all the way to Albi, right? So we walked very carefully, which led us to take a lot of unjust paths, and it was not until noon that we actually left the confines of Karonge, but we deviated from the direction of Albi, and drove all the way northeast.

We made any stops along the way, and drove in the direction of the Garonne, and in the evening we came to a place called Villeton, where we made a short stop, where we had to refuel our cars and we all had to eat and rest. I even bought a map at the convenience store at the gas station before leaving, and carefully studied the route before hitting the road again.

With the help of the map, we were able to speed up the road after that, at least the direction was much clearer. After dark, we crossed the Garonne and re-onboarded the highway, heading in the direction of Albi. In the middle of the night we saw signs on the road leading to Monell. According to the signs and maps, the place where we had planned to arrive during the day and from there to cross the Garonne was already to the northwest of us, which meant that we had passed there without any problems.

We drove all night in a row, and the road was very easy to walk this night. The journey went smoothly, passing through the Agen and Montau gangs that we had passed on our way to Bordeaux, but just as we thought we would soon be able to meet up with the men who had picked us up, we were forced to stop at a place called Flossan in the southwest of Albi. Because just as we were running all the way, Semolov, who was about to pick us up, called me. Originally, I thought it was a normal contact to confirm the location of the two sides, but when I got the call, Semolov brought me bad news.

"We're being targeted." That's what Semolov said after I got on the phone.

When I asked him how he was doing, he told me that Albi was no longer safe. He told us to get around Albi immediately and let the old guy Eunice arrange another location.

It caught me off guard, what was going on? And when I asked him what was going on, he didn't say anything and just hung up.

Have a great weekend everyone! Remember to cut the fat... Hahahaha
