Chapter 651: Cooperation with the Jews (Part I)
What made Eder so tempted was, of course, the famous atomic bomb.
Unfortunately, there are no well-known nuclear physicists in Romania. Einstein, whom Eder had always coveted, refused to come to Romania for unknown reasons.
However, according to the grapevine, the history of anti-Semitism in Romania led by Eder was known to the Jews. However, this news has not been confirmed, but the fact that Einstein did not come is certain.
Since the great god didn't come, Eder had to find another way. If you die, do you still have to eat hairy pigs? Subsequently, Romania sent invitations to many nuclear physicists, such as Fermi, Heisenberg, Bohr, etc. However, these well-known scientists may not lack funds, or Romania has no status in the scientific community, and they have refused Romania's invitation, and only two or three kittens have responded to Romania's invitation.
Since none of these well-known scientists were moved by the invitation of Romania, they could only dig inward. Fortunately, Romania did not have a well-known nuclear physicist scientist, and Eder found several others in other areas. The most famous of these is Schrödinger, who currently works at the Institut des Hautes Physique in Bucharest, where he established wave dynamics based on de Broglie's theory of material waves.
However, although Schrödinger was also a physicist, he could not preside over the research of nuclear physics because his major was not right.
Eder could only pull up from the short and choose Romania's own scientist, Polksba from Buzeu
Became the head of the Romanian nuclear test.
Polksba studied at the University of Iasi, then at the University of Munich, where he studied quantum mechanics and atomic physics under Arnold Sommerfeld, and then at the University of Goettingen, on the recommendation of his supervisor.
When he returned to Romania, he taught at the University of Bucharest and conducted his own experiments. When Eder was preparing to conduct secret nuclear bomb research, he fell in love with Heisenberg's brother at a glance.
For Polksbar, who is dedicated to research, the royal family's support for his research in atomic physics is simply unwanted. Therefore, he is responsible for the research and development of the newly established Institute of Atomic Physics.
However, the R&D process is also difficult, mainly because there is no clear goal. Because the nuclear test that Eder knew was the neutron bombardment of uranium-235, how to bombard, and the conditions required for it were unknown, which was simply a shame for the traverser.
So Polksba needs to use his knowledge to help Eder fulfill this wish, but unfortunately due to the limitations of his skills and abilities, this wish cannot be completed for a long time.
When Eder visited the Institute of Atomic Physics and listened to Polxbar's report, he already had an idea.
When Edel walked out of the Institute of Atomic Physics, he called the chief of the guard. "Send a message to the Protestant Congress and say I want to meet them."
There is no way, the progress of nuclear research in Romania is too slow at the moment, and Eder wants to speed up the progress. Romania's own scientific strength alone was not enough, and foreign aid had to be sought, and the best foreign aid at the moment was the Jewish Zionist Congress.
After the failure of the Jewish revolt in 135 C.E., the Jews were expelled from Jerusalem and throughout Palestine.
Thousands of years of wandering have caused the Jews as a group to suffer many injustices. This also has a lot to do with the culture and religion of the time.
In the 16th century, Don Joseph Nasi was already trying to restore the Jewish state with the help of the Ottoman Empire.
After the wave of anti-Semitism appeared in Russia, France, and Germany in the 80~90s of the 19th century, a Zionist trend and movement was formed.
In 1882, L. Pinskel, a Jewish physician in Odessa, Russia, said: "People discriminate against Jews because we are not a state, and the only solution to this problem is to establish a Jewish state." ”
At the same time, the Zionist organization Bilu appeared in Russia and began the organized migration of Jews to Palestine.
A key event in unleashing modern Zionism was the Dreyfus Affair in France in 1894. Jews were deeply shaken by the anti-Semitism that took place in what they considered to be the birthplace of freedom and enlightenment.
One witness to this event was Theodore Herzl, a Jewish-Austrian. In a pamphlet he published in 1896 called The Jewish State, he described the event as a turning point – Herzl had been an anti-Zionist before the Dreyfus affair; After the events he became an ardent follower of Zionism.
In 1897, Herzl convened the first Zionist congress in Basel, Switzerland. The congress established the World Zionist Organization (WZO) and elected Herzl as its first president.
The World Zionist Platform, adopted by the General Assembly, stipulates that the goal of Zionism is to establish a Jewish home in Palestine for the Jewish people, guaranteed by public law.
Zionists believe that Jews in the diaspora who speak different languages throughout the world belong to the same ethnic group and should not be integrated and assimilated with other peoples. The main way to solve the Jewish problem is not to eliminate the class roots that gave rise to anti-Semitism, but to separate from non-Jews and establish a separate state.
This can be achieved without the consent of the inhabitants of the colonies (Palestinians) by obtaining the support of the suzerainty and other great powers and the financing of wealthy Jews, and by continuing to migrate to a certain area.
In fact, however, the justification for the Jewish occupation of Palestine was that the ancestors of the Jews had lived in Palestine. But this is not a reason for Jews to own Palestine, because when a people owns a piece of land for more than 50 years, it owns it.
And the Arabs have lived in Palestine for thousands of years, and the Jewish body has left Palestine, and they are no longer the main ethnic group of Palestine.
In the late 19th century, Jews began to migrate to the Palestinian region, which was now under the administration of the Ottoman Empire. At the end of World War I in 1918, the Ottoman Turkish Empire collapsed and Britain took control of the region. With the permission of the British government, the migration of Jews to the region accelerated, mainly from Eastern Europe, especially the Soviet Union.
At that time, there were more than 1.2 million Arabs in Palestine, accounting for more than two-thirds of the total population. However, the territory of the Arab States in the partition resolution covers only 43 per cent of the total area of Palestine. What is even more intolerable to the Arabs is that the territory of the Arab State is fragmented and disconnected, mostly hilly and barren.
The Jewish State, which has only 600,000 Jews, less than one-third of its population, occupies 57 per cent of the total area of Palestine, most of which is located along the coast, with fertile land and abundant water resources. Therefore, the Arabs have the right to oppose the resolution, because it is inherently unfair.
That's why Romania doesn't support the Jews, not because of Eder's sympathy. Rather, Romania has strong ideas about the Middle East, and the Arabs, who make up an absolute number of them, must not be offended. So Romania has not expressed an opinion on the affairs of the region at all.
And now, seeing that nuclear research has been delayed and Eder has decided that he must give it a push, there is no better option than in the Restoration Congress, which has sufficient prestige among the Jews. Whoever makes up such a large proportion of Jews in the scientific community, Eder can only get through the difficulties first.
Eder's demands soon reached the Zionist Council through various channels.
As for the news that Edel wants to contact him, the board of directors who leads his organization takes it very seriously. This is because only the British government has given limited support, and although the British have agreed to settle Jews in the Palestinian areas, only 10,000 people are given a quota each year.
It should be noted here that although the British government supported the settlement of Jews in the Palestinian areas, in order to appease the local Arabs, there were many restrictions on the settlement of Jews in the area.
Although the Jews have money, but money can not buy everything, the current world economic recession, so that the governments of the country a big headache, and in order to avoid the aggravation of the people's dissatisfaction with the government, all countries have consciously directed their dissatisfaction to the Jews, which has also led to the epidemic of anti-Semitism in Europe and the United States.
And in Europe alone, attacks against Jews are more than twice as high as they were in the twenties. The vast majority of the victims were ordinary Jews.
So don't look at the Jews who seem to be doing well in the afterlife, but in the present time the Jews can only try to protect themselves.
So for the invitation of King Eder of Romania, the Jewish Council attached great importance to it. Without Edeldo waiting, an important member of the group boarded a ship bound for Romania.
