Chapter 14: The Police Station (6)
Two things can be seen in the man's surprised and even frightened expression, first of all, the man recognized me. At the same time that I was able to recognize him when I got his photo, this guy also got information about my appearance from some kind of source. The other thing is that he didn't expect us to get here before him, and that he was just in time for us to arrive.
His shouts did not make everyone present react for a while, only the people around him and the people who came in as soon as he came in looked at us, and the other policemen present and even the man in police uniform who had just come downstairs did not immediately react to what was happening.
The people who reacted didn't care about the police around them, and they all prepared to pull out their guns, some looked for cover while pulling out their guns, and some pushed away the police officers around them and pulled the guy in the photo to the side.
I pulled the trigger on the men, and just as my gun rang out, Salim stepped out of the aisle and started shooting. Christovich, on the other hand, walked quickly past us and quickly went up the stairs, heading upstairs.
My and Salim's shots instantly threw the entire office area into chaos. The first guy to get shot was the guy who had just come down from upstairs. He looked back at us as he saw the others draw their guns, and then he was shot twice and fell to the ground. And a man in civilian clothes standing beside him was hit in a daze and fell beside this man.
It was only after the two men fell one after another that the bullet bit our real target. The guy who was about to run while pulling the guy in the photo was hit, lost control of his body, slammed into the desk on the side, and fell to the ground without moving. And what about the guy himself in the photo? He crawled and hid behind a desk and didn't move. Instead, the others brought in by this guy tried to fight back against us after hiding. The other policemen, after realizing what had happened, thought very little about fighting back, and more ran out of the police station, similar to the ordinary people who were taken to the police station by the police, everyone was on the run.
We don't care about those who are on the run, our target is not them, let alone killing people and causing terror. I quickly turned my gun on those who were hiding behind a table ready to fight back. The tables were not bulletproof, and one of them was quickly smashed into a sieve under the heavy fire of the rifle, and the fate of the guy hiding behind the table can be imagined.
"Go upstairs! Fast! "I shot and shouted at Salim.
Salim agreed, shooting at the guys who were hiding and quickly retreated up the stairs, while Christovich, who was on the stairs at the moment, also began to shoot under cover. Just as I was about to step up the stairs, a figure flashed through the entrance to the office area, and then a gunshot rang out from there.
"Go upstairs! Hurry up, hurry up! I shouted as I turned my gun again and fired several shots in quick succession towards the entrance. The figure that flashed and shot at us must have come with the guy in the photo, and they heard the gunshots inside and wanted to rush in to help.
"Salim! Cover! Kristovich, watch upstairs! I quickened my pace as I spoke, and the few people downstairs were still hiding and not moving, and they had shot before, but now it seemed like they had given up on counterattacking. Maybe it's because I think it's better to hide for a while and wait for someone else to rescue you than to be shot and killed by indiscriminate shooting.
While Salim was rhythmically playing short, I quickly turned around and ran upstairs, and after catching up with Christovich, the two of us headed upstairs together. At the moment, the upstairs seemed very quiet, and there was no movement at all. I slowly walked to the second floor by the wall of the staircase, and there was nothing at the top of the staircase on the second floor, and not only was there no one but also no special movement, except for the occasional gunshots from downstairs.
I slowly came to the corner of the staircase and the corridor on the second floor, I slowly put down the rifle in my hand, and picked up the pistol I was carrying, looking at the left side of the corridor while listening to the movement on the right side of the corridor. After I really couldn't find anything, I motioned for Christovich, who was slightly behind me, to step forward and tell him to pay attention to the movement on the left side of the hallway.
Kristovic quickly came to a position parallel to mine, and when he arrived, he first glanced to the right, then shook his head at me and showed that he couldn't see anything. I nodded at him, he pointed to the left, then I raised the gun in my hand and placed it on my chest, and after gesturing to Christovich, they both leaned out at the same time and looked to the sides.
As soon as I poked out my little head, I saw a figure hiding at a table in the aisle, and the guy quickly spotted me and pulled the trigger. But because the angle of fire was so small, his bullets hit the wall on my side, and my first two shots hit the table in front of him.
I quickly retracted my head after two shots, and Christovic retracted as I pulled back, signaling to me that there was still no one to see on my left. At that moment, I heard movement from the right, the sound of someone trying to open the door and turn the lock.
I immediately leaned out again and motioned for Christovic to keep staring to the left, because there should have been three or four people in charge of guarding it according to the information provided by Rebic, and at this moment there were only two people who had come down the stairs and the guy I had just seen and shot at each other, which meant that there should be another person here who was not seen. So I have to be careful, be careful of where the other party is still hiding quietly, waiting for us. Not to mention that there may be other police officers on it.
As soon as Christovic understood, I leaned out again, this time to see a figure trying to enter a room on the left hand side of the hallway.
I immediately pulled the trigger on the figure, and fired two shots at him, and the man didn't have time to enter the room half of his body, but the bullet didn't hit his torso but only one of his arms, and the whole person staggered into the room.
"Follow me." After I said a word, I walked out of the staircase into the hallway and walked quickly towards the room, as I approached the room, I first saw the blood stains left on the table, it seemed that this guy was injured before he got up and ran into the room, he chose to get up and run to the room when he was forced to do so. I quickly shifted my gaze to the room, and just then, the gun in Christovich's hand behind me rang out.
