Wedge Floating Night

Next Chapter

In the evening, the country of floating opera.

With a chirp, a piece of rotting flesh fell to the ground, and a few drops of foul-smelling and thick pus, mixed with scarlet blood, splattered and fell.

A walking corpse slowly moved towards the city gate, its tensile throat creaking.

The clothes on the corpses had become ragged and wet, soaked with a foul-smelling liquid, and the original color was not recognizable. The exposed skin between the clothes was yellow and transparent, and from time to time it slipped off a piece, revealing the rotten bones inside.

There was a dead silence in the city of Fuxi, only the sound of bars sounding from time to time echoed in the air.

The city was filled with mist.

There was a panicked and heavy sound of footsteps, and a woman ran desperately towards the city gate with swaddling clothes in her arms. She was in tattered clothes, and her hands and face were full of furrows, as if she had been opened by some sharp weapon. The flesh near the wound was turned over like a child's mouth.

The woman crawled and crawled, not caring about the blood on her legs and hands, but just protecting the baby in her arms.

The baby was obedient, and did not cry for a while.

At last the woman ran to the city gate.

The gates were closed, and she couldn't move with all her strength. She banged on the door desperately, howling in despair and hoarse.

The city gate was speechless.

The woman was in despair. She leaned and sat on the ground, her eyes staring straight at the fog behind her, her eyes full of bottomless fear.

In the mist, a swaying figure gradually became clear, with the sound of flesh falling to the ground, gradually approaching the city gate. Then, the crackling sound gradually intensified, and more and more figures staggered behind.

The woman held the baby in her arms and trembled like chaff, and kicked her feet with her back against the gate, eager to squeeze herself into the door.

The foul smell grew stronger, and the woman's eyes blackened. She picked up the baby in her arms, kissed it vigorously, then buried her face in the swaddling clothes and began to cry.

Suddenly, the baby purred a strange sound.

The woman jerked her head and saw that the baby's eyes had turned a cloudy yellow-green, and the delicate skin on her face had become yellow and transparent. The corners of his mouth gradually grinned in a strange arc, as if he was not smiling.

With a "poof", one of the baby's eyes burst open, and the cloudy liquid splashed the woman's face.

The woman screamed in a hoarse voice, and her hand shook to throw the baby out.

As soon as she raised her hand, the baby's two small hands suddenly stretched out from the swaddling clothes. With the sound of hula and flesh detaching from bones, there was a pop, and the small bone claws poked into the woman's neck.

Blood gushed from the woman's neck, and her head slammed against the scarlet gate, and she did not move.

As the walking corpses gathered around the city gates, the first to arrive leaned down and began to eat the woman's limbs.

The flesh of the walking corpse was rotten, and the flesh of the woman who had swallowed it fell down the leaky jaw. It crackled, mingling with the sound of flesh falling from the walking corpse.

The walking corpses behind slowly followed, and the black pressure was surrounded by a pile around the city gate.

On the bare treetops by the city gate, a humanoid object was parked silently.

The thing stood on a very thin branch, light and fluttering, not small, but it did not bend the treetops at all, as if it had no weight at all.

The two feet clung to the branches resembled the claws of birds, and he wore a blood-red cloth robe, and his long black and messy hair reached to his waist, and under the hair was a small head that was extremely disproportionate to his figure.

And what is even more incommensurate with this little head is the narrow face behind the hair, two huge eyes with blue light, which flicker strangely in the dark night like two nameless ghost fires of mass graves.
