Chapter Twenty-Nine: Scientific Expedition (I)

The strange turmoil in the imperial court has nothing to do with the current Pei Min, and his only thought at the moment is the imperial examination. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. biqUgE怂 ļ½‰ļ½Žļ½†ļ½

Before coming to Chang'an, Pei Min was still full of confidence, and felt that it was easy to get a champion with his own ability. But since I became friends with He Zhizhang and Zhang Xu, I have seen the profound skills of the two of them in literature, and I truly realize the meaning of the four words "endless learning".

It is further clear that if he wants to obtain the top prize in the imperial examination, it is by no means as simple as obtaining Xie Yuan, especially when he applied for the Jinshi Examination.

The imperial examination in the Tang Dynasty was divided into several subjects, the most common of which was Jinshi and Mingjing, in addition to Xiucai, Junshi, Mingfa, Mingzi, Mingshu, Erudite Hongci and so on, the most difficult of which was Xiucai, but because Xiucai was too difficult, it was blocked. The second is Jinshi and Mingjing, which are also the two most important subjects in the imperial examination. In particular, the Jinshi course is generally only one-tenth of the Ming Jing subject each time, so it is the most noble, and its status has become the first of all subjects. For this reason, people at that time called Jinshi and the first person "the minister in white". There is also a saying of "thirty old Ming Jing, fifty young Jinshi", which means that if you are admitted to the Ming Jing Department at the age of thirty, you are already old, and you are still young when you are fifty years old.

Of course, there is no shortage of young heroes, who won the championship at a young age.

Pei Min understood the difficulty of the middle jinshi, and secretly relaxed the requirements for himself, not staring at the champion to think, as long as the first class jinshi and the first.

The so-called Jinshi and the first is also commonly known as one of the champions, lists, and tanhuas.

The Tang Dynasty divided those with excellent results in scientific examinations into three grades, commonly known as the top three. These top three are not literally top three, but three levels. The first is the Jinshi and the first, there are three places, that is, the champion, the list eye, and the tanhua mentioned earlier, the second is the Jinshi origin, and the third is the same Jinshi origin. The number of the first class is fixed at three, the number of the second and third class is random, and the top three are qualified to be officials.

This day is the day of the imperial examination, Pei Min is all ready, Zhang Xu also got up early in the morning, personally warmed his daughter red, and wished him to be able to go to high school......

Daughter Hong also has a name called Champion Red!

Pei Min shook his head and smiled bitterly: Drunkards can't do anything without wine, and for Zhang Xu's kindness, he naturally drank it all.

The place where the Jinshi examination was held was in the Ministry of Rites and Tribute Institute of Shangshu Province, and this provincial examination was much more stringent than the examination of the Jie. Candidates who enter Shangshu Province to participate in the scientific examination have to go through a rigorous examination all the way, and the layer is more stringent than the other. Outside Shangshu Province, you only need to check the identity and household registration of the candidates, and when you enter the Shangshu Province to arrive at the Ministry of Rites, in addition to checking the identity and household registration of the candidates, you must also check the belongings you carry-on.

If there is any violation, the official will not be polite to the candidate and will be expelled from the examination room.

Pei Min saw with his own eyes that a benevolent brother copied the scriptures in the sleeve of his shirt and found it for the prosecutor, directly wrote down his name, drove him out of the examination room, and ordered him not to retake the exam for a year.

If this kind of thing happened in other dynasties, it was rare to go to prison and be punished, but the Tang Dynasty was recognized as lenient in criminal law. In this case, it is just a year of expulsion warning and cannot be retaken.

Pei Min thought in his heart: If there is a chance in the future, he can give his opinion in this regard. It's not a bad thing that the criminal law is lax, but it has to be harsh when it should be. The key to governing the country is the Confucian skin and the bones, especially in the imperial examination, which should be dealt with strictly. After all, this champion is a parent official who serves the country and the people, and a person who has succeeded by opportunism, if he is a local official, won't he harm a side of the land?

In his thoughts, Pei Min passed the rigorous inspection and entered the examination room.

Looking at the question paper in his hand, Pei Min realized that the test he participated in Youzhou was not at the same level as the provincial test this time. There are three exams, which are silent writing, Moyi, and Tijing. The provincial examination is also three examinations. The test is scripture, poetry, and current affairs. In other words, the three sessions of the solution test can be worth the first session of the provincial test, and the content is more extensive.

According to the regulations before the Tang Dynasty, it was a test to eliminate a group of people, and a test to eliminate a group of people. To be sure, this method of elimination has improved efficiency, but it has greatly killed real talent. It is better to say that the scriptures belong to the knowledge of the masses. But poetry relies more on artistic talent, and not everyone can master this art. Often when it comes to current affairs, the truly outstanding talents have been eliminated at the level of poetry.

And the implementation of the vague name system has just redeemed this. Because it is not a direct real-name marking, the total score of the three exams can give talents who are seriously biased a chance to show their strengths.

As in the past, this exam is a history.

Pei Min was in the He Mansion for two or three months, after the training of He Zhizhang and Zhang Xu, his knowledge of history has become more and more profound, and there may be some differences from the grandmasters, but the title of an expert is enough to take on it.

In the face of this first history, there was no stage fright, read the exam questions, thought a little, and started to write.

In addition to the improvement of the level of economic history, Pei Min's characters have also made full progress, and Xiaokai writing has become more and more handy, not only pure imitation, but vaguely has its own style.

In this first exam, Pei Min successfully answered it perfectly.

The second poem, this is Pei Min's most headache and the most sure exam. Pei Min understands the history of the scriptures and can learn the history of the scriptures, but he is full of poetry, he really has no talent. Whether it is Pei Jingyuan in later generations or Pei Min in this life, this is the case. It is precisely the Tang Dynasty that attaches great importance to poetry, even if you are educated and average in current affairs, as long as the poetry is passed, you can also win the championship. It is also because of this atmosphere that Tang poetry will leave a brilliant mark in history, and Li Bai, who is at the peak of poetry, can let a figure like Gao Lishi take off his boots for him.

Pei Min's headache is because he really has no talent, and grasping nature is the unique talent of the traverser......

There are 300 Tang poems, even if you give up the poets of the previous and this era, there are still many choices.

Pei Min thought about it carefully and chose Li Shangyin's seven unique poems in his memory. Li Shangyin is a famous poet of the late Tang Dynasty and Du Mu is jointly called "Little Li Du", and is also one of Pei Min's favorite poets, especially several of his untitled love poems are the best reference for writing love letters. After some choice, he wrote Li Shangyin's "Jin Se" on the answer sheet:

Jin Se gratuitously fifty strings, one string and one pillar Si Hua Nian.

Zhuang Shengxiao dreams of butterflies, and hopes that the emperor will trust the cuckoo in spring.

There are tears in the pearl of the sea and the moon, and the blue field is warm and the jade is smoking.

This situation can be recalled, but it was already clear at the time.

One of Li Shangyin's masterpieces in this poem, Pei Min believes that even if Li Bai competes with him on the same stage, as long as the other party does not write eternal poems such as "Will Enter the Wine", he may not be able to beat him.
